I love the short length on my Boncoura's haha. Only pair I never had to hem
And for some reason it wont let me +rep but Broark they're looking good! And istwei, I like the fit!
I don't wear mine super often due to my job nowadays but still love them. And probably the pair i've gone the longest without washing. I just love the starchyness to them!

Don't have too many pics of my 1001's so here is one from the weekend! Love these so much

I'm thinking of taking the plunge on the S511NBK. I got some measurements from denimio and the fit seems okay, although I could use some higher rise. They didn't really know much about the fabric. Is this the same 17oz that theyve used in the past? I know the 15oz has a lot of stretch. Anyone know what to expect out of the 17oz?

Mine is a size 36, and my thigh is 13" so maybe I can easily get a bit more... hopefully.

^I had the same thought when I first started wearing mine ... they looked and felt very constricting. After a few days they stretched out and now (about 4 months of wear in) the thighs fit pretty much exactly how I hoped they would—slightly loose but very comfortable, in line with how they feel from the knees down. Might as well try and see if they work for you since you already got them hemmed. here's hoping!
Very true, might as well wear them for a bit and see! But good to hear about some stretch. I think if i can get a little, they'd be perfect. Probably just need to wear for like a week or so.

oh damn... I don't mind too much about non fading black jeans, but I guess I still want them to fade a little haha. Damn yeah, still on the hunt for a nice fitting pair of black denim
Edit: Yeah went back and it does mention being harder to fade than old BKB. Damn

Just saw the S511NBK on the samurai instagram page, and just saw them for pre order on 2nd. Really tempted since it my sugar canes might not work out.
Any comments on the 17oz denim? I assume same one from the 710bk.

Decided to say screw it and bought the black Sugar canes off of Rakuten. Well... the thighs are pretty tight. They're not super uncomfortable but are tight and do look a bit tight. What kind of stretch do you think I'd get?
already got them hemmed to 30" so probably going to have to take a big hit on them =(

I pretty much always wear sneakers. I just recently bought some Doek baskets. But sadly, I am probably going to return them unless anyone in interested? Comparing both Shoes like pottery and Doek baskets to converse (regular, not 70s), the converse are the best for me. They fit better and imo look better. Which I guess is a good thing since they're cheaper too haha

anyone know how much their normal work shirt/flannels shrink? I spilled some coffee on mine and needs a wash. I'll probably wash on cold an hang dry but was just curious if anyone had any experiencing? It's just that the fit is perfect and can't really risk losing to much in any category.

My only issue with AB fits is the last two times I went, the jeans were uneven lengths... So I just switched to Selfedge.

^Was going to say the same thing. Those blueowl ones are thick as hell haha. Can't tell on the upper pair but the momotaro's look way too think.

@d-rew12 get them! i wasn't sure about them at first but once they break in and the sulfur smell wears off they are incredible. the fabric is rough and marbled on the outside and very smooth/regular feeling inside, and they fade very subtly, which assuaged my worry with getting a pair of black jeans (that they would fade quickly to grey).
I've been trying to get back into Black jeans for a little while now, it's just more do I need jeans or not haha. And messed up my back and been told I should lose some weight so i've been on the edge... But man do I want them!

Still debating if I should grab the sugar cane type 3 black jeans or not...

Ah fuck I completely forgot to sign up haha. Best of luck to everyone!

I think I'm going to do a black pair because I've been eyeing the Sugar Canes and might be a good reason to buy them. Although I don't need more jeans haha

There's a similar one by LVC on sale at canoe club right now, not sure what the sizing is like on it though.
Thanks for the suggestion! It's pretty much spot on, but for some reason there is something off about it. Good price though, thanks!

I think I've asked a similar question in the past but anyone know of something similar to this fullcount jacket (http://www.fullcount-online.com/item/2887.html)? I love it, but unfortunately the biggest size is still too small. Was hoping to find something close to it.

6th wash on my 1001. Wasn't going to wash them but partied a little too hard and got some stuff on them haha. No idea how many months but probably like 6ish. A lot of nice color coming out on these! Probably should have taken them in better lighting... oh well

12th wash on my S0500's. Probably last wash for a while. I may or may not retire them since they're pretty much falling apart. Going to have to take to SE again to get the hole repaired.

Congrats everyone! Was a fun two years! My Sam's are pretty much destroyed now haha.

The 421's look good! I've wanted a pair for like 6+ years but never jumped the gun. You're making it tempting! Although I actually like the yellow button haha (and the arcs).

Also the schuykill river has a really nice path for biking running etc. if you're into history there's a plethora of options- I love valley forge park. There are also some really great breweries in the area- tired hands being my favorite. If you don't have a car SEPTA trains are easy to get to those places.
Awesome! I'm visiting my friend who lives in Chinatown area and won't have a car. But plan on checking out some of the touristy stuff like liberty bell, capital , rocky steps etc. Also plan on doing a lot of eating and drinking so I'll definitely check out that brewery.

Self Edge, SF/NY/LA/PDX - updates & info

I was in the SESF store trying on the 019 Black PBJs and the guy I was talking to mentioned that the new one wash process for these was less intense than previous models but didn't elaborate much more on that. I have an older pair of 009s that I bought one wash but didn't shrink any more after I bought them. I am kind of split between the sizes depending on the shrink so was just curious about some more info about the new wash/rinse process.
