I haven’t posted many garden updates through the summer, because the lighting’s really tough to get right for photos, but that’s still where the jeans have been getting a good chunk of their wear Sunflowers came & went: (Okay, wasn’t wearing the jeans for that last photo, but they were there for the gardening) Winter squashes are getting ready, now, to pop up in the sunflowers’ place—but the few we sowed on the other side of the yard already have a strong head start. The longest vines are gaining close to a foot each day! Sunday, 7 pm: This morning, 7 am: This evening, 7 pm: Echinacea (bought pre-started) is doing great, & so’s the creeping ficus that had to start over this spring after I tore down the last decade’s growth …bench corner now also featuring yellow mallow + more potted pansies, and hopefully some cup-and-saucer flowers to be popping up some time next week in the other pot to the right Exciting things are starting to happen in the raised bed and in the little herb garden: more to come! -
