Making more room and thus getting rid off the pairs that I probably won't be able to wear in some years Resolute 710 in 34x32 (130€) Resolute 710 in 34x33 (100€)

Exactly @Maynard Friedman I think I prefer the Denime as a WW2 model. Resolute is more a fashion brand than a repro brand.
-
I prefer the details/sewing of the Denime but the fit on the Resolute is a little bit better. The denim on the Denime is also very nice but I wish I would have found a raw pair since these were really boiled. Now I am thinking about hemming the Denime so the fit will improve. But I can't tell you which is my favourite

A small comparison between Denime WW2 and Resolute 714. The details are very similar but the Denime have the rougher sewing. They are pretty similar in fit as well, same rise and lower leg. The 714 are slightly slimmer in hip and thighs.

What am I missing? Are these SOAS really that special or are they just the only western store to carry them? How do they differ from these? https://www.jeans-neshi.com/mensjeanskan/lee/lee-vintage-menu.htm

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

100% cotton stitching vs. poly-cotton stitching I was always an advocate for 100% cotton stitching but I slowly embrace the beauty of having to repair less After wondering why I have never broken stitches and now knowing that Resolute 710 is sewn with poly-cotton I appreciate it more. Also because the jeans till pucker in all the right places and the stitching still ages along the jeans. Looking forward to the Mepse BigE which also uses poly-cotton stitching and how it helds up and will look. -
By the way, Mepse posted a 10% off coupon for orders through their Base.shop..maybe something the proxy service could use as well.

Good deal for a Orizzonti 66 (W32) https://jp.mercari.com/item/m42988000280

I always use FromJapan (except once I tried Buyee to order from Mercari because of a coupon). With FromJapan I can adjust the value and they also offered a 1,000 Yen coupon for purchases over 20,000 Yen so why not?!

I did exactly that yesterday and now have to wait roughly a month until he will finish the BigE model I ordered. Will let you guys know hiw it works out

Do tell, I must have missed (or more likely forgot) it.

@Geeman I would just ask the shop to measure the specific pair for you. Use the charts from BEARS or Sapporo Base as a starting point

The pics don't show for me, unfortunately. Against my initial plan and better judgement I ordered a 714 some time ago. Took some time to produce a new run and get the signature. Now waiting for them to arrive

I bought a size up in the Asahi. Will let you know once I really wear them.

You could look at Novesta, I think it's the same factory in Slovakia where RoF is produced but they are cheaper. Or you check military surplus stores. In terms of history I can't tell you which factory/brand made the original ones in the first place but they are very similar to Adidas Samba so..
