  1. To make the shipping worthwhile, I also got this sweater. Extra long cuffs. And some wear and tear on my blanket lined Type2
  2. I really dig that look...on others 😅 it would probably bug me as well on my pairs
  3. Yeah, the Kyoto is rather slim. Has similarities to the Resolute 710. I am still searching for a W36 in this cut because of the slimmer nature.
  4. Haven't considered that yet. Also don't wanna harm/fade the denim. Gonna think about it
  5. Damn, you are right! Didn't check my Tokyo model. So it's still some kind of detail for special models. The leather of the patch also seems to be different to the standard models. But no idea what animal it is from. Measurements: W36 Waist: 36.5" Front rise: 12" Back rise: 16" Thighs: 14" Knee: 9.5" Leg opening: 9" Inseam: 35.75"
  6. I would be lying if I would say I know the answer. All other Denime jeans I have (including standard 66) have the outline X. If this would be an indicator, it feels like Samurai's way to describe their jeans through the patch But I guess this was just a design for the anniversary pair. But maybe there are more models with this thin X?! Anyway, according to old blogs this model uses the same denim as the WW2 model. So definitely no XX denim.
  7. Nope, not at all. They just wrote about an "uncle" that had these stored away. On first sight I just thought "another 66XX in deadstock condition, oh well". Then, on the second sight I noticed the leather patch looking off...and of course a L36 is not on the 66XX. Then the V-stitch and I knew they are the 15th anniversary.
  8. My job here is done. 100% correct! Apart from the oxidized rivets, yes ☺️ In Denime's 60s pairs I prefer a W36. My 66XXs are W36 as well. And these are a BigE model, so 60s.
  9. Sometimes you think that ship as sailed...and then you stumble across something on Yahoo 😅 First I didn't recognise what it was exactly. So I ignored the listing. Then I saw it again and it dawned on me that this is something unique. You can have a guess if you like 😁
  10. Great pick up @Graytrain! The sun fades just add to the character. There are floating w30 and w31 around on Yahoo but not many in a good condition (although I think there's a W31 one-wash for 50k available right now...) As you probably know, there is not much info around. The denim is different to the XX and 66 denim. It is lighter, I think 13.5oz or so. And it will fade more into a lighter blue. Not as white/grey like Denime usually does. Edit: it was a W30. Here it is https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/auction/yahoo/input/b1132290997/
  11. Redchris used to be a user here. IIRC he got banned. Still "active" at Denimbro in the BST-forum
  12. That's a serious wide fit in the legs
  13. I only measured the waist and inseam. Waist didn't really change and inseam only 1". So I definitely expect them to shrink a good amount more with a real wash
  14. Did you buy the last W34 he had? I know it says sanforized but I doubt it is. Naoki said he wore this pair twice already and if he says its unsanforized, it definitely is. Because of this I only cold soaked my pair as I am quite fat ATM. Gonna wash later when I lost some weight again.
  15. My patch didn't change much. It got more dull but not as brown. I dig your patch though
  16. I would have told you the same: with WH it arrives when it arrives. Was with every release so far. And the answer is always: Both!
  17. Nice pic (and purchase). Sugar Cane claimed that this second restock was the final one so you are probably right.
  18. Fun fact, Martin Sheen's left arm was broken at his birth, causing less mobility in his arm and thus forced him to put on jackets in a certain way.
  19. You wouldn't be the first to do a similar thing: https://fromsqualortoballer.com/product-review-orslow-107-jeans/
  20. There are repros where it is done on purpose, e.g. the Sugar Cane 1946 or also TCB's 40s model. Could be the case here as well. Could also just be the normal human error (especially when we talk about 1/4")
  21. Libra Pondus Lb40s Jeans Ono-san's take on a 501XX from WW2. Washed once and worn between 5-10 times. Size 36x33, modified for Western bodies. Measurements Waist: 34" Front Rise: 12.25" Thighs: 13.2" Leg opening: 8.5" Inseam: 32.5" Asking 200€ + shipping (which could get expensive if you want the original metal box)
  22. Yep, that's the "Vietnam War" model they did several years ago. Very nice denim, too big in the waist for me
