    Denim books

The DHL gods were good to me this week. Apple’s built in translation app has been actually pretty good with converting War Denim into English.
  2. Warehouse, Buzz, Warehouse, New Balance.
  3. Freewheeler 38" 1947 brand new with tags. $230 shipped CONUS. Waist: 95cm/36.40" Rise: 37.5cm/14.7" Thigh: 38cm/14.96" Leg opening: 24.5cm/9.44" Inseam: 86cm/33.85"
  4. Yeah I put them up on eBay cause they’re some of the least flattering jeans I’ve ever owned ha.
  5. My buyer mentality has screwed me once again. Probably too big for most people here but: Freewheeler 38" 1947 brand new with tags. $250. Cheaper than Japanese MSRP. Shipping is on me. Waist: 95cm/36.40" Rise: 37.5cm/14.7" Thigh: 38cm/14.96" Leg opening: 24.5cm/9.44" Inseam: 86cm/33.85"
  6. Thank you! Might just risk it and use the dryer. This denim is great.....
  7. Edit: ignore found my answer. First time owning FW. I had to order a 38" '47 one wash cause I'm a wide boy. Though there is way more hip hang than I'd like - like FC 0105 hip hang. How much can I expect these to tighten up in the top block with another wash/regular washing? The One wash already looks pretty damn thorough. Don't wanna invest time/waste money on them if they're never destined to get more fitted.
  8. Yep, PM me your address and I'll get you a quote.
  9. One final effort before I just sit on them for years to come: Full Count WWII Tux. Have verified these measurements myself. Jacket (threads removed, worn once) Size/Chest/Shoulder/Length/Hem/Sleeve 42(XL)/62cm/53cm/63cm/56cm/61cm $200 shipped CONUS or £160 paid now but brought back to England in April.
  10. Shameless plug. Selling off a Full Count WWII Tux, Warehouse 2002XX, Warehouse Lot 2202, Cushman Sweats.... Not real pricing on there. Lmk if anything is of interest. My mum can take any of this back to the UK with her in April. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=jabr_2774&_oac=1
  11. Took them from, but didn't want to dox the listing that much 😉
  12. Seller said: 'New and unworn pair of Full Count jeans bought direct from their shop in Tokyo. Sized as Waist 32 Leg 34 Ankle opening is a touch under 9 inches'
  13. Ok that’s not too bad then - thanks. Guess I’ll just be out of a ¥1000 proxy handling fee.
  14. Open ended question but how much are people paying for jeans from Hoosier after shipping to the U.S? I didn't realize it was an Instagram DM kinda thing and just went off the website, so ended up buying some 47 one washes from a proxy. Too late to do anything now but hoping I didn't get shafted...
  15. when jeans were more important than having a bed lol

Ha! Literally in my cart also because of @PrettyBoyTony post.
  17. Thanks pal. I did. They’re both a 38”. I easily could’ve done a 36” waist size but my thighs would’ve said no… I also wanted to have the flexibility of beating them up a bit in a washer/dryer as I’ve not really done that before. I feared that a 36” would’ve shrunk too much. Rear rise feels significantly higher on the 0105. I got my WWII 0105 in a 36” and they’re a good fit too, but I think I prefer the extra rise I get from a 38”.
  18. Torrential downpours, debris flows and mud slides today in Sierra Madre, so not going anywhere - as per usual in the week! Warehouse, Warehouse, new FC 1101SSWs and some new NB 574. @Thicolas Rage - these are the trainers I mentioned in the other thread when you asked about trainers with jeans. I think they look great. Not MiUSA like my 993s but these look better with jeans IMO.
  19. I dunno, given how fragile a crepe sole is, you wouldn't catch me dead spending $760 on a pair of boots equipped with one, as lovely as those look....
  20. WFH and wear the same thing every day... Warehouse, Warehouse, FC, Aurora Shoe Co.

And for reference here is a photo earlier today of my 2002 fit wise. Noticeably slimmer all over but particularly in the shoulder.

Not that it’s a competition but my one wash DD-2001 just came in and it’s yet further proof as to why I love Banner so much. Type 1s suits my build far better than Type 2s - particularly my paper tag 2002 and Banner is also way comfier right off the bat. I can also actually button this up fully, comfortably. It’s a 44, 2002 is a 42, the largest size that was available. DD-2001 pocket on the left. 2002 pocket on the right. Very stoked.
  23. Na, not many of them. Before I got into ultralight backpacking, I had one and it was very much MiVietnam. Was still a great pack though if you wanted something bomber. Their firefighting packs still may be though.
  24. Initial impressions are good. They’re perhaps a bit agricultural - QC wise - compared to other $200+ pairs of shoes I own but I guess that’s part of the handmade vibe. They’re already softening up nicely after a couple of hours of wear. I took true to my bannock size (10.5E) and it feels just right. They’re a 10.5D but in reality as they have a natural foot shape, the D is plenty wide. They have zero arch support. Insole is totally flat as a pancake. They smell wonderful. I expect them to last for a very long time and for them to be exceedingly comfy after they’ve molded to my feet. Some photos below. If you had genuinely narrow feet, the C width would probably work better.

Anyone with a smaller waist: https://zenmarket.jp/en/mercariproduct.aspx?itemCode=m46350456303 These 1939 Montgomery Ward's are what started my love affair with Warehouse. Loved the back arcuates of these so much:
