Hello- paid entry fee several days ago. Have not received any confirmation.
I believe the confirmation auto-email is not working, but mega manually puts it all down in a spreadsheet. If you've paid, you're in.

Yep, a damn good read @Bobbo

So is anyone going for these?

If I didn't have the 1001HXX collaboration already I'd be in for a pair of these, I love the WWII detailing and flannel pocket bags.0 -

Figured as much. Had completely forgotten about porkys until I saw a random pic and thought what the hell happened to the patch!

Just noticed this but Porkys have changed their patch and removed the red tab on their 66 model. Anyone know the reason or is it probably a legal thing with Levis?
Either way, that pig is HARD BOILED for sure

Anyone in London going to the below tonight? Rudy (owner of Son of a Stag) seems to be opening a store aimed at denim repairs, alteration, etc. Looks pretty fucking cool store from the outside.

Niro, how did you size on the shirt? Sweet pickup.
I went with size 2
For reference I am 5'10 and super slim at around 138 pound mark.

Niro, Maynard is likely right but Naoki at Pants Shop Avenue may be a possible source. As I recall, they once had them raw, the only ones I’ve seen not one wash. Mine were one wash, starting out a dark indigo color and the evolution as the indigo faded and the colors emerged was a kick! Best of luck. If I find a source, I’ll let you know - please do the same for me as I’d like another shot at them. [email protected]
edit - www.rogues.co.jp, Rakuten Global Market has a size 31 in what they are calling "hard wash" for $235.86 US. Hard wash likely means they will start out with some color showing.
Thanks lance. I'll shoot Naoki an email.
I also found that pair on rogues, but didn't look too good. We do love our raws to break in ourselves
I'll definitely let you know if I find somewhere

Anyone know if Sugar Cane still do runs of the rainbow okinawas or was it a one time thing?

I just got my hands on probably the most beautiful shirt I own; the Kasuri indigo dyed shirt. Real nice 6oz fabric with off white mother of pearl snap buttons and the top button is metal cats eye.
My first PBJ shirt. I've been tempted before, because they really do make some amazing indigo dyed shirts, but this one really is something special. My pics do not do it justice (sorry especially for the crappy lighting).

i've got the 002s. Worn mine for about 2 months, but they are now in wardrobe as I decided to enter the DWC.
To be honest, I should have sized up one. Wearable, but on the tight side for me. For anyone that wants RJB jeans in slim tapered fit but in a mid rise, then these are the answer.
The denim is amazing. The look of the denim combined with the silhouette make for the smartest looking jeans I own. Danny's (of Rivet & Hide) pair have got awesome fades after 6 months, really lovely shade of indigo.

Excellent review @beautiful_FrEaK
If you do decide to enter DWC with these jeans, will be great to see how it goes!

Nice purchase. A bit harsh to say it's boring though... The '76s develop subtle vertical fades with wear, and in terms of the hairiness, it gets better after a wash. If you look at @Broark's post here, I think it's definitely hairy enough to counter the "not hairy" part. Maybe I'm just a Cone defender, but hopefully it works out well for you! =)
I don't think it's boring denim, it's different to denim I have previously handled, and I like it. I was mentioning that i've read comments of people calling cone denim boring, and I was thinking maybe that was why people thought that.
My pair is nowhere as hairy as Broarks pair was pre wash. I'm looking forward to giving them a wash at some point.
I am very glad to have got a pair, and experience cone denim levis for myself. Maybe one day, some Japanese will be trying to recreate this denim

Got 10% off with levis, so bought a pair of 1976 501s. Been on my list for a long while to get a pair of cone denim levis, and with the news of it closing, now was the time to pull the trigger. My first (and maybe only) pair of jeans in cone denim, so quite excited by them. I have a feeling to get a pair of 1966 501, as part of the collection.
It's the 'cleanest' denim I own now, as in no slub, no nep, not hairy. I guess this is why people have commented that cone denim is boring? It may not have the 'character' of Japanese denim, but I like it.
When I was growing up, my dad and uncle used to talk up how Levis 501 were THE jeans to have. In my teens, I owned a few pair of Levis 501s (the mass produced shite). These may not be a vintage pair of Levis 501, but they are the closest i'll get, and I am very happy to own a pair.
