  1. It looks like Warehouse is producing two designs for JG for the upcoming season. Cool unique designs and the stuff under this line has been really top notch so far.
  2. I have a two pocket with an after-hood from Workers that's great. Like everything from Workers it fits very short and square, not going to fit every body type. I also admire a similar one that Warehouse produces under the John Gluckow label. I haven't seen that one in person but the JG items I've gotten a look at I'm over the moon about. It might have a pointed hood though.

First wash of the 1890s I had some additional shrink in the waist and rise. Not huge but noticeable in the fit. Wash with care if you like your fit.
  4. Thanks very much, that's perfect. We have similar taste in shoes!
  5. By normal size, is that your brannock size, or relative to a specific last? I'm looking at the same leather.
  6. How does your russell size compare to your yuketen size? I've owned russells but my experience with their quality control and customer service has been poor enough that I wouldn't buy from them again.
  7. Can anyone share their experience with sizing yuketen's moccasin last? Yuketen and most stockists recommend taking brannock size. I have a wide food and a high instep, and I prefer a roomy toe and don't mind a little heel slip. Any advice? Save me from making a bad decision.

36 sounds right. You could probably squeeze into a 34 but it will ride up your ass.

I recommend going by their 'waist/around' measurements rather than 'waist/flat'. Measure your waist circumference with a flexible tape and go by that. The 50s runs smaller in the waist than their other models. My waist measured this way is ~90cm and I very comfortably wear a 50s size 36, it's a relaxed fit.
  10. agree. getting freaky in the tub with your jeans is cool. i like his huge cat. everyone do your own thing.
  11. Buzz Rickson's thermals are very good. I've cycled through a lot of BR stuff and the thermals are the item that has stuck over time. I wear 1 size smaller than my usual BR size. They are cheap (relatively) from Hinoya.

    Black 505s coming soon.
  13. A warehouse sweat probably won't blow you away right away. Modern mass produced sweatshirts from Champion and similar brands are not bad at imitating a quality feeling out of the box, compared to modern denim which doesn't feel much like real denim at all. I bought a Champion sweat last year for a football game and it feels great in the hand, not that different from a 401. The best qualities of warehouse's sweats mostly come out over time by allowing the garment to gracefully age. The sweat will hold its shape, resist pilling and tearing, the brushed interior holds its structure and continues to feel comfortable against the skin, and it will fade attractively along its seams. You have to love wearing it long enough for it to 'pay off' though. edit: I own a 403, a 450 and a 409. Agree with you that the pointy hoods on a lot of loopwheeled hoodies are unfortunate... obviously a different connotation in jp.
  14. I've added a few items here: a Buzz Rickson sweatshirt, TCB western denim shirt, Moonstar alweather sneakers, Grant Stone chelseas. Check out the Grant Stone listing if you want to see some wear on CF Stead waxy commander. I love the gentle roll of this leather and rough patina where the wax scuffs off. Think the boot looks great.

About a month in the 1890. Cool jeans I think.

I have 7 jackets from tcb and the measurements on the site are precise. None of my jackets vary from advertised p2p by more than a cm. I don't own a 60s but would expect the same. They do generally run smaller than equivalent tag size from Warehouse.
  17. From instagram @weejawns
  18. What wrangler model is that? I like the single pocket.
  19. Listing some things on ebay. Everything is in good condition, they are for sale because I'm not satisfied with the fit or I've replaced them with other items. I think all listings have measurements. You can view everything here: https://www.ebay.com/usr/prof_wpwilber You can make me an offer by direct message here. Happy to answer any questions or just chat about my impressions of the item. I will deduct ebay's middle man fee from the price and work with you on shipping (as long as you don't make it a pain in the ass.) I ship from the USA and I don't know anything about international shipping so you have to make it dummy proof for me. 2 weeks in the 1890. Really like these so far.

For TCB 30s you can just take your waist size. It fits true to the measurements on the website. The seat is generous enough to size down once if you want a trimmer look, or you can size up once or twice if you want to wear them like a TCB guy in the instagram pictures. I wear size 34 in 30s, 40s, tabbys work pant, cats drive, the new 1890. 50s jeans I wear size 36 because the 34 is too tight in the seat.

here's my 30s. Not sure how many times worn or washed. Very nice cut, love wearing these.

Little medley of new TCB releases from the summer. Number 2 jeans are very easy to wear at your regular waist size. Surprisingly a more understated and modern fit than other TCB models. Really pleased with them. EDIT: I wear the same size in all TCB models (34, my actual waist size) except for 50s which I size up to a 36 for additional room in the seat. These are a perfect fit for me, not oversized or tight at all.
  24. One might argue that the existence of cultural value is evidenced by a hobbyist forum dedicated to importing premium denim from Japan.
  25. The rose anvil review misrepresents the intent of the boot by reducing its value to a sum of parts, as if buying a shoe is equivalent to shopping for a table saw. First of all, cultural value matters. Alden is the most iconic American clothing brand still manufactured in the USA. The styles are timeless. The quality hasn't meaningfully changed in decades. Again, if you want Aldens, there's really no alternative. Grant Stone has comparable styles but is manufactured (well) in China with trendy leathers that cater to a younger audience. The review also sensationalizes a number of points or presents opinion as fact. The rebuttal here is good and makes the points better than I could: https://100wears.com/in-defense-of-the-alden-indy/
