Very nice! Are they 'Perfect Fitting'.. the toebox looks quite pointy? I love the pooch on the heel patch 😍 I'd sort them laces out tho.. parallel would look nicer

Google used to be great.. we had a symbiotic relationship, i knew they were r*ping me but it worked brilliantly! I tried duckduck but it sucked in comparison, then maybe 5yrs ago, i bagged google entirely and swapped Gmail for Protonmail but that was too klunky which irritated me. Now google sucks, it's no better or worse than any other search bar.. initially i thought it was a cookie preference thing.. ie- i used to research denim daily, especially Japanese sites and google always knew exactly where i was going.. When i had a few years denim hiatus, i thought it had forgot?.. alas, it never recovered and researching has become impossible.. my brain works better with image as opposed to txt but searching google images (for let's say variety's of Sugarcane jeans) it's either images of sugarcane plants or links to retailers of Sugarcane jeans.. nothing of any interest to me.. -

This'll make you laugh @ATWM .. a English friend of mine has been living in Killarney for the last 10yrs, he lives in a converted outbuilding on a remote farm in the middle of their National park and works as a mountain leader, guide ect.. most of the folks he takes out are American tourists visiting Ireland.. one Saturday i called him at 1pm.. the phone rang for ages until he eventually picked up "hellloooo" i said, shit man, you sound like you've just woken up?.. "yep you've just got me out of bed" .. i said, what the hell, it's 1pm and i know you have no social life.. Turns out he had a booking to take an American couple kayaking on one of the lakes.. he asked if they'd done it before and they said "yes when we were a bit slimmer".. they were both 300lbs+ it took him a while to even get them in the kayaks.. 500m out she capsized, her huband tried to help her get back in the kayak and he capsized too so my friend told them both to just float on their lifejackets, he towed both their kayaks to shore.. then swam back out and swam in pulling the women.. then swam out again to rescue the man.. got home exhausted and went straight back to bed -

100% YT is completely unusable .. you can't even have the 'history' turned on.. if you accidentally watch something your YT feed is completely fucked.. for instance, around a year ago, i watched 5mins of an American couple doing a walking tour around Sheffield neighbourhoods, they tried the local delicacies, visited the Peak District and so on.. Then everytime i turned on YT (which was usually to post some music here) there was folks (usually fat, bald and white) walking around Sheffield neighbourhoods.. always the most deprived and poverty stricken, the streets covered in rubish, emphasizing that these used to be proud working class neighbourhoods, but now they're just full of immigrants.. with strong implications that the rubish and deprivation was cultural.. i had to trace my actions back to figure out what i'd done to deserve this xenophobic discourse.. Oh that's right!? i watched some Americans eating fish, chips & peas.. -

Looking to the future.. i think we need 2 internets.. this www. piece of shit which has been completely ruined by algorithms and capitalism and a second internet, entirly free from advertising where we can all chat and share our interests.. funded by fines imposed on big tech under the digital marketings act? -

Re^ 'camwhoreing' .. i once caught a wonderful exchange between two fishermen.. before we moved house, i was sat fishing at the side of the local pond, these two other blokes turned up, one around 30ish one around 50ish.. one had a disposable BBQ under his arm, the other had a 24 pack of Stella, they sat at the opposite side of the pond to me, around 10m apart.. but sound carries amazingly well over water.. The older one said.. "Such and such is doing pretty well for himself nowadays" Younger one.. "it's his missus who earns all the money y'know" "What does she do for a living" ? "She's one o'them camgirls" "A what?" ..explanation followed.. "..and you earn money from this"? "Yep, that's how they bought that caravan at Mablethorpe" "How much was that"? "£10,000" "£10,000!!! .. i'll have to get our old lass doing it" -

I'll check it out.. not much really Edwin, unless i go 'artisan' i've worked my way through the range of 'off the shelf' nut butters.. i need to get TG on the proxy phone! I tried 'ManLife' on maynards recommendation.. the consistancy was way too runny for my liking, might have been a bad batch, there was a lot of surface oil which is usually a good sign but once i'd mixed it in, i scooped some out of the jar on the knife and it ran off the knife onto the chopping board.. just thick liquid, when i was eating it, it was sliding off the bread onto the plate (damn you maynard, insert shakey fist emoji) tasted great tho! I made bacon and maple syrup on a lightly toasted hotcross bun for Easter.. -

Japan had a 2Chan message board.. then 4Chan^ mentioned above (i think the difference was 2Chan was txt based, 4Chan was image).. then a bunch of 4Chan users got banned for discussing the very worst crimes / against 4Chan policy.. so 8Chan was established (hosted i think in the Philippines) so these dregs of society could discuss. -

It's more similar than you give it credit for.. .. from memory, the guy who established 4Chan (moot) used to post on Something Awful.. there was some internet beef over furry culture spreading over numerous threads, he was banned, he set up 4Chan where furries could chat without oppression.. (akin to Denimbro ) other threads popped up loosly based around anime.. and eventually a stickies page. .. all quite harmless.. but because folks posted anon, and nothing was archived folks could say what the hell they wanted so the early days it had a strong libertarian lean.. but with this backdrop it really was the wild west.. a breading groud for hackers, meme culture.. the birth of the modern interwebz. Eventually the forum was split into blue screen SFW or pink screen NSFW which i'm not going to post (sufu also had similar NSFW threads in this era) so as not to deter advertising revenue. .. the /pol thread was only set up to keep politics out of the other threads but it became a breeding ground for the worst of human nature.. it singlehandedly birthed the alt-right.. moot quit after GamerGate, a million terrible, terrible things happened, on the flip a million good things happened which we hear less about, it's like trying to sum up human nature in a paragraph.. i still think the bad far outweighs the good but that doesn't mean the good didn't happen.. but for a casual observer like me.. absolutely fascinating! A bunch of Soyjacks who were banned from 4Chan hacked the forum, exposed the sourcecode and the mods personal deets and logs.. incredible drama!.. i'm not sad that 4Chan is gone.. i'm just sad at what the internet has become and these links to the old web are gradually being erased. -

As an aside.. we booked a place in Santorini this summer, it looks incredible.. there is only something like 1500 people who live on the island, a lot left after the last volcanic eruption.. the place was in Megalochori, the old historic quarter with a view of a church and a belltower.. but as i started to do some research into restaurants and such.. i discovered that during the summer season, an average of 7000 (between 3000 and 10000) instagram cruiseship daytripping wankers flood the island on a daily basis, so you're sharing the narrow streets with these hideous people.. but they have no interest in the culture or exploring the island.. they're just narcissists who're only there to take a selfie of themselves in front of the Santorini skyline .. they leave at 7.30pm as the cruise ships depart.. Point the camera one way and it's an Instagram worthy view.. you've got your best hat on, you're stood in front of whitewashed buildings, blue minarets, sea in the background.. turn the camera the other way and there are 7000 other people jostling for the same photograph.. there are videos of locals pleading with people not to visit their island in July or August.. i couldn't bear to be part of this nonsense so we cancelled it. I see this to a lesser extent in the Peak District, the Instagram & Tik Tok wankers don't want to enjoy a hike through the Peaks, they just want to photograph themselves in front of the beauty spots so at the weekend you will find 100s of cars parked badly on the verges around Mam Tor.. blocking the narrow streets, blocking access for the farm workers to their fields.. they don't give a fuck as long as they get their fake reality photo.. show us the reality you c**ts! the fucking awful reality which you have created. -

I've never posted on 4Chan but it's death has me deeply nostalgic for old internet culture.. those halcyon days before absolutely fucking everything was monotised to the nth degree and google still worked.. as an adult, i've never really watched TV but i have been a.. let's say, casual observer of the internet. I mean, the internet still sucked back then but at least it's suckiness had foundations in reality, it's personalities were real people rather than realities created to generate likes.. heck, i've spent the last week researching what happened to characters like Boxxy and that crazy fuck Shmorky where did these people go? I've been tracking down the birth of meme culture and crimes solved by internet communities.. i suppose for our younger viewers, the internet will have always been part of their lives.. but for my generation.. ZX Spectrum & Sega Megadrive aside.. I'm lucky enough to have spent the first half of my life outdoors without any technology so i was never a bored teenager with the internet at my fingertips.. my only reason for getting the internet in my mid-20s was so i could buy stuff.. Don't worry, the irony isn't lost.. Places like sufu are like internet gold dust nowadays.. a relic which remains largely unchanged (unlike 4Chan, it hasn't taken a crazy swing to the right, not yet anyway) not many places like this left.. So, the stage is set for Double 0s question of the week "The Internet" has it always been part of your life? what were your first memories or experiences.. did you post on Myspace or any other fora before sufu? if yes.. what kinda shit did you post, have you been part of any other groups or communities? any folks who entered their teenage years without the internet and left their teenage years as part of the internet.. -

Yep for sure! .. i did a little WH denim jacket flick book, everyone can look at that progression and say 'that's the perfect stage for me' and rarely is that stage within 6mths of them going in the bin I've always been a '1 pair of jeans at a time' guy, i've never rotated even between summer and winter, i start a pair and wear that pair till they fall to pieces which was usually within 12-18mths.. bin them and then start a new pair.. it's only this last year or so of changing track that i wish i still had piles of nicely worn denim instead of taking every pair through to the bitter end.
