At least @Sharkwas clever with his insults and kept it to the fits instead of taking pot shots at my physical appearance. That's bush league. Also probably projection but that's above my pay grade.

I thought I could sarcastically respond to the specific member who commented to me but I guess the one man peanut gallery who needed to play daddy had other ideas. 

I gave @goodrain negative rep for trying to play tone police by interjecting and for telling another "grown ass man" to "just chill" when no one asked. Literally no one was talking to you.

@Dr_Heech  I had heard that the black labels were introduced in 70 but my understanding is that the broken twill was a tad earlier.

Just recieved this fantastic vintage Wrangler jacket from a friend for Christmas. 

Hard to pin down a date because the tags are either destroyed or worn free of any info but everything I find indicates late 60s to early 70s? No Blue Bell label. 

Can anyone date Wrangler?  

Broken twill,  beautiful indigo color, perfectly yellowed collars and cuffs,  nice subtle fade with honeycombs and Atari with selvedge edges on inside of jacket. 

Vintage "Casual Wear" short sleeve sweat. 

Just a hair too small on me unfortunately.  Nice heathered dark pink / faded red color, and the inside texture is far more interesting.

A vintage reseller I follow posted this on Instagram.  I immediately expressed my interest and called dibs and I was prepared to pay far too much but despite following their Instagram and website religiously for the next 5 days this somehow escaped my grasp. 

( I have a feeling a friend of the seller contacted them directly)

1970s bootleg  "Super Mann" Velva Sheen raglan sweatshirt. 

Saw this at the antique mall last week but foolishly passed it up since I don't really do red. Went back a few days to snag it. $20 well spent. 

Super soft and stretchy 92% cotton 8% acrylic, seamless tube construction, started life as XL but has shrink down to a pretty trim medium. Super thick screen print. 

Best guess is this was a bootleg made to capitalize on the success of Richard Donner's Superman:The Movie back in 1978. 

Did a janky home repair on these USA 501xx with a scrap from some old Levi's 517s. 

The hole was getting worse and it was ugly. 

I just saw Steven Spielberg's West Side Story last night.

A staggering achievement in sound,  cinematography,  staging, art direction, and costume design. 

Its also a denim lover's dream. So much vintage! 

But this piece on the left in particular jumped off the screen.
