^I bought mine raw (but washed early on), but I don't think it'll harm your fades too much.

The denim feels very soft and smooth, but solid. As for stretch, I ordered a 32 (33 waist) with the idea that it would stretch out to my actual waist (just under 34) and they got there pretty easily.
Not that I've noticed.
Good to know! I've been in the market for some black jean and these are so damn cheap and fit the bill, it's hard to say no. Just a little worried about the thigh

^I was actually just looking into them and thinking of grabbing a pair. How does the denim feel? A lot of stretch?

I cold washed mine but I didn't get a lot of shrink (probably why) in the waist and pretty much stretched back out.

Samurai S0500 17.5 months, 10 washes.
The jeans are now falling apart but will still continue to wear them until they disintegrate! I had a fun two years in them! Took loads of trips, various countries, field work, and tons of other shit. I started wearing them everyday for a while then gradually wore them less. Great pair!
Middleweight category.

When should we post our final photos by? I was thinking of giving them one final wash next weekend, but do have photos to put up if needed.

Thanks d-rew. Those measurements give me some insight. I'll have to communicate with the seller for some more specific measurements.
No problem!

Unfortunately I had mine tapered, from like 2" below the crotch so the knee and hem are smaller. The knee was around 9.5ish before taper. I also had them hemmed before I worm them too, but I think if you look back far enough I posted the original post wash measurements. Hem was probably like 8.75-9 pre hem.
Edit: found the old measurements and they knee was 9.875 and hem was 9"

^I have a pair of sz 36 0500's and I don't think you'll be able to get a thigh that big. Also the Texas cotton stretches really easy.
Here's some measurements of my pair that have been worn and washed (and currently stretch out) a ton
Waist: 18.5
FR: 11.5
RR: 16.25 (usually 15.5ish after a wash)
Thigh: 13.25

My work finally started forcing me to wear brown pants when in the field (pretty much all the time), so this is about the end of DWC for me (i'd probably only get another 15-20 wears max by May 1st so not much). My parents also sold their house, so these are the last pics I'll take with the wood/deck background. A good closing to the DWC for me (since all update photos were taken in the same spot)! Shit ton of pics incoming...

^Thanks for the measurements! That chest is perfect but shoulders seem a bit big. I'm kind of divided now... Either way, looks like a great sweater/sweatshirt!

You went with an XL Volvo? Did the measurements of yours match closely with those of 2nd? Really like how yours fits, and thinking of grabbing myself one (although I might go up to XXL depending on the chest)!

Thanks for the measurements, they look pretty good. Still happy I went with the 66 but both seem like great fits. Also curious to see some post soak fits!

You finally did it! They look good! And even after a month or so, mine are still pretty stiff but loving them! I'm curious to see what the post -soak measurements if you woulnd't mind. Kind of interested to see if maybe the XX was the way to go haha . Love the back pocket rivets too!

Friend took a pic at the beach. Still going strong!

my 1001 at about 4 months, 5 wash/soaks. They were thrown in the washing machine a lot when I first got them so a lot of soak/washes. Not too much happening but liking it so far!

Those look so good! Hurts that I can really only wear mine like 2-3 times a month now because of my new job . Only a few years from now mine'll look good!

A little update from me. I started a new job at the beginning of December that is pretty much fieldwork 5 days a week. Unfortunately, I am forced to wear a uniform (brown pants), so was a little bummed. Thankfully (for now), the uniform provider is having issues so I've been able to wear what I want the past month so I've put in some good use on my Samurai's. But now, they are starting to really fall apart. So, I decided to try a few home repairs. Be warned, the stitching is absolutely awful, but hey, it works! You can see the stitching a lot better in the daylight but it's still pretty hard to see since It matches the denim color pretty well. The fabric is pretty damn thin, and is fraying pretty bad so we'll see how long it lasts.

More crotch tearing (I don't think this one will last but we'll see)

Any idea when the new Daaifau/Red Cloud sneakers are supposed to be released? They look a lot better than the previous iteration, but want to see a few more pics of them. They look good so far though!

Kind of offtopic (but could be denim related). Anyone have any recommendations for things to see/do/eat in Austin and Philly (can or doesn't have to be denim related)? Going to both in a few weeks to visit friends.
