I picked up a secondhand TCB ranchman shirt and I think the cut is too slim for me even if went up a size. Does anyone have recommendations for denim shirts with a more fuller/relaxed fit? Thanks!

Did anyone get their hands on the Black s40's jacket? They sold out in less than a day, but according to IG, Inoue said they have some more fabric on the way...very tempted to pull the trigger when it becomes available again.

@tooth Very insightful, thank you!! Echoing what others have said, I love TCB's factory hems too. I've had jeans hemmed at Mildblend in Chicago several times and the results haven't been great. I've also had Rain from Indigo Proof hem a couple of pairs for me and she does solid work, especially with color matching the thread, but they're still not as tight as what I've seen with TCB and now FC.

The factory hem has such beautiful roping already, I wanted to see if I can get by without hemming additional length, but alas, I think I would need to get them hemmed if I stick with the 32. Why aren't all union special hems created equal?

I've been wearing my 0105ss' (size 33 purchased from Bears) for the past couple of weeks and the waist has stretched out quite a lot. I was curious to see how a 32 would fit me and since Bears was sold out, I purchased a size 32 from Rodeo Bros. I figured I'd just sell whatever pair I didn't end up choosing. When I first got my 33's from Bears, I noticed the leather patch was hard as a rock, truly super stiff, and crinkly. I thought, hmm they must have a pretty aggressive factory wash. They were lots of hard creases throughout the fabric everywhere as well, like someone washed and tumble dried them on hot. Minus the patch, I figured any creases would come out with another wash, and not handling any FC denim before, I thought this was maybe the norm for jeans with their one wash treatment. I got the 32's from Rodeo Bros yesterday and I was a little surprised at the difference. The patch is very supple, no visible creases anywhere, and even the hand feel is slightly different, perhaps slightly more rigid. I'm not upset or anything, I just think it's interesting. Is it possible Bears did an additional wash to try and squeeze out any further shrinkage? Or perhaps it was returned by a customer who did their own wash, but then that means they would of had to attach the pocket flasher and tags? Curious to know if anyone else has experienced this.

It was recommended to me that I look into the 0105 cut and I'm pretty fired up about the fit. These are the lighter super smooth version and are ridiculously comfortable as advertised. I've normally been wearing a 34 in most jeans and went with a 33 in these. I could of probably sized down to a 32, but a little extra room isn't a bad thing. Tripled cuffed in these photos so I'll probably send these in for a hem at some point.

Yeah -- I hear you. I've been looking at the FC 0105. Wish Bears still had domestic pricing for their jeans 🙃. I feel like these types of cuts are few and far between for Japanese brands.

Definitely prefer looser cuts these days, but the problem I've had in the past with sizing up is with the waist being too big - where the waist band cinches and folds over itself when wearing a belt and the crotch bunches up. I've had the waist taken in on a couple of pairs of jeans that I've sized up in (using Railcar's downsizing service) and the results have never been great. I have an email out to Ryo at TCB to get his thoughts on sizing...

Probably pulling the trigger for the new 40s preorder. I'm really torn on what size though. I've gone through so many pairs over the last 4 years since I've started weightlifting. I'm 5'9 173 lbs, true size 34, but need a thigh < 13". Judging by the waist/around measurement a size 36 would look like it could work - I figure with the higher rise, they could sit a little lower on my hips and give me enough room in the top block. I feel like if I go with a size 38 the waist will be too big and give me crotch folds. The jeans I'm mainly wearing now are the Rivet & Hide RJB collab jeans in a size 34 and they feel too snug, likely could of gone with a 36 there. Idk what to do, I told myself I would only buy new jeans in person, but these look too good to pass up 😅

Assuming it's too late to get in on this (looks like all the spots were filled regardless). Will be watching with interest either way!
