  1. Thanks for compiling and reposting the shrink data! In terms of sizing, in this contest we have way more info than on the other contest I remember. I might go with a W36 again...motivation to shed some lbs and thus keep fitting all the other jeans I own 😅
  2. Makes you wonder if they are really vintage and not just made by Sugarcane to then make a repro of it. Something CSF was "accused" to do at one point over on the...other forum... 😅
  3. I might have missed that or must be stupid but these #23 jeans from the Levi's 501 book have oddly familiar pocket bags (sorry if it has been posted before) Besides Sugarcane and CSF, the Chinese repro brand Mobilization also uses this pattern.
  4. Definitely! No mandatory monthly check in. Post whenever you feel like doing it (best: daily).
  5. Hello again 👋 Simone is working on some more detailed description of all the models available for this contest so it will be easier for you guys to decide! Apart from the customisation listed earlier (e.g. hidden rivets on the 311 optional), there will be no customisation or non-period correct details, e.g. herringbone twill pockets bags on the 5150. Let's wait and see what he works out! Of course, it's an old-school Sufu contest and the action plays here. However, if you are active on Instagram and want to promote this contest and Simone's work, we suggest the following three hashtags: #massproductionsucks #notmadetolast #sufuwmjcontest
  6. @Double 0 Soul what a stunner! (the bike obviously)
  7. I go with a 37 in the contest pair. Shrink to 34 and stretch from there to (hopefully only 35") 36"
  8. Happened twice now on my pair, so yes. It can be done. Don't want to do it on my contest pair though.
  9. A little update. 2 spots open. Please comtact MJF9 or me if you are missing your name on the list! 10. A little update before I go quiet: This contest will be judged by a crème de la crème of Sufu guys. We will announce them soon. We still have open spots to join but a special person will join as well (the person above is the special person). More important dates will be communicated later.
  11. Thanks guys! Mother and child are both well and will leave the hospital tomorrow (or rather I will pick them up). Baby/dad fades will certainly happen 😉 I will go with the 1942 version he offers. One size up from my 411. If anyone has questions, please ask them here in this thread. Simone is watching it 😉 and @MJF9 will pick it up with him.
  12. And stretched again out to 36"... I think not 3 weeks yet?!
  13. 15 deposits have been paid so far! Thanks guys! @julian-wolf do you need another way of paying like bank transfer?! A nice hairiness On another note, our little daughter was born on September 3rd, so expect me to be less active in the next time...
  14. This is how Simone measures the rise. 32.5 cm on a W34 here. Similar to BiG. He will add a guide on his website soon but it can take some time.
  15. Exposed! Edit: but the WoM are shorter than I wanted them to be. I will order a longer inseam for the contest so I will end with a 80 cm Inseam. Give or take 1 cm.
  16. He measures the waist Blue in Green style. Waisband aligned and straight across. How I also measure my jeans. I will ask him about the discrepancy (I think some is to be expected). Maybe the measurements are from the pattern and during sewing it can change? I will confirm. And like already quoted, you can specifiy the inseam you need at no extra costs.
  17. Me as well...but then I luckily saw the inseam @UkeNothe S411 is as the 611 (they are basically the same only different names) rather a late 30s cut.
  18. And for transparency reasons in case you wondered if I would pay for the jeans as well So let's get it on!
