or rules against too much bending, sitting, kneeling?
certain lifestyles or washing substances excluded?
I understand the angst but...
'natural' is a very cultural word...

I thought that suspenders would make me look fatter. Surprised that in fact they make me look leaner and taller, as well as even more ridicolous than my usual standards
and if wanting to hide them remember what yr foreman vest is for...
many options

[first day ever wearing a pair of suspenders, it's ridicolously comfortable!]

I wouldn't wear a bowtie with a suit but the colors of the third one would probably complement a navy suit better than the rest.
and personally I would agree
why wear a bowtie as a nod towards denim
when there are such precedents of the total denim suit to redefine the canadian tuxedo
(I believe blue silk is the tie)
ensembles by prada or by oshkosh items c.20s and 30s
I am sure you can guess which is which

Nothing denim related, but I hope to find some Input from you guys. I already got my (navy) wedding suit, will pair it with my oxblood trickers and navy/oxblood suspenders. I have a formal bowtie in red, but need another one for the second Party which can be a bit less formal. I'd apreciate a nod towards my denim or flannel Obsession, so I was looking at a few hill-side bowties. Which one would you think worked best?
The suit (ignore the model please).
Not really helping with choice but...
On the subject of bowties, this essay is essential reading... (text crop pasted in, hopefully text uploaded too)
their origin is as a good luck charm against decapitation by the kings servants / soldier, to become later the aggressive connotation of the maestro...

Thanks for the link: for 20s fits that is another score!
very nifty fit indeed
I am thinking that is a rinsed pair in the pix, but any thinking it is raw?
do any from the world tour have any comment as to how their fits compared to said pix?
the fit looks pretty spacious on the model posing in the nifty-fits?
To add content alongside requests I post 50s once more
this time with more trad boots n double cuffings
as spring reveals some sun whilst offering much downpour
apologies for repetition and thread stuffing

@chicote vokuhila it's definitely a power to be reckoned with now, after sufu's past mullet leader Maximo @oomskolop eloquent words.

equally with luv for volvo the most welcoming
is much luv for oom and chicote
they bring light to lives and meanings beyond the denim realm
chicote's sda intervention is well remembered well beyond his locks

And yes if you plan to wear the jeans with suspenders 90% of the time size up is definitely a good idea.
I think I'll stick with 36 though as Im not sure I'll embrace the suspenders look for everyday.
So will you join the 20s contest?
Ill soon open the thread, should meet a graphic designer buddy of mine next week to see a few patch designs...
I am dilemma-ed
the 20s call as the summer jean du jour
not an autumn-winter-starter
[with a warmer thicker silhouette comes out the tenders]
but I want all to contriboot to contest too
I look fwd to the thread v much
and thusly post in its encouragement
[and suspenders, why not, my thickened middle cries 'freedom!']

and yes yes yes
hence the call to size UP in order to go livin' large
as a size 36 in 50s the thought is to go 38 in 20s to counter-act nipped waist and suspender buttons and to get full cinch action
[as I belive discussed by other users-wearers]

ah thanks for props n clarification
I had been looking at the pix and not paying close attention to the numbers [wiping tears]
and following the thorough nycsurfing comparison between 50s and 20s [prototype] where everything was a wee bit bigger
[which reminds me, where are you jared?]
if trigger pulling I will be sizing UP

greeting gentlepeople
not so much in defiance of max
more in honour of fried-san (who, in my lurking I have never seen post a picture amidst his verbiage which has thus compelled my homage)
my feet
my cuff
my tender 132d in ecru canvas paired with veldtschoen cheaney boot and belgian army surplus waiting for the train
plus a contextual pic seen on way to train station with some general relevance

134 trews don't seem to get much love
they should
lovely clean design
the barge-blue cotton duck is both super solid/rigid and yet with a plush soft hand
a combination of 'baggy trouser' with solid sculptural feel
about 2 years in, gaining some fades and crinkles
they are stubborn but feel like they will literally last you a lifetime

Hello all
Sharing....
Some shots of a pair of plain ol' rinsed denim 130
had 'bout 3 years, but worn in rotation with many other things.
a fit pic
some details (outside light and inside natural light)
the denim gets better and better and better
and the fit of top block is great
and construction is suuuuper

certainly rules awaited
but creativity encouraged in all things
I like foxy's evocation of transparency
and thusly post a transparent trouser picture in support
