  1. PRPS has some pretty overboard distressing but I still like the look of them and they use nice denim as well. I have seen some older AG's that have pretty decent looking distressing (and some butt ugly ones too!) What else would you expect from the Godfather of distressed denim.

  2. Sorta. I'm 6'1", but I seem to have short legs or something, 33" inseam works for me, I'm not into the uberstack look. When I bought the S7100XX it had a tapered leg, but after hemming, not so much. Have you decided against a pair because hemming would change look of the jean?

I am 6'1" as well and 33" is the perfect inseam for a 6'1" in most cases. I say you are run of the mill Dink danger, sorry dude. I also had a 6'1" roommate in college who had same inseam I think it is a pretty common one for a 6'1" guy.

  3. Anyone here have any experience with these jeans? I'm wondering how much these will stretch. I just purchased a pair recently and I can zip and button them just fine, but they're a bit tight up top. The waist is fine, but the butt and thigh areas are pretty tight. The denim on these seem like they won't be stretching out much, like on some APCs for instance. Might just have to give up and return them which would be a shame cause the details and quality on these are real nice.

My philosophy is given time all jeans stretch. I have seen no jeans that do not stretch. I have heard skulls are good for not stretching but have not seen 1st hand what this means.

Some APC don't stretch? which ones, I think you meant all APC stretch lots! :P

I say by my experience with jeans, and how you say your jeans fit now give it a few more weeks and they will fit perfect, or you could always do the wear wet. I have seen the wear wet method make ridiculous tight jeans fit and stretch multiple sizes.

ps. don't return those they are sweet. I really like them and have been hunting for a pair on sale.

  4. Wow. I love Lee, I love 101z, I love those jeans! Awesome score Serge those a jean collectors wet dream. Your story is like one of those Penthouse forum articles. Your all like "so I was just walking along when these two hot jeans started totally kissing each other...and then me!"

    Ah, goosebumps! Simply Beautiful jeans.

  5. This article is complete bullshit! Everyone knows that the most expensive jeans Are these fat stacks edition mom jeans. Every pocket comes full of one stack of moolah. And for all you jive turkeys that don't know what a stack is, it is one thousand. SO if you get the five pocket ones 5 X1000 = 5000 + 15 (for original shitty jeans) = $5015.00 Voila the worlds most expensive jeans.

  6. I too have seen faultless fake evisu, sevens, etc. I would say one thing in favour of these jeans is where they are coming from. (not asia :D) Also guessing by his history he does not sell tonnes of evisu jeans that is also a plus, although these things can be faked as well.

I think they look pretty good but I am also not very familiar with evisu. If someone familiar with evisu's line checked them I think they could give you a definitive answer.

  7. I can't reiterate enough how much I also love canes viv. I feel like this should almost go into the canes thread but I am talking about my crush. I love sugarcanes!!! The begins are so unique and sexy at the same time. I am crushing on the 40200, 40300, and 40400. I dare someone to get the all-in-one SC overalls!

I have decide to drop out of school and not enter the business world and instead grow my home renovation business so I can wear jeans more. (Actually there are many reasons why I have chosen this path but the ability to always wear denim did play a factor) :D:D

  8. You need to fix that asap. Cotton unlike synthetic fibers does not self mend itself when burnt. You now have a weak spot in your jeans in a high stress area. It could just tatter and fray or you could take a large step/stretch/climb up a stair and it could rip a large hole in your crotch.

  9. Hi,

I see on this forum a lot of denim brands, but i mis one brand here and that is PACE JEANS !

I Love this brand and it's hardcore denim.

    Mac

Show us some pics of your so sweet Pace denim so we can see why these doggies are the cat's ass. I would love to see a pair broken in a bit if you have one.

  10. Wow Hews you unleashed some smack for not unlocking his pearl before trying to sell it. :D:D People from Edmonton are straight shooters.

Yeah I was half interested until I heard I had to figure out some unlocking, Hews is right if you unlocking yourself it will sell much easier.

  11. I really wanted those CMF Homme 1945 canes but someone else nabbed them on the sly, I really didn't even know they were going to be released to the public. I am sure they are great though.

I am trying to do a pair of my own but they could not possibly turn out as good as pair of original CMFs. :(:(

  12. Ok seems like no one knows anything about them so tell us, what is their deal?

Are they so sweet and breaking in so nice?

If you want a straight up opinion on them I don't like.

1)cut looks big and flare/bootcut style

2)dragons (I feel dragons are the male equivalent of unicorns... that includes tatoos)

3)Back pocket stitch is a straight line - Gap used a straight line like that for a long time I don't like it.

4)Fake whisker look fake (big surprise)

    5) I also don't like the two perfect little rips on the back pockets in the same spots

Now I know you did not ask about my opinion but you did ask if anyone knew anything about those, buy looking at your pictures these are the things I know about those jeans.

But in all seriousness I doubt you care what my opinion is.

PS. Is anyone else tired of selvedge denim? :D

  13. i have a crush on a pair of sugar cane sc40300n (size 30)

    natural indigo lee repro

    50/50 sugar millet/cotton blend

indigo dyed patch and pocket bags

    i want the one i can't have

    and it's driving me mad

do you have a crush, too?

SC41945 was my old crush; but we are together now....I try not to cheat on her but eyes will wander. Those are beautiful DDML. I love lee and lee repro cut is just a bit slimmer than a 501 cut, turns out to be so perfect.

As for a new crush, I would like something LVC but not sure what yet Would like to see the 201XX in person. http://mil-mil.net/jeans/levis/201xx.html

  14. You really like the back of those hey?

My brother older brother used to wear lucky jeans in the early '90s I remember thinking they were the cats ass but alas I junior high and my mother would not buy me expensive jeans.

  15. Hawaii isn't the place to come for hard to find brands. Aloha Rag has cool stuff though. If you're into street / urban wear, you can find cool stuff at In4mation (they have Fiberops), Kicks Hawaii, and Leilow (they carry Neighborhood and other cool brands). For hats you should check out Fitted Hawaii.

    Good luck!

I am not going to Hawaii for the shopping, I go there for the ocean but have only been to the big island thus far (which has zero shopping) But trust me coming from where I do even having one store like kicks or in4mation blows our shopping out of the water.

  16. In the states too. In the San Fran store today I asked about LVCs and got a blank stare, then I said Levis Vintage Clothing, she said oh, we only sell new jeans in this store.

This is classic it makes me laugh... then cry. There is a major labour shortage in Alberta so that is what I keep saying to myself when I get a moronic response like that in a store.

  17. I have had some bad experiences in the past.

Then cuff your jeans but you can't decide on jeans on the basis of the inseam (unless it is too short).

Find a better tailor, realistically clothes are designed to fit a certain body or size and most people who care about fit have a reputable tailor that they know and see regularly. I think a better question would be who knows a good tailor in your area.

Boycotting tailors because you had a bad experience is like not using a dentist or doctor because you have had a bad experience or quitting eating out because you had bad service.

Or you could go to an rpm45 store and they can hem them as you buy them. I guess the bottom line is that your question is ridiculous and you need to know that. Get over the hemming issue and a world of opportunities will be opened up to you.

PS. By "RR" did you mean Rock and Republic or Double R L? Please don't say Rock and Republic. :D

  18. I spoke to a SA at 45 rpm and the raw denim in question is a size 30. I'm a size 30 but the raw will be a 32 and should shrink to 30 after the wash. Showering with the jeans ( suggested ) on is one way to shrink the jeans to conform with the body. I must say, there's something appealing about controlling how much shrinkage you prefer ( by using hot or cold water ), and how much color loss you prefer by using detergent or not. Here's a photo of RAW Jomons.

I am not trying to be a jerk on this but as far as one washes go that is a heavy one washed imo, look at the wear/fading around pocket and belt loops. Also there is very different lighting in those two pictures.
