Nice fit @JDelage but I'm sweating just looking at that jacket. It was 90 degrees here yesterday. I miss my sweatshirts!

Just finished reading the whole thread. Great info and collections!
Here is a much cheaper retro styled zip up hoodie from Bronson Manufacturing that I recently gifted to my son. (A replacement has already been ordered)
Nice heavy French terry, deep ribs, great fit and vintage styling but the construction is much more modern and simple than the other repro brands that cost 3 to 6 times more. Very similar to some RRL I have had and for the price this really can't be beat.

Edit: this should have been in the EVO thread.
Apologies.
Sedgefield "Do nothing" 14oz. 100% cotton denim jeans. Not much info on these around but...In the 1970s Blue Bell/Wrangler revived the old Sedgefield label to market a higher end product that could be sold at retailers that didn't typically carry Wrangler products and to try to take a bigger chunk out of Levi's dominance of the youth market. The tag line "Eat Prunes, dont wear them" was clearly aimed at Levi's tendancy to shrink. Probably used polyester thread to avoid puckered seams. Blue Bell inc. produced jeans under this division from about 1973 to 1984 when it was dissolved after the early 1980's denim boom ended.
This pair used the same heavy 14oz broken twill denim as Wrangler but had a more fashionable fit and branding and would have been sold alongside Levi's and other fashion brands at "fine retailers"
. I love the extra fat belt loops and the unique non 42 Talon zipper. An odd pair for sure. If anyone has any other information please share. Info is scarce.

Another pair of Made in U.S.A. 501s.
Dated 1987-1990, tag says W35 L34 but these measure 32 x 29. Color loss and marbling suggest lots of laundering and no holes, only a few frays, and the 100% intact crotch seem to back that up. Very clean pair.
Amazing traintracks.
Registered trademark.
You can just make out the tiny red xx after 501 that dates these to after 1987.

Something a little different today.
Recently picked up some Levis 501s with pink weft that reminded me of my of my old Julian Red jeans.
If you're not familiar Julian Red was one of the Swedish denim labels first pushing the skinny slouchy look way back in 2005. This pair was called the Hoboken Nikki Sixx. Indigo warp and yarn dyed pink weft. They were very subtly distressed and over time gave some of the most unique fades I've ever seen.
This pair was worn pretty heavily for a few years before they no longer fit.
I included a picture of an unworn pair below for comparison.
Also included a picture of my daughter wearing my old pair and finally, one of myself struggling to breathe after buttoning them up for the first time in 10 years!
Last shot is of my new 501s shrunk to dry.

The jeans were labeled black / neon pink but in reality they have an inky indigo warp with pink weft. Reminds me of my old Julian Red Nikki Sixx jeans. Gave them a long hot soak before worn to dry.
Added some pre and post soak pics. Lost at least 2 inches in length and the top block tightened up quite a bit.

As promised, took a few pairs of old Lee Riders out of storage.
First up, some straight leg riders that actually fit me. Tagged 33 x 30 but have lost a few inches in length. Made in USA. After doing a little research these seem to be mid seventies to early eighties. Took a few shots under different lighting this time.

"Got made in Japan for StyleForum"
A selvedge sunday throw back to 2007 when StyleForum teamed up with The Godmother at 5EP to make these amazing jeans.
A few years of wear on and off since then, but weight fluctuation and a rise that was just a bit too low prevented these from getting worn into the ground.
Limited to 200 pairs, the SF X 5EP was a mid low rise slim straight cut from the most beautiful hand dipped Japanese 50/50 natural and synthetic indigo selvedge denim I've ever seen, with hidden rivets, custom brass hardware, hidden back pocket design, two color thread felled inseams (a personal favorite) , non Levis inspired details (like the Wrangler-esq coin pocket) topped with a beautiful white leather patch with 5EP's signature loose red threads and a subtle maroon selvage id.
Still my most favorite denim ever. Even messing with my camera settings I can't capture all the colors. Last shot is direct sun with no filter.
I do wish the rise was higher but in 2007 these were considered normal. They desperately need a wash but I'm hoping a day in the sun will put that off for a few more weeks.

More chilly drizzle today after a high of 85° yesterday.
Perfect opportunity to wear my new sweatshirt.
Bronson Heavyweight zip hoodie. Love this. Nice heavy french terry, vintage details like anIdeal zipper & long cuffs, unique pockets, solid construction and the price is too good to pass up. This will be my new daily.
Vintage Marc Jacobs clown tee
Same old belt.
Old Gap non stretch selvage Feels like 14oz Cone Mills. Digging the straighter leg on these.
Rag and Bone Indy clones.

No midwest amatuer sports team can be complete without a local dive bar to sponsor the post game beers. The pub is still there but the Rugby team has gone Pro.
Perfectly 70s graphic
Love the faded collar. The shirt has shrunk over the last 40 years to fit like a modern small.
Totally thrashed Flyers.
Sneak peak at the unique fading potential of these 501s. Crunchy and fuzzy. I love the bright blue poking thru the pink.
