  5. You don't want to check out UK prices for Sassafras then @julian-wolf !!
  6. The lot 147 is a Lee repro The lot 162 is an At Last take on a Levis 1937 model
  7. Don't know Neal and also asked a friend. Speculating... they could possibly be training kit for the academy or youth teams or maybe the senior team. It seems Yelo are still sponsoring SUFC into 25/26 season.
  8. @chicote both the 147 and the 162 jeans below are w34, both washed at 30C, line dry only. The 162 have seen more action and are softer due to that but would be anyway as the denim is stretchier. The 147 is nipped more at the waist (not sure the pics show it up, but a few others above and previously have said the same, and @smoothsailor's pics above give a hint at this), plus the denim on the 147 waistband is double thickness and is also a consideration. Fine margins, I know, but worth noting. Timeworn direct are helpful for sure as Alec says, but I think other members have reported they have got it slightly wrong on length and shrinkage, so worth erring on the side of caution imo... 147 162
  9. ^^ Ena Sharples... you have a good memory @CSL... I didn't know Ena was in Razzle... I mean, why would I
  10. And Stan said they keep back issues of Escort under the counter... for those who ask in a hushed gruff voice... and that wasn't the car magazine version either 👀
  11. @Lorcan I really like them. I've got an ecru 1935 model and a blue chambray 1942 model. They run quite big conpared to tag (or at least used to) so worth checking measurements. The Big Yank cuff design is a winner on its own. I tried the Anatomica Japan online store - they will ship overseas but wouldn't play with declared value... at least that was the case a few years ago. What have you got your eye on?
  12. @chicote as per comments above, the 147s are slimmer in the hip and so if you're in between sizes then going for the bigger size makes sense. They are not massively stretchy either compared to other jeans - pretty, nicely solid. I have a w34 that fit nicely... I think I could also wear a w36 and they'd be fine too. A cinch and belt combination should fix any issues.
  13. Word of Mouth pre-order opening for 12 pairs only... see IG for deets
  14. @SLAYER has been buying in store recently so should be able to help mate
  15. Seems we need a 'fakes' thread (if we haven't already got one)
  16. Canes M41030V ('37) / Samurai / Buckweat / Wise words
  17. Sheffield's Minister for Tourism needs to support local businesses!!
  18. There are companies up north paying good salaries (law, accountancy, professional services, tech, financial services etc) plus also remote working allows some work place flexibility (northern cost of living, southern rates), but definitely more in the big city.
  19. ^ an easy mistake to make that... after a skinful
  20. I've never veered down that way before... lively... must go mooching again when the temps are lower... I do like the metropolis
  21. It was so hot in London earlier this week I forgot to snap my WoMs as I went sushi hunting down Southwark / Waterloo way... it was buzzing busy in the big smoke...
