enjoying some super fuzz origins...
and tickled by this beach boy dick dale cover...
and if staying meta to the threads; more czar face; check this at 2.10 for a worthy wrestler trash talk sample... 'stand in my face n call me a liar ... slap your face real good in the general public ... oh I get so sick down inside it makes me wanna puke just thinking about how bad I wanna slap your face...'

Excuse the lighting again (been trying to find alternative locations for fit pics but not having much luck)...but I'm happy with the fit! Paired here with my FW S506XX.
With the shorter inseam I can wear them uncuffed or with a small one.
Not much to report so far, I'll report back after I've worn them for a few more days.
looking good: so, you're organising the 2023 contest then? or a tour at least... [nudge-wink.emoji]

agreeing; their cork nitrile is great; hardwearing, light, decent grip on concrete; blows dainite out of the water in terms of 'leather-like' sole imo

^ no probs, no stealth trolling thoughts, rather observing how your unvarnished observations and questions have had, and I hope continue to have, powerful catalytic properties!
now; c'mon people, where are those (Just Another Manic) Monday fits?

and so, yes... been watching this a while...
3 hours ago, Geeman said:you have a well honed ability to poke a bubble / thin skin [just checking on mentions of ol 'shanks in sufu I re-find your most welcome interrogations on 'influencing' in 2020, and your martial arts questioning on a shoe poster is well noted]; it just seems it went a little sideways this time, but still somehow your letter found its addressee...
as to @JMS - a nietzschean aphorism [from the appropriately named Gay Science] I have put in play elsewhere and is appropriate here: 'better a wholehearted feud / than a friendship that is glued'; better for peeps to shoot the shit with a little force than be forced to give lieks, it seems evermore to give good entertainment with google/zuckerberg/Facebook and more def seem to profit from both logics [likes economies/echo chambers and conflictual conspiratorial unendingness]
as to thrifting: I believe it is my own lack of time and imagination that my posts are not fully thrifted items... go all you thrifters! it is that vein from which the ametora/vintage/repro and more flows...
and yes @goodrain - as the originator and convenor of the thread a little patience, largesse, and modelling some basic adult behaviour [even if it is on the internet] would be well met...
and so yes, I will go fuck myself in advance with a well inserted rage comment etc...
I would post an inspiration pic of a giga-chad, but can't quite manage the effort, my manlet-ism is confirmed...

Yeah, I’m pretty introverted and aspie so find meeting new people awkward anyway. In the past had just met people as part of social life.
she is a lucky cat. They were going to put her to sleep as she had too many issues, but I was like nah I can deal with them. She has anxiety, allergic to red meat and a dodgy hip. She’s now 18, goes to the vet for arthritis meds every month and on thyroid meds. She also has great taste in music.
tomatoes and spinach from me garden
I get it, sorry if I seemed patronising! sending a virtual hug/high five your way... meeting people to share things with is not the easiest; let alone people who care or have the time of day... sending positive thoughts your way
fwiw I really worry for the current generation, with easy fix of getir/just eat/tinder/grindr for hookups but still having to make relationship CVs for long term compassion/empathy... if Debord declaimed being 'together, alone' for the cinema generation, we in the interwebz are somewhere a little more attenuated - I keep meaning to read Eva Illouz around 'cold intimacy' on something like this topic...and yes what a great cat & top tomatoes; I need to get on my kale growing this year; just weeds in my patches at the moment, only time attempted tomatoes they died just before getting into full speed... [and yes, full props to the baking discussion earlier; I am a terrible baker, but appreciate the sourdough knowledge!]

I’m curious whether you all who own multiple pairs of engineers can share some of your experience here. I’ve tried two different pairs of engineer boots, Lofgrens and Lone Wolfs, both of which were pretty close to fitting lengthwise but were pretty much impossible to walk in because of the height of the vamp relative to my pretty low instep. I’m still interested in looking for a pair that will fit me better but am not sure which direction to go in. Something with a slightly tapered toe box, ie. Attractions, seems like it might be a safer bet, although I don’t love that look personally, but if there are any other brands you all can recommend I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
sorry so late in reply...
only two engineers in this house to comment on [attractions / redwing]; attractions still have pretty big vamp even with smaller toe / tight ankle etc ... fitwise the redwing 2268 definitely have more grip in the vamp area, but bulbous toes [measured both, seem to have same vamp]... there are 80s/90s rw vintage teacore versions out there if you need them?
from my uneducated understanding lofgrens do seem pretty wide throughout? get in contact with bakers etc around custom fitting of a wesco or whites nomad? ol shanks / road champs and all those 40s fits have mini toes but retain pretty shapely vamps...
good luck with the search...

dating is not always so bad; the sweet spot is to find people you have things in common with, then suddenly a meeting together might become a date without realising it...
[lucky cat btw...]

I was of the same mind until recently: they seemed basic at the beginning but for me are now just into more complexity once they got softer; where not pleasant to wear in the warmer weather when stiff for sure! really took a while to get into the slimmer leg than the 50s/20s so have not worn them as much as I could: but they are just relaxing into the shape I want them now...
big shout out to @volvo240thebest for organising all this and so sorry to hear life is not treating you well; hoping the year of the tiger gives you more love!
as to the blog nature of the 20s comp vs this one; the pandemic has meant that all there was to photo was various corners of the flat or my local park's ping pong table... suffice to say that only goes so far!
respect to all the fades out there; I still have a way to take these; so not really showing fades here, just happiness with the high rise str8 leg drape...
