  1. Who makes good linen or silk workshirts? My current go-to (a Tori Richards sample from a thrift store in Kailua Kona, I think) has treated me great but is starting to wear thin at the shoulders and elbows

Interested in something pretty lightweight to be worn on long hikes

Not limiting myself to "SuFu-approved" brands for this one, though I'd def. prefer ethical / small-scale production

  2. Agreed, really envious of that linen square-tailed shirt—would be perfect for hiking in, and it's aged beautifully

Here are some photos of the Type 430 Butterfly shirt in red-ochre-dyed airbag cambric, size 4

The fabric's really nice and stretchy, but this size is too slim for me in the shoulders (works great everywhere else)

    Also feat. Cane's and Birks

  3. They’re def. slim, but nowhere near TFH levels of slim

@Dan_F, I posted direct comparison photos between Ues and TFH flannels a couple pages ago, might be of interest to you

  4. Anyone interested in a Butterfly Shirt in red-ochre-dyed airbag cambric, size 4? Picked it up a few years ago and it's a size too small, still unworn with all the tags and all that—really lovely shirt

Would be happy to sell or trade

  5. @Double 0 Soul yeah, the cinch has been punched through at one point (the second apparent point in that photo is just some inconveniently-placed lint / fuzz). The same's true on my M41027—both are punched through towards the end of the cinch in such a way as to not serve any real purpose—and that's made me wonder if it was standard for some retailers to set the cinch up before sale / exhibition just to show its intended use…thoughts?

  6. ^ I’ve tried combining shipping a few times, and it’s never been any cheaper than shipping items separately; actually, once the consolidation fee is included, it’s often more expensive.

If you’re waiting ‘til the end of the auction to bid, why not just use the sniper bid option?

  7. Yeah, I’ve always been really interested in their Wranglers, but the ultra-low rises have kept me from ever trying a pair; seems like their Levi’s are cut to be much more accommodating

Also seems like the owner must have a pretty good personal collection, with all the CSF collabs supposedly being based off his jeans and not Konaka-San’s?

  8. Anyone have experience with the Buzz service shoes? Been thinking about the William Gibson edition, in particular: https://item.rakuten.co.jp/hinoya/br02146

    Thoughts on construction? Sizing?

edit: Those White's moc toes are really appealing too…if they'd come out a year earlier, I'd've probably gone for them over the Lofgrens, but they're def. on the table for the (somewhat distant, at this point) future

  9. Been watching a TV show recently, Halt and Catch Fire—it's a really great show all around, but its theme song in particular is one of very few that keep me from skipping past the intro

The theme's by a Danish guy Trentemøller who's always made some of my favorite background music for studying / working, with The Last Resort being the album to which I most often default:
