  1. @Broark Hem your damn jeans you hippy!
  2. @JohnM I am glad the W34 worked out for you as it did! Really a good and comfy looking fit. On another note, the SugarCane Okinawa is said to be dyed with a small amount of Ryukyu natural indigo (never found out how much, probably jst 1% or so ). Anyway, it might be this indigo from this blog entry: https://amakuma.ryukyu/en/ai-en/
  3. It's time of the year where I don't wear much else... Merz - Ooe - Duke - Doek
  4. Would fit me based on the numbers but who needs another Type 2 jacket?!
  5. The contrast stitching plays a big role and can deceive your eyes. If you want a pair of black jeans which look black it's better to use tonal stitching (IMO).
  6. Seems he changed his offer. You can somehow order jeans now through mail or IG but it is limited to 50 orders. And I don't know when it will start (maybe still July 13th !?) It's interesting, he has quite long lead time (10+ months) yet he is increasing his channels. Besdies Neat Style he will also sell at Crossover. So maybe he will start making more batches like Ooe is doing and will reduce the custom pairs. Or he will hire staff?!
  7. For a W60 they don't look that big
  8. Less demand, less inventory to keep in stock, designers think at a certain size one inch more or less don't matter so much anymore...all possible reasons. I only know some smaller brands offering W37 and so (Ooe, CSF did, rebuilt.jp,)
  9. Yes, they stretch back like all unsanforized denim does. I have the 220a in a W34 and the Ooe in W36 so your plan sounds doable
  10. You mean physically walking into a store to buy the item? Don't know but how often do you need that?
  11. @mlwdp Do they really (still) charge this: With FromJapan you pay 300 Yen as a fee and that's it. I know some shops work together with Worldshopping or Buyee and make it quite convinient but yeah, these days a 10% fee is really too much for with so many cheaper options.
  12. Yes, they will usually shrink some more.
  13. The waist looks less snug than we both feared after seeing the raw measurements! 😅 Very nice and I hope you enjoy some Denime history 😄
  14. Seems like FromJaoan introduced an internal rule about a lower limit for declared value. At least I got a pop-up. No explanation though how this limit is determined.
  15. I case you haven't seen it: https://www.instagram.com/p/C8qReq4vsc9/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link It's the "dull" version though.
  16. They don't, see here: https://store.toyo-enterprise.co.jp/html/ordercontract.html (at least that's what their HP says)
  17. Currently my most comfortable pair. 1947
  18. @yung_flynn those Kyoto look great and a perfect hayashi-san style! With the colour and everything they are really close to the Resolute 710. I never had a pair of Kyoto (would need a W36 in them) so I didn't know the rise is lower than on Resolute 710. Sp the lower rise combined with the slim fit makes them probably a no go for me. One pair to cross off the "need" list @blooming The 220A look perfect as well! Some Mercari items: Shins era 66XX in W34 in quite a good condition: https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/special/order/confirm/https%3A%2F%2Fjp.mercari.com%2Fitem%2Fm92968816353/13_1/ And a Sins era XX in W30 in perfect one-wash condition, good price https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/special/order/confirm/https%3A%2F%2Fjp.mercari.com%2Fitem%2Fm33729224263/13_1/
  19. Question regarding vintage Levi's 501s: Did the seams really pucker so much like they do on Japanese repros? I am wearing my CSF right now and was astonished about the amount of puckering on my front pocket seams. Didn't really notice this on vintage 501s so far.
  20. No Boots, no Life is a professional 2nd hand shop. They have quite a lot of old Denime stuff around (for high prices). There used to be a pair of Kyotos in W40 being for sale for years. IIRC even with a buy it now option. Last week a bidding war started on them. Moral of the story: there will always be the right time for the right item
  21. We will know more when you receive your Type 1 jacket from BoT
  22. Funny, I wrote him because of this website 2-3 weeks ago and he said it can still only be ordered in person. Maybe lost in translation though.
  23. Maybe not the best weather for a blanket lined denim jacket but still: https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/auction/yahoo/input/l1141085634/ Size 42, Orizzonti era
