  2. My god.. they look incredible!.. so many questions At what point does the sole of your foot sit? .. Is there a concealed air cussion in the heel too or is it just foam.. what does the sole look like?
  3. What a glorious day! ..made some breakfast, ..rode up to the tennis courts ..met the offspring there ..all the tennis pro's wear 90s era floral Stussy shorts and battered old Chucks ..kid zooms off back home, racket on back.. headphones on
  4. Those Brooks are a nice 70s repro runner but yellow is a hard colour for me to wear.. even shoes, if i wore a yellow t-shirt, it would give me a washed-out, pastey northern european smackhead kinda vibe.. i just don't have the complexion to pull it off .. i would buy the blu/whi colourway, they're a beauty!
  5. 16x collage of ‘white’ Gildan Tees, in their Ultra Cotton.. I’ve probably got the same amount in gray, black and navy
  6. It's why i never wear flip-flops.. I just can't forgive the Romans
  7. I've bought a couple of bits since buying those SC-47s last year.. I haven't bought anything new for so many years.. i'm getting a bit threadbare.. When i'm at work, i'll wear a sweatshirt for a month or so, changing the baselayers / thermals when they get stinky, i put all my work clothes in a bag and save them till it's packed full then take it home for a wash.. i don't wash my work clothes with the families clothing because it gets covered it bits of sawdust.. ..i do this twice/yr.. alas, in the summer i took a bag of winter work clothes home, sweatshirts and stuff.. some McCoys, some vintage Levi's sweats, when it was all dry, Sarah took it off the line and bagged it up so i could take it back to work.. she left it next to the kitchen bin.. but it disappeared, i've searched at home, at work and in the boot of the car.. i think one of us has emptied the kitchen bin and chucked the bag of clothing away with the household rubbish, i can't think of any other explanation as to where my bag of tatty work clothing has gone?.. so before the cold weather arrives, i need to relegate some sweatshirts and maybe a denim jacket to work duties so i've been sorting out what i actually want to keep and put back into my daily rotation. The vintage Nike is stuff i've owned for the last 20+ yrs, i pulled some old collectables out of the wardrobe when i pulled out the collection of SC-47s to photograph.

  10. I like to watch old footage of the 1981 'Cascade Run-Off' on YT to see all the early adopters of Nike running shoes .. wearing what are now vintage pairs worth £1000s Both Adi and Rudi Dassler were very enthusiastic members of the Nazi party .. they never told us that when we were growing up did they Martin? ..so @ATWM whatever odious direction you think Bill & Phil took the brand, at least they wern't fkin national socialists ..but yes, the older kids around my neighbourhood primarily wore Adidas and Puma in the early 80s I'll leave you with the words of KRS1 from 1988 "How many people got Nike's on? If you got your Nike's on, put your feet up in the air If you don't got Nike's on I think you need to keep your feet down.."
  11. I appreciate that modrn day sportswear giant Nike is a hiddeous thing.. but it wasn't always this way, back in the brands infancy they were just a couple of innovative distance runners. In regards to this^ Waffle era.. this was a guy eating breakfast.. looking at his families much loved waffle iron.. a cherished wedding gift no less which he poured liquid rubber into to create the sole of a running shoe.. It sounds like something i would do .. and i love this about the brand nearly as much as i love Jacob Davis using rivets to hold a pair of denim pants together.. plus the pull of nostalgia is massive, when i was a young penniless vintage shopper, nylon Nike runners and vintage Levi's where my way of life.. it was cheap and not many other folks wanted them.. hindsight ect..
  12. Because Japanese denim companies do it better.. nobody produces a better 70s era Nike repro runner than Nike themselves
  13. The LD1000 Vntg in the purple colourway is a thing of absolute beauty I look on them the same way i look at Levi's.. I love Levi's but i would never entertain buying a pair of modern 501s, i prefer to buy a JP repro. Yet i highly covet golden age Levis, it's the same shit with Nike.. these shoes are repros from a golden era when a pair of university students keen on distance running were trying to produce a better running shoe and much like Levi's became a victim of their own success..
  14. More Waffling.. Deadstock 2012 Vntg Elites Yellowing mid Washed out suede Even the mould spots on the laces are intentional repro.. to mimic the appearance of boxed vintage 1971 - 1980 Golden age of Nike.. Oh Mama! Iconic 70s swoosh shape 2012 - 2013 Vntg Repro
