  1. 15/16 yr old redwing Beckman 9012. could be the most expensive pair of redwings. bought them from the us. Shipping and vat. worn them for a few yrs, than send them of to Tokyo, brass, to get them resoled. Shipping two way, tax, and the resole. Can’t find pictures of the resole. On paper I wanted it in real life it wasn’t the best choice. Double leather sole, half vibrant sole. Still worn them for a few more yrs. Than had them locally resoled to how they are now, ad another 100 euro. i wear them mostly now in my workshop and when there is snow, like today

  3. Had a similar situation, I booked a campsite for two nights I thought. My boy and I on our annual biketrip. came back from a day out, there was a big ass tent squeezed on “our” spot. i was like I don’t care , but the big ass tent family were waving their booking. so when they didn’t pay attention I checked my reservation. Turns out I made a wrong booking. put the tail between my legs and moved our tent. me and my boy swapped clothes , to try and confuse Mrs smooth sailor. his oversized clothing fit me fine. my clothes fit him better than on me. next generation their turn
  4. Did a whole lot of framebuilding in my jeans, LVC 1901 made another cargobike and converted rimbrake frames to disc
  5. ^morning Neal, all but the machine. im sure there are already “artist” using ai to make designs. lets get a tattoo to be different, but not to different. Its allready like that. i understand you want to belong to a tribe. But the tribe is getting big
  6. Recently I listened to a political economic podcast. They where going on about “winner takes all” big companies take everything. They don’t leave any crumbs for the small businesses. Never thought about it, but it seems the case in a lot of fields. even in my relatively small businesses of tattooing. seems like a business model is to take on a lot of employees and get cash from all of them. While all of them struggle

  17. Agreed, I have the same pair. And the not so smooth pair, both in 36. The smooth one could have been a 34. but I might have lost the wide fit of it
  18. Dunnoabout you but I wouldn't want to do 41,000 miles in a small car with a 997cc engine. why not? The max speed is the same for every car. Let the bigger engine car wait a bit when you take over a truck. and it’s cheaper
  19. I just drove in a borrowed car to Dresden for a bike show. my old Volvo died and live further without a car for myself. with two friends we going to buy one small car to share. it amazes me that the world keeps on pushing towards cars.
