  1. got hands on the free land 1920s chore: raw deetz (pretty starchy tough for a lighterweight denim) then fit (post 40c short wash n line dry)
  2. seiko arnie 80s ana-digi style/practicality for those who arent ready for the casio g-shock experience… had about 3 months: very wearable, has me looking longingly at grandfather and darth tunas…
  3. have a shirt of theirs: confirmed it’s a good un… not a purest repro but not too much of a mashup neither… (white buttons (50s?) on a 40s chambray big yank pocket design)
  4. definitely soft denim: for us slackers this makes it comfy: @julian-wolf your hard wearing regime is pretty impressive! (as is yr flower roster!)
  5. nice page thus far peeps: many styles representing: love it my slobbing bucket or fuggit (to cite ol’ rivethead) fit tcb-wom-rw plus tcb pocket / seam deet as it progresses
  6. and post 4th wash numbers in cm for a 611 in size 40 (hemmed to post-wash 80cm): machine washed 40c, spun 1400, line dry) w 90 dried/stretched to 94 in an hour of wearing (pretty mobile: needless info: i wear em cinched at around 91, not needed braces yet) fr 30.5 br 44.5 thigh 35 l 77 lo 24 more crinkly dried deets plus low light bonus shot
  7. another wash wet fragments on line wet indigo in the wild… no dryer used here but the crinkles creep in regardless (will share measurements when dry to give relative numbers re: shrinkage post 4th wash at 40…)
  8. plus action shot for speed drape jollies: been trying it with type 1s or surplus army: seems to be friendliest with the good ol chore…
  9. no big update minimal whiskers maximal twist itsa confirmed marblerrr
  10. congratulations @UkeNo! dad fades always good fades: get ready to keep on washing!
  11. lol: it def gets to the grit of it… a less visceral read: haven’t read the whole thing: but they’ve done good writing on shift from hacker to troll …another one: more dismissive but gives a good tumblr vs chan angle
  12. good reporting: can confirm /pol/ changed the board a lot from my time there in 2012 or so… the place is an example that free speech absolutism allows all kinds of shit ppl license to say all kind of shit: but dont know anywhere else with an equivalent my little pony board (see /mlp/) dont worry its back online now… this is a good essay on the use of language there at a certain historical moment: interesting for understanding the hope of truly anonymous speech, but the reality of what that then attracts…

  14. ebayed department of agriculture forestry filson / wom 611 / rw / neighbour’s dog (apparently stoned from eating weird poo in the park-yukk) plus: not a forest but fruit tree blossoming both on main tree and from wee offcuts used to mark out me asian greens…
  15. thanks @srudy, @ashgiovanni, @MJF9, @beautiful_FrEaK, @ATWM, @vIGGiou riou and @Dr_Heech: really appreciate it… @ATWM: you’re correct: these were slides from various panels: one of digital art practices (crazy slide of surveillance cameras in prc classroom…), another on non-human migration meets human structures (talks on seeds retrieved from old ballast, another on animal movements and us-mexico walk) and another on ‘the misunderstood artist’ (and the imperative of artist to explain themselves)… my paper is around some 2017/18 projects by three african american artists who worked with chatbots: in wider context of how to think around AI and limited / specific data sets to avoid perpetuating techno-bro white supremacy (see musk’s x-ing great replacement conspiracy) and to think AI in other realm than great replacement… talked most about martine syms’ piece ‘mythiccbeing’… but stephanie dinkins ‘ntoo’ and american artist’s ‘sandy speaks’ get mention too
  16. tcb / word of mouth 611 / r-mocs elbows up…
  17. and last post among the splurges: whilst in doom scrolling mode in the midst of the trump-vance performances, saw that vance was profiled as reading neo-reactionary writer curtis yarvin: thought to share an earlyish text on those anti-democratic techno-bro-monarchists for spring time optimism…
  18. and sorry for slow reply: they are w.40, 80cm inseam, i am 6’2” and try not to weigh myself in public: but rest assured pigeo chest, skinny wrists and beer gut are part of the package…
  19. thanks @Maynard Friedman life isn’t forever but endings are difficult/ raise questions and challenges: we had fairly existential differences, how to keep the good and let go of the rest… those that go before us leave us all kinds of gifts… in the vein of @julian-wolf’s gardening: compared to his orderly plantings i am wrangling some wilderness at the back: hacking away as self seeded sycamores that have grown into fencing… ‘oh inch of life’…
  20. and some shots from early april: up in york for annual art historian conference (gave my paper in 1890s tcb tux, sorry compers…): some slides of other papers with a medley from sunny scarborough where we were staying… its nice up north… (note slide on fluxus artist who worked from okayama…) jean deets with f-all fades and barely any creasing: gonna take a while…
  21. a more fluffy post of the jeans from a little while ago: hairy inside and out…
  22. hello all: sorry for lack of posts: my mother died unexpectedly the day these jeans arrived… quite the negative co-incidence… lots of plane alarms set off by jeans in travelling to la belle france where she lived: some dramatic skies from the area lemanique to mark it…
  23. and to qualify this: i am no expert in ooe / warehouse but to me (who most rotates around lvc / tender / tcb): they have the nice weight of lvc, but the more generous cut of tender (but with a better rise…), with the nice ‘hand’ and accurate wonky stitching of tcb (but again the pattern sits in a balanced sweet spot the tcb s40s and the 20s didnt quite achieve as splendid as they are): it all might just be size up euphoria…
  24. early days: but currently consider these to actually be pretty perfect as a pair… nice work Simone! subtle but extremely wearable: goes with a range of styles doesn’t scream but has nice balance (in terms of pattern and fabric weight): suits both casual and more public situations… am enjoying (imagine it will be good across seasons too…)
