  1. The grace of late birth 😅😉
  2. I was thinking about this for some time now. Especially after fading my Denime 220 and seeing so many examples of Warehouse jeans which have strong fades after a short time: do they design it like this so people are satisfied quicker and can start a new pair earlier? Or do they just save indigo and dye less to save money (in the current economic sitaution in Japan)? Also my Sugar Cane SC 1946 fade rather quick. Or I just got better at wearing jeans...
  3. Ruined is a very strong word but somehow this "new Denime" made me less interested in the recent releases. When Warehouse took over I was very excited. Knowing they wanted to go back to the origin and rumors have it that Hayashi-san helped them (inofficially of course). The "new" XX denim they made for the 220 faded extreme quickly. Allegedly this is how the first run(s) of XX denim faded. I don't know. The XX denim I have on my pairs is of course from later runs and this faded rather slow. The fit of the 220 is very different to the original XX model (but after all I liked the fit, so I won't complain too much). All in all, these releases feel very Warehouse-like but with a different patch, red tab and hardware. Original Denime felt more rugged/unrefined. Even the 220 model now with different denims, changes of cut is totally Warehouse-style. In that regard, the 30th Original Line was a very good product and got the sense of "old Denime" very well (just don't talk about the 3-6 years under Wego before they introduced the original Line, they watered down Denime).
  4. It's been just released in August. Unless Denime/Warehouse hasn't posted some progress pics (of which I'm not aware) you won't find examples.
  5. Ah yes, the different position of the back belt loop. I understand the Banner Denim as follows: based on the Levi's advertisement banner Warehouse owns (from the 1920s/1930s), they had Kurabo reproduce it. The Kurabo version has a brownish weft opposed to the older Banner denim version made by another mill. And they use this Banner denim on different models without paying attention to the period.
  6. What's the difference on those to the 47 model? It uses the same Baner denim (from the 1920s/1930s). So probably just a slightly tweaked cut and some other thread colours?
  7. Nope, the shipping is 3000¥ flat on top. They ask 10% over the domestic price. So basically as if they wouldn't deduct the VAT. I asked them about it.
  8. And their overseas price is higher than their domestic price
  9. Neal, you are thinking in extremes I think in this case we were talking about 0.5-1". If one really needs that extra length it could be achieved through sagging. Would I base an online purchase on this? Never. But if the jeans can be tried on before the purchase and it works for the individual, why not? I will just keep on hiking up my higher rise jeans ever now and then before I step on my hem (Bodies are simply different and what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another one).
  10. I am not sure what a picture of Britney with obviously low rise jeans adds to the argument of wearing high rise jeans lower than intended but then I'm not a native speaker as you know so it maybe just went over it head
  11. Well he has his standard model, and then builds the western version on top of that (in a standard way). And then yes, you can still ask for some alterations which are not too far away from the original pattern. It's best to contact him on his rebuilt.jp account
  12. Well, there is some truth in it. I have experienced it every so often that some high rise jeans just tend to sag to the usual spot where I wear my jeans and since they are worn lower than intended, this adds to the overall length/Inseam. That's also why i often don't like some high rise jeans, they will simply fall down (even with a belt).
  13. @malik or you could go the semi-custom route. Libra Pondus Lb40s. https://rebuilt.jp/lb40s_size/ Ono-san offers a Western version which is basically 2 sizes up in the rise, hips and thighs. So you would look at a W38 but with rise, hips and thighs of a W40 (not pictured here but you can extrapolate). You would need to get in touch with him via IG and see if he wants to do it.
  14. I wore the 47 denim only for a brief time (in the 2021 model, my 1947 are unworn) and yes, this 46 denim fades quicker.
  15. Washed again for science at 30°C. No changes
  16. Available on a German site: https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/jeans-sugarcane/2853625601-160-17302?utm_source=sharesheet&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_android Dunno which model and a small size. If you need a proxy...tell me 😅
  17. Yes, Simone is working together with a friend on a special patch design.
  18. @Broark did you cave in already? 😉
