  1. So I think I read a little bit ago in this thread that they changed some of the warehouse fits? Did the 1001 change at all form say 2016?

I ask because I loved my 1001s so much I am thinking of grabbing another pair, but looking at the newer version while the measurements look roughly the same, the patch now says 1001XX instead of 1001 like my old ones. Was just curious if they're still pretty much the same jean?

EDIT: It also looks like the 800 now says 800XX too, so maybe just a change in the naming scheme on the patch?

Also here are the ones in question https://www.ware-house.co.jp/?pid=132358411

  2. Thanks for the kind words guys. And sadly no renters insurance  it lesson learned. I live in an old complex so no cameras but yeah thinking about it now. But also thinking of moving somewhere else. Haven't really had any issues but I live next to a high traveled homeless area so who knows.

They attempted to break into another but gave up. They broke in through the back entrance and I happen to be the first one they see. My city also isn't very fashionable so maybe they thought they could make a quick buck. Oh well.

And I found out last night, they also took a big thing of change I had (that was given to me by my mom). Was so damn heavy I never really dealt with it so I'm kind of impressed they took it haha.

But now an excuse to buy some jeans I guess haha.

Damn, I’m really sorry dude. That sucks. Not sure how fashion-savvy the douchebags are but I’ll keep my eyes peeled for them being resold online. Boncoura is such a niche brand so if a pair popped up for sale I’d know it.

Yeah going to browse a bit for a while to see if I see anything. And yeah the coo was mentioning like maybe they knew but even for some in the know, boncoura is super niche. They were the ones sitting on top of the stack and look the nicest so probably just grabbed thinking they could make a buck.

And can't double quote on phone but @kicks79 yeah I don't know. Think it was just easy grab. Grabbed the laptops the jeans and shoved it into my duffle bag and ran. No issues with anyone but can't help but feel a bit weird.

  4. So some really shitty stuff happened today. I had my apartment broken into :(. Thankfully they left pretty much everything except they stole my laptop and all my jeans... Yes, all my jeans

I happen to be wearing my shittiest pair today (black lsg), so I have those and the resolutes that were hidden under some clothes that I had just bought.

All my other pairs (warehouse 1001, boncoura 66, Samurai 0500, fullcount 1011, PBJ 009 and even a pair of work Levi's) were taken. I'm thankful they didn't take my more expensive electronics but it hurts so much. Especially the warehouses and boncoura.

There's worse, so I'll move on and grab new pairs but man, this shit sucks. But could be worse haha.

  5. Thank you for the measurements! Those look pretty good! Rear rise is solid but front is a little low but my 0500s had the same so if I size up they should be perfect.

While browising google, I actually found a menswear shop about 25 minutes away (Brogue) that stocks Resolutes. Kind of funny, wish I had know about them sooner... But looks like I get to go try on some 711s in person! Thanks again for those measurements!

@d-rew12 I can get some measurements for you this evening, the denim stretches fairly easily. The rise on the 711 is a little lower than I like, but wearable. I think if I were to buy a pair of 710 I would probably go up to a 38 since they’re a bit slimmer through the leg and thigh.

Awesome, thank you! Yeah I'm finding the 710s are just a little too slim (but perfect knee down) so was thinking of the 711 and just having them tapered. But then I saw the 711s have a lower rise so I am curious. If the rise was the same as the 710 I'd be good haha.

@srudy Shoot me a dm with your name and email. I'll see what we can do. Totally forgot to ask Kuniyoshi-san about ut.

@d-rew12 Don't have the raw measurements I'm afraid but I did get 3-4 cm stretch in the waist.

Thanks for the info! But man that worries me now.

The 36 is perfect except the waist is tiny. A 38 would be too big really everywhere else (except waist) but if ony really 3-4cm (even 5cm) is not enough in the waist. Damn... Might have to wait til september to see if there are any left and see what everyones measure out to. Damn, they look awesome. Is Shingo-san interested in making a 36 but with a waist from a 38 haha (joking).

Hi mate! Happy you like them! Yes, it's after shrinkage. Just beware how Shingo has measured the jeans.

Of course there's no worries if you want to alter them.

Thanks for answering! Do you happen to know the amount of stretch (at least in the waist), or what the raw waist measurement was?

If they don't work out ill take them off your hands!

    They're a size 38, but send me a PM if you're serious!

EDIT: Going to edit instead of double post, @Broark I saw you have a pair of 711s. I am a little worried about the lower rise compared to the 710 (although I am a size up from you), what is the rise at after a bit of stretch if you don't mind me asking?

  10. Damn, this looks awesome! I've noticed that my last few jeans are are pretty slim and release I want a slightly more relaxed pair like my 1001s so this is very tempting! I assume the measurements on the site are after shrink right? They look pretty good! I assume no issue though if we decide to get them tapered a bit (from someone else)?

  11. I got a 38x32 and currently measure 30" in length. But yeah, the only length they had in a 38 was the 32, but I knew that and figured I'd have to get them hemmed anyway so not too worried. A 30" is doable but would prefer 28-29"

You should be fine if they are a little tight in the waist. Mine stretched 1.25"-1.50" in the waist after 5-10 wears. The 710 is a wonderful cut. Nice pick up!

That's good to hear! the thighs are a little tight as well but I wanted a slim cut and I could probably afford to lose a bit of weight anyways .

And thank you! I almost didn't end up grabbing them but my brother convinced me to go to the store since we were close. Glad I did! Just need to get them hemmed so I can rock the hayashi-san look! Whether I can pull it off though is another story...

  13. Finally got myself a pair! Grabbed a pair of the 710s while in Tokyo last week. They're a little tight so not sure I should've bought them but oh well haha. The store guy said no stretch for one wash which seems weird so I know they'll stretch but might be pretty minimal

I have the 009 (same cut) and the 1001 in the same size (so might not be super comparable as 009 are a little smaller I think) but the 009s are much smaller in the seat area. Less front rise, smaller waist, rear rise is around the same. I had my 1001s tapered so can't compare below the crotch anymore sadly. I do remembe the 1001s not being as wide though in the leg. Overall though the 1001 are bigger in the waist/rise/seat so are way more comfortable for me, but it's been a while since I've worn my 009.

  15. Finally got around to washing them before my Japan trip. Sadly they're in worse shape than I was expecting so when I get back, I'll wash again and take to SE for repairs. I think this is the 9th wash and maybe around 2ish years? I lost count sadly

Any superdenim friendly brands make a good lightweight rain jacket? Don’t need it to be super waterproof or anything technical really, just need something lightweight and water resistant. I really like the Colombo Maximilian parka but can’t find it in my size anywhere.

I recently bought aa North Face rain shell. It's pretty great. Super light and keeps water away. I bought it on ebay so didn't have to pay retail but I quite like it.

  17. I only have the 66, but I love them! It's been a love/hate relationship but great jeans. I want to try the detergent just for novelty. A while back I saw they had a really nice sweater but was very expensive. I was also browsing alpha shadows again looking at what they had and saw prices went up. Glad I grabbed mine when I did.

  18. @Josh'N'Roll Thank you for the info! I actually edited my post because a few minutes ago because I figured it out . I for some reason got the notion the tag length size was one wash (which is usually never the case), but thank you for sharing! Felt pretty dumb after I realized it haha.

Do you happen to have a thigh measurement? I am pretty set on a 38 but curious to see what yours is. Comparing BiG to zabou/sapporo there's a decent difference. Could be down to measuring differently so I'm curious.

  19. Zabou Tokyo has a 38x32 in stock. I'm not sure if they ship but they have an english portion of their site so maybe?

I was planning on going and grabbing a pair from them while I'm visiting in May. I'm also going to Sapporo so sapporo-base sounds intriguing since they have more options for inseam, and would be cool to check out a shop while in Sapporo!

Oh duh haha, didn't even realize you had to log in now. Thanks for the help! I'm really liking the 90s mountain parka but kind of in between sizes. Wish I bought it  afew months ago though when we had a lot of rain
