  1. ^^Is that guy still around 'No Boots, No Life' he used to have some nice stuffs..
  2. Some here.. https://www.timeout.com/tokyo/shopping/vintage-tokyo-top-20 and here.. https://www.highsnobiety.com/p/tokyo-best-vintage-store-guide-woolrich/
  3. ^I'd hazard a guess that flash is on his way to Tokyo and fancies a rummage around some vintage shops for nicely worn repro denim.
  4. Find used jeans for sale on Rakuten.. this will point you to the vintage shops where they're stocked.
  5. All three pairs of Buckweat are now sold.. Only thing left is the Brakeman Price is already pretty reasonable, i suppose i can do £1100 / $1350? Special Delivery free of charge in the UK Worldwide i'll split the cost of shipping with you 50/50 and cater to whatever secure shipping method you prefer.
  6. There was a time when i would have contributed towards this discussion (it's a very good subject) but.. i honestly don't care anymore, that ship has sailed, i can't even feign interst..
  7. Me too, i'm a Gildan man.. only in their 'ultra cotton' though.. pfft! i'm not an animal!.. Same.. 6 months of the year i'm in full Woolpower base (i can't afford to keep the heating on at work) i cycle to work in all weathers, my feet get piss wet through, cycle gear off, wet socks off, wring the water out and onto the small oil filled radiator to dry.. the now dry socks from yesterday go on while i stand bare foot on a freezing cold concrete floor.. well, i stand on an old piece of formica so i don't get sawdust on my feet.. socks on.. many, many layers on, jeans on, denim jacket on, down vest and wool hat, it's my hands that suffer rather than my feet, handling cold metal tools. I did have one decent pair of knee high wool wellie socks in the back of the car but i gave them to a homeless dude outside Tesco during the last cold spell.
  8. Ikr!.. if it makes you feel any better (younger) i got home from work last week and the house absolutely stunk of weed .. i opened the windows and lit a scented candle (also from M&S) confused.. it didn't look like anyone was home? i knew my kid was playing football after school.. i looked in the living room and the throw from the chair (which we never move) was scrunched up on the sofa with half a cup of turmeric tea and a large Milka wrapper were on the side table.. more confused, i went upstairs and my mrs was in bed at 5pm.. she was a complete jibbering wreck.. i couldn't get any sense out of her.. When my kid came home at 8pm, she still wasn't up so i made tea for us both then when i got in bed at 10.30 she was sat up reading, still a jibbering wreck but talkative.. she wouldn't f'kin shup up! .. it transpired that her and the nextdoor neighbours daughter and been baking space-brownines.. they'd each tried one.. it didn't do much so the neighbours daughter left and took most of them, later she had another one with a cup of tea.. an hour or so after she was completely fucked and had to go to bed.. The next day i found myself saying.. what the hell, you're a mother of a 13yr old who'll be pushing 50 before too long and you're baking space cakes with teenagers.. some of us are still reaching for that rainbow while shopping at M&S.. "i'm not doing that again" .. she said, she put the rest of the bake in the freezer and gave them to her sister.
  9. I’m not sure I’ve worn them with any kind of frequency.. I’ve got a drawer stuffed full with them so it tends to be the ones at the front which get worn rather than the ones I have to rummage around for. When I was younger and never tied my sneaks properly.. they would slob at the heel and the heel of my sock would wear out according.. now I’m a sensible adult it’s no longer an issue.
  10. Get yourself down to Marks & Sparks.. I’m pretty sure that’s where most of mine come from... the pair I’m wearing today Pikachu socks ( and yesterday too if truth be told ) are only cheap market stall crap from when my kid was into Pokemon so maybe 7yrs ago are still free from holes.
  11. I’ve never bought a pair if socks, certainly none of the lifestyle product types.. I have a drawer full of them, I tend to get a couple of pairs for xmas. they’re not something I ever consider, i pull a pair on in the morning and never give them a second thought so I suppose they’ve succeeded in being socks.. if I could sense I was wearing them/discomfort I would have to reconsider but honestly, they’re just fine. I certainly wouldn’t import them from abroad when they’re available on most high streets, if your socks are constantly getting holes it’s probably down to ill fitting footwear... I wear the same pair of cheap socks for cycling to work.. working on my feet all day in my workshop.. ride home and landscaping the garden till it goes dark, 14hr/day not once do I give them a second thought, I just don’t pamper myself in that regards. controversial maybe but socks are socks.. I can think of better ways of squeezing enjoyment out of £20.
  12. ^at 0.47.. there is a sample from 'Out There' by Friends of Mathew.. ^^One of my friends.. who quite liked Orville on the TV (or so his parents thought) took him to see Keith Harris at Butlin's.. or somewhere.. Keith walked out into the audience with the green duck and he screamed the f'kin place down.. Keith sat next to him to try and persuade him that Orville was friendly as you would with a kid who was scared of dogs but it traumatised him.. he was climbing over the seats to escape, Orville still terrifies him now! Anyway, today's offering
  13. Yep, go for it!.., i'm currently wearing shorts with flowers on and a t-shirt with cats on.. but if double-contrasting-denim drives my ocd wild, that's out of my control.. it might be down to nature.. it might be down to nurture.. i'm accepting zero blame. ..but please! there are 'rules' we've all seen the ugly jeans thread
  14. You haven't seen Edwin's construction work! Blue denim jacket with black jeans sends my ocd wild... hell no!
  15. Referring to the cut cinch, my translate says ‘sadly the beautiful woman is no longer intact’
  16. What's the patch on the wooden board behind?.. you can see more of it at 15.47
  17. I'm too tight to order another skip so im bagging up the soil and taking it to the tip.. the rubble sacks cost £8 for 20 from Wickes as opposed to £260 for a skip.. i filled the car at 8.30am, set off at 8.45 hoping not to queue when it opened at 9.30.. i was probably the 20th car in the queue when i got to Shirecliffe so i was queueing on a residential street.. i lost count of how many dudes i saw, shirt off with a fucking massive snarling pitbull on a chain.. other pedestrians were gingerly walking past and the dogs were going fucking mental.. lunging at passers by.. up on their hind legs while these dudes struggled to hold them back like they were performing some kind of public service.. when in effect the only thing standing between the dog tearing someone to pieces was it's owner.. what the fuck.. why would you?.. most of the other road users who passed me were young dudes tearing up the street on illegal bikes, no helmets but wearing clava's or hoods pulled tight with skiing goggles over the top.. at f'kin 9am on a Sunday morning.. it was like being an npc in Grand Theft Auto! the only exception being i was listening to Bermuda triangle by Barry Manilow on the radio.
  18. This was an enjoyable sunday morning read with a cup of mellow birds https://www.mlb.com/news/featured/baseball-cap-history-and-timeline The link to the 1873 Peck and Snyder catalogue is also worth a butcher's
  19. Wow! the crotch alone cost more than a pair of SC47s
  20. For fuck sake!, can you stop trying to drag me into an argument about pointless crap.. i tapped in for the first time this week just to wish JW all the best and now i'm having to defend every comment.. i don't really care so i'm sure nobody else does.
  21. I doubt it.. but is was the opinion which tended to be published.
  22. Late to the party but well done @julian-wolf .. i'm glad all the hard work has finally paid off.. Was it all just so you can quantum leap back to 1996 and buy up all the best m-series?.. c'mon, you can tell us. Yup.. it's mainly just the opinion of the person who wrote it.. speaking from the British perspective.. i think we rode that wave pretty well for quite some time.
