Would anyone care to elaborate on why the Warehouse is superior to RMC?

I don't own any Warehouse denim so have never seen it close up.

My experience was that RMC product looked really clean and fit me well initially but lacked character and fell apart. @Double 0 Soul replying as I type this, said more than I could offer! My lot 004 and 003 needed repairs within one month

Warehouse products have a ton of character and they get most of the details I look for right.. I have yet to have a bad experience with Warehouse but 90% of what I own from them is denim

Did you make them yourself or take them off another pair? Also, are there 5 loops?

5 loops off another pair. They fit better than ever now

Did you add the belt loops yourself or have l missed something? (.. as usual :laugh2:).

Haha! That is precisely what I was getting at

I couldn't convince myself to commit to a pair that couldn't wear a nice belt with. Admittedly not a huge fan of wearing suspenders either

Puckering is also pretty depending on the fabric/construction

The weight and the weave, the model. Look at the evolution of pocket construction on the 501... denim in combination with how it's sewn up will yield different results

I believe the lot 004 is unsanforized. I remember reaching out to RMC directly years ago and am almost positive it's been asked here more than once too. My experience with the denim is that it initially didn't shrink that much but noticeably continued to with each wash. It's very soft and smooth, beautiful green color when washed more

I'm not one for annual resolutions but the overall goal now is to wear what I have... I have enough and need to make better use of it all

The challenge is there's an almost continuous stream of good stuff to be found and I like buying new stuff!!

This sums my mindset up going into the new year pretty well

I did however have to stop paying attention to the Warehouse catalog ... I have so many pairs of Warehouse I might actually need one to store them all

hoping to stick to the few pairs I've got in rotation now and update sufu with higher quality photos 2023

  6. Thanks gents!

For the amount of hot work and labor I did in this thing the first couple months it's faired quite well. Doesn't appear to be wearing thin anywhere. Here is the only notable damage so far, minus the button replacement :)

  7. It's not only a lot of work but it's kind of unrealistic in practice, depending on the leather.. and unless you're in an office setting and want to walk like a penguin

I think it's more distracting when a freshly polished shoe gets a ding than a regularly brushed or conditioned shoe looks at the end of a long week
