Some guys have shared their measurements already (I haven't washed a pair of 221 yet). I think @blooming was one of them.
-
Its the same on the 220. I have no idea why, can't prove it's an original detail on old Denime.
-
I don't know either but CSF and rebuilt.jp also use the rounded hidden rivets and buttons.

Haha, yes I also thought that the Devis would be the first ones. Maybe they also used Miura pair as inspiration, who knows?

@Maynard Friedman looking forward to those pics 😉 or just some fade pics 😄 @scooby you killed that patch! How did you wash?
-
His homepage is online: https://www.wordofmouthjeans.com/ The jeans look nice (the back pocket shape improved). The price is quite steep but I am probably just cheap
-
@81FXR I moved you post to the right spot. I can say that the 15.5oz denim is a real slow fader. Your 13.7oz will feel like a fast fader in comparison. The heaver denim has also more character in terms of slub and nep.

About the batch numbers of Denime: I have no fucking clue. Smarter persons than me can decipher when the jeans were made, I can't. For a long time I thought they would just print whatever they want but the numbers and letters can be dated to the production run. And in regards to the pocket bags, that's a small nod to Levi's. They also had such printed numbers on the pocket bags. I asked earlier if someone could explain it. But IIRC @Paul T and also @Dr_Heech can't (or am I wrong?!)
-
Intended. That's the whole point of CSF
-
Great pair Julian! You do all the repairs on your own?

Did you post about these Cane's yet? Looking fabulous!
-
Would need them in W36 😉
-
No release dates but they will carry the OW version. Bears marks down if you ask them to.

There are pairs every now and then but yes, much rarer than the XX. You often find worn pairs but also some deadstock pairs were available recently. I always send the links to @Flash with pairs in his size...but he just won't buy them
-
Kyoto model and Lot.178 A-Type...that's probably it

The WW2 were released 3 years ago or so. I also like UES and looked at them quite often. The denim fades really nice and while I don't like coloured wefts, this slight brown tint is okay. Size-wise they run a bit larger IMO. I had the 400T in size 34 and this was when I was at least 10 kg heavier. But yeah, I would probably get a 34 again
-
@Graytrain as my sample size is n=1 for XX and WW2 from the Orizzonti era, please take it with a grain of salt. The WW2 is a touch straighter in the lower leg. Top block is not too different but my WW2 feel tighter. As a note, they had been boiled to death by the previous owner I guess. They have the laurel leaf buttons, lack of rivets, wider back pockets, wonky stitches to show the WW2 characteristics (I want to believe Denime was the first brand to pay attention to this, prove me I am wrong!!!), all yellow stitching, the denim feels different to the XX but I can't say it actually is a different denim, my pocket bags are white canvas. They used different material for different runs.

Sorry to bother and bore you all. When John (and later me) tried to buy that deadstock Orizzonti pair, I found this pair of Denime XX from the Shins-era at the same time. Snagged them for 14k ¥ which is quite okay I think. They looked like a one-wash pair with some wear but these were never worn. This completes my Denime XX collection with a pair from each era. And they are all different of course. So now some pictures for you to enjoy that wonky Denime sewing and sloppy finish
