  1. It's still nuts they missed out size 44 jackets from both the 1943 and 1946 runs... what's going on there?! For the 1946 jacket, the size 42 has P2P of 57.5cm then it jumps to 63cm for the size 46. What a lamentable chasm. To the boys and girls at Sugar Cane... as I know you read Superfuture Superdenim for inspiration 😜... come on what about the fellas in the middle, the forgotten size 44s? (Actually, you've probably done me a favour but my point still stands)
  2. An unhelpfully wide range they gave there bF. Where are the measurements up online? Or was that direct through seller? Thanks

@Alec Leamas welcome out of the shadows...
  4. Looking good @LazyS. Similarly I often wear the 516 with a thick hoody and think it goes well. Both the WW2 and 37 jeans are loose on me which I'm cool with... plus that's what @Duke Mantee's belts are for
  5. @LazyS hey mate, I think the 37 denim stretches quite a bit with wear. I'm saying that without having the precision of measurements to hand... however both my 37 jeans and 33 jacket feel roomier with wear than other denim I have. It's not an issue and was useful as the one-wash jacket was quite snug when I got it and is better fit now. Regarding inseam length, I've historically been cautious with hemming (too many issues with early years bad hem jobs) so got my 37s unhemmed (same as other jeans). I then decided I needed a single cuff... sent them back to Seiichiro for a hem-job I could trust (I hear the carbon footprint tutting)... even then I added a a cm or two to manage the risk... and they turned out well. Measurements then.... Seiichiro hemmed mine at 76cm... I've been wearing them and not washed them since.... I'll measure them asap today and report back to see if there's been any change.... to be continued... Update: so my 37s were hemmed to 76cm. That was after I washed them thrice, including a 40C wash and used a dryer. Currently touching 77cm after plenty of wear. A touch bigger, but not much in the grand scheme and there's always measuring error. Comparing waist size of WW2 jeans and 37s at W34. Both after plenty wear, WW2s 44.5 across and 37s 45.5 across. 37s do feel like more spacious which I think works well. Happy with both.
  6. I'm here so why not get this started... All the best for health and happiness in 2024 and beyond folks... Vintage / Freewheelers 37, 33 and Powerwear / Hollows / Viberg
  7. Interestingly... SC are not making the '43 or '46 jacket in size 44. They're doing size 42 or 46 with the latter being T-back and also a size 48 and 50. I wonder what the rationale is? Any historical reference here or just a quirk of this run? I'll consult the book.
  8. ^ bargain... wish it was my size!

  10. I understood they had been aiming for a December release. However, Bears would only say they'll know the delivery date when they arrive . Also they couldn't give sizing hence I asked somewhere (small questions or here most probably) a while ago about how SC generally sized up... so this may or may not work out!! Agreeing @unders the '43 blue looks very nice... fingers crossed
  11. Dunno mate. Just checked again - Bears is OW for the 43. I don't know if SC are also doing raw in it - anyone know?
  12. Haha... I never mentioned the fee for that service did I
  13. @indigoeagle I prebooked the 43s through Bears via IG so you could try them
  14. Yeah some quality fabrics available now to help with either any serious physical activity or just loafing around. I noticed the FW N1 has a couple of ventilation holes under the arm so that's sorted then for looking cool whilst doing any low-exertion activity 😉
  15. Aye mate I've heard the stories of resilient Scots who can brave the cold... ach 5C is a heatwave up the east coast My interest continues... why don't you wear yours much mate? Up to what temperature is it comfortable without being too warm? A range over which it could be worn would be good, rough of course, and add a few C on for us less north ... minus number to <upper end>? If worn with a t-shirt, how does the alpaca feel on the arms? Questions questions questions... it's like the N1 equivalent of @Double 0 Soul's seasonal quiz 😉...
  16. Just wondering about the possible permutations, should they be needed Never had anything alpaca mate... but f me it sounds warm if it stands up to a northern winter... Austin should be well equiped for a softy southern winter in the big smoke then Now my interest is growing... would be good to get more deets please... what's the temperature range it works on approximately with, say a shirt under? e.g. will it keep me warm watching a football match at 2C with the wind whistling sideways down from the peaks? How does it fare if the temperatures are up the warmer end, is it OK up to 15C on, say, a stroll around the park? Cheers matey for the pics... yep that's a bit Michellin eh.... what a cracking coat though... lovely colour... bet it'll fit great without that denim jacket...
  17. @shredwin_206 jacket looks a really good fit mate... shoulders, arms fit well... how is it with the top button closed? I also went a size higher in the S506XX than my usual Freewheelers i.e. 46 instead of 44, as it just gave that extra bit of room, if needed, for layers. I did the same with my S516XX but that was to create space for layers as a winter jacket. I note Seiichiro referred to it as a jacket, as opposed to the 1927 as a blouse. That makes sense to me based on the fit of mine. Both great Type 1s imo.

  19. Gentlemen, we have a duty, in fact an obligation... and no less... to track down at least one lucky recipient of said Roy Buaisou jeans... and cajole them into sharing photos... there is a need to live vicariously on this one!! First Sufu member to find such-like earns a super rep and a clapping hands emoji
  20. Looks like Roy made a few pair of jeans whilst at Buaisou... there's a glimpse on his IG... anyone heard any more?
  21. @julian-wolf look great unworn and even better well worn... top job!
  22. @Broark lovely stuff... and don't forget your umbrella mate ☔️ The burning question (in my mind at least) is can you fit a denim jacket under the N1?
