  1. The rise on SDA jeans does seem a little short compared to most repro brands. I think the 502 may be 50s inspired but isn’t classic 50s. I wore the 101 in a size 32 some years back and if I remember correctly the front rise was about 11” or so, maybe a little more (that’s after much wearing and washing) - another inch and they’d have been perfect. Those 502s seem to have an even lower front rise. interestingly, I also have a raw pair of (out of production) SD-001 in size 31. These are a 14oz LHT pair rather than the 15oz RHT 101s. They have a higher rise, bigger waist and thigh measurements than another raw pair of 101s I also have in size 32, although both are supposed to be based on the same cut. The 001s seem to be a more authentic 50s cut.
  2. I’m not sure how standard it would be as the position of male tits is a moobable feast
  3. I’m completely with you here @Graytrain, the last jeans that I bought as a current release/production model was back in 2018 (LVC 1976). Since 2011, most pairs I’ve bought were deadstock/out of production pairs or have subsequently become that. I’m not interested in new releases, although I still see pairs I like, but part of that is due to the fact I have too many jeans anyway, so I try hard to resist any new purchases.
  4. I’m more of a collector of wearable jeans 😁 i never buy jeans with an intention purely to collect but when you buy too many pairs, it’s difficult to wear them all, at least in the short to mid-term.
  5. Great adventure @CSL, it was like an episode of Yellowstone! Now if you could only tell us which shirt and jeans the rancher was wearing…?
  6. I prefer the first pair although that thigh pocket on the painters is useful if you can fit a mobile phone in there - and obviously I don’t mean one of those stupid ones that are almost as big as an iPad!
  7. ^ It may actually be more cost effective to turn your heating on
  8. Too many. * = active wear Eternal Type II* TCB 1930s Type I* LVC (MiJ) Type I LVC Triple pleat (for sale, BNWT) TCB Seamen’s jacket (for sale, BNWOT) - this is too similar to my LVC shawl collar jacket in navy twill, which I prefer
  9. He likes TFH and he cannot lie
  10. Do you know which Wrangler model they’re based on or are they just a generic Wrangler repro style?
  11. Once the vest arrives I’ll down a few Babychams, ‘tidy up downstairs’, don aforementioned clobber and get Mrs F clicking away with the saucy Polaroid snaps.
  12. I think it would look great teamed with a pair of Speedos and some stilettos and perhaps a bowler hat at a jaunty angle.
