I know this is mostly a denim thread but I have a soft spot for LVC sweatshirts and Tees. The cuts fit my short stocky ass better and they can usually be picked up at a hefty end of season discount.
I know they aren't as hardcore faithful as some of the loopwheeled Japanese repro brands but I love the freedom sleeves and very wearable fabric weight on the crewnecks. And the design of the 1950s hoodie is like nothing else out there. I also have one in black with some of the nicest heaviest French terry ever.

More designers need to make undyed leather for great evos
these are esquivel shoes for around $500+ which is a bit on the crazy side…but they're so nice
I'd pay $100-150
i know im late but these are gorgeous.

Quick fit photo of my Raw tweeds. More photos to come. Awesome Denim.
great fit on th ejeans and nice shirt too.
My Tweeds....I like how they are coming along. The color is best represented by the lap picture. The tweed yarns are really popping out.
These have enjoyed a room temp soak and a room temp hand wash with bronners at 4 months. They are currently riding on 5 months.
some of the coolest jeans ever.
maybe they will make more?
edit: just noticed they released another run of these while i slept. fuck.

^^nice job. you should continiue to get some shrinkage out of those too fyi.
i really hope you didnt size up too much on those because your shrinkage will be very minimal if any. 505s are sanforized or pre shrunk and not shrink to fits.
nice jeans still but they will not shrink much.

Today I saw an industry expert who told me a little more about what's happening with LVC.
Whatever else happens, I'm looking forward to lots of new intriguing items.
didnt want to quote the whole thing again but great news!
Am I reading into Paul's post that LVC might do some (purposely) non-authentic selvedge jeans. I'd love to be able to buy some Japanese style combinations of vintage elements. For instance a 66 style jean with hidden rivets on the back pockets and decent arcs (I hate 66 arcs but like the cut). I love the vintage repro's and wouldn't want them to go away but I'd really like to see them also treat selvedge jeans like a living, evolving, thing for modern bodies without getting as far out as the Levi Red engineered stuff.you just described my ideal pair of levis. 66 cut (button fly of course ) hidden rivets, proper arcs. heres hoping.

i agree. pound for pound ande makes some of the best stuff on the planet with his own hands.
even at the higher price you are getting your monies worth and supporting a true artist and gentleman to boot.

Cultizm contest has started! So it's time to post some fit pics of my 1947 555 Valencia!
Before the pics here are the measurements for those interested!
Tag size is 30x38 (I'm 5'8'')
Pre-soak:
Waist: 29.25''
Leg opening: 8.25''
Inseam: 37"
Knee: 8.75''
Rise: 11"
Back rise: 15.5"
Post-soak (one hour'ish hottest tub water, hanged then worn till dry when still damp but not dripping):
Waist: 28''
Leg opening: 8''
Inseam: 34"
Knee: 8.5''
Rise: 10"
Back rise: 13.5"
Fit Pics Post-soak:
Love the fit of these jeans, a little diaper butt IRL but that's fine.
Quite a different fit and roomier feel than my other jeans in rotation now (PBJ 007 w28, Dukes w29[could have done 28] both skin tight at first but 1" looser everywhere now), as the 47' i can pinch around 1'' anywhere post soak.
At first I thought ordering 38" would be too long and need a hem but I guess it turned out great.
Now all i need is a pair of boots to match them (maybe a belt too!).
Comments?
P.S.
And if anyones interested in the pre-soak fit picks, its at the very bottom of page 588 or here: http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?p=2040056#post2040056
perfect iconic fit you have there. THE jean if you will.
Following all the fuss about 201's last week, I thought that a look at my brothers 201'a might be of interest. I bought them for him in December 07 and I can assure you they're genuine ... at least that's unless Libertys in London's been selling fakes. They're a size 32 32. Not sure how many times he's washed them... not manyperfect vintage fade!
and PAUL. finally checked out your iggy book. fantastic. man after my own heart you are. i remember when i first joined up and you schooled me on a pair of the now famous thai fake 501s.
oh and just a hint about flasher cards, if they are advertising something that isnt even present (hidden rivets for example) its probably a good indication there is something up!

so tell me why you had to quote all the pictures again and then add some pointless oneliners??
at least my post has nice denim to look at, as opposed to just pointless observations.

Recent vintage Levi's 501s.
Tag reads 33 x 30 but they measure 34 x 28. Made in USA. 522 button.
Red tab cut off or worn down, crotch completely blown out, denim washed down and broken with bright blue indigo and a yellowish cast. And maybe the best fitting pair of 501s I have ever owned.
Bought these already trashed many years back at Salvo but only recently fit into them.
