  1. I think @MJF9’s experience with Mavis on the checkout till proves otherwise, she seems very clued up on his sartorial and sizing habits. My guess is she works in Asda or Morrison’s as it’s oop north. Also, manufacturers need to be clear whether their products are shrink TO or FROM tag size. They don’t even need to be explicit about these but it can be implied from clear, accurate and consistent measurements across all pairs and models. I think Warehouse is very good at this.
  2. Wow! I simply must stop looking over there… 🫣 I totally agree with what you said about the angle of that w36 before photo by the way, definitely changes the perspective. Having said that, I think you need to buy a w35 just to make sure 😆
  3. @MJF9 what bells & whistles do the size 34 have that the size 36 don’t?
  4. I’ve no idea so here are the other photos of that pair if it helps.
  5. Looks more like a loop (a la CSF) than a row of stitching but is probably enough of a basis for the repros to copy/exaggerate/make a feature of, etc
  6. That back pocket stitch detail could be based upon this pair, dating from 1942-46 (#19, p94 in The 501XX book).
  7. Looks like it was entertaining @srudy The picture above looks like the crowds on the underground en route to the Beyoncé concert!
  8. Maybe just don’t buy them and wear the 200 shirts you probably already own instead? 😆
  9. Playful and Serious. Two sides of the LEGEND. Both in denim. Look at the leg twist in that second shot!
  10. With Sean Penn as his dad!
  11. Is there a number on the back of the top button, just to confirm the production year?
  12. I first visited Sheffield in the late 80s and that’s how it seemed to me back then! 😆
  13. I think he was at school with @CSL 😆
  14. That hat/scarf/t-shirt look lingered on for a few years. I’d see paunchy men with beards wearing that get-up with a thin, semi-translucent white t-shirt (often with a gratuitously deep v-neck) hanging down to mid-thigh, like a minidress and their lower halves stuffed into skintight jeans (in a completely unbalanced manner). They’d usually be in a cafe with a MacBook, nursing a soy latte.
  15. I used to see people wearing that combo with a loose fitting beanie, pushed back, flopping behind their head and would think if it’s so cold that you need a hat and big scarf, why are you only wearing a t-shirt?!
  16. That t-shirt and scarf look was popular with boy bands! Those jeans look like Joe Bloggs.
  17. It’s all silver suits, bubble helmets and hoverboards around my way. 50s/60s retrofuturism is BIG. Think The Jetsons.
  18. Was there ever a patch featuring 2 pairs of jeans pulling a horse apart? Did Roy do something like that?
  19. Nothing makes them worth that much money but the brand name makes them cost that much.
  20. Those Reeboks are the pick of the bunch aesthetically. I’ve never liked adidas Country though.
  21. Quite a day you had there Neal, it was nice and sunny down here yesterday! I did post that track on here years ago, but I think it was the original mix that I have on this album (worth getting if you can still find it):
  22. Lee Archives items are usually found on the Lee Japan website. I’d imagine those storm rider photos from Doc H are from Instagram and not yet on the website. Son of a Stag also have some Archives items if you’re feeling minted!
  23. Many thanks Tilmann, and am I right in thinking that Shins came after Orizzonti?
