  1. Finally some solid pics of one of these infamous cyc w+H, spruce caboose so fricking sweet ass hoodies!

I never knew what the big dealio was with these things because I have never seen one in person. (dumb because I live in Canada but have not found them anywhere in edmonton)

Very nice details I like very much hope your sale goes well.

  2. DO NOT GET AN ORIGINAL HEM. It looks brutal and would be a way worse option then losing your "sewn-wrong" look. I also vote for asking a tailor to replicate the look on the hem but don't do the original hem they suck they usually never sit right and if your pick (I am crazy picky) you won't be satisfied because you'll feel like such a tool because of retarded looking original hem.

ps. I won't call you out but when I see your jeans I will think "thats why original hems are so brutal" :D:D:D

  3. I doubt they would shrink too much but any natural fabrics You need to be careful washing in order to minimize shrinkage. Excessive heat should shrink them. Distressing down not totally negate the effects of shrinkage because they may not have used processes that would necessarily pre-shrink the fabric for you.

Short answer is that if you wash and dry those with heat they will shrink. This could be presumptuous because I have not dealt with those pants particularly but that is my educated guess.

  4. if ur serious email me and i will send you the pics

u tell me how much and what you want to pay

i have them on my laptop but they wont load onto the forum.

please only inquire if ur really going to buy. i have two indigo qualities and one black.

if anyone knows how to upload this crap then i will post but until then...

This is a bit of an ignorant statement to make on a forum you are brand new to. For one do you know the definition of "inquire" it means to ask about something (usually before committing to buying it)

I suggest you try a different sales tactic, namely quit being ridiculous, people will inquire about what your prices are and what your deal is before they decide to be "serious" or not.

  5. I am going to second the recommendation for the distressed ones as well. In something like say 33/34 if you brought that in i would buy a pair and I am sure quite a few others would as well at those prices.

  6. i think the next contest should be 1 year like the current one, they have to be raw at inception but that catch is that they have to be mall jeans. rocawear, true religion, LRG, etc... basically any easy to get nonselvedge made in mexico cheapie jeans. i think that we should try to actually prove what we fiend after is actually what we say it is and not just what we perceive it to be.

I find your ideas intriguing tell me more...

  7. Do you have a neighborhood that s kinda scuzy or dirty? Maybe close to your cities Chinatown? That is where you get them, it is at the military surplus store where the one armed man works (Simpsons).

  8. Just got this email from one of the steve's over at iron army, thought some of you may be interested...

"Hey, the new line will be online within this month, but for now you can buy a lot of the new styles at Barney’s, Hollywood Trading Co. or Fred Segal/Ron Herman in LA. Or Akira in Chicago."

    Dave

Did one of the Steve change his name to Dave?

  9. They are legitimate sugarcanes, mid 90s I believe but I could be wrong. Yes they are also ugly but back in the 90s they must have been radical?

Was the other name they used Toyo? I have never heard this "other name" but I am guessing based off the name of their parent company.

  10. All of the above. :D

For me it depends on the cut of the denim itself and also the shoes I am wearing or what I am doing. For reg ralf I would probably go cuff but really with that cut you could do which ever you feel like. Do you wear mostly sneakers? Then I would especially go cuff. I feel that cuffing looks best with things like dunks and NB sneakers and a hem or stack is better with boots and leather shoes.

  11. Trouble is, last time I read up on the subject, there were no places to try on Japanese repo denim, so I'd just be putting my faith into what I've read (which is usually limited to whether the fit is "good" or "bad").

I was thinking about some Lee 101zs, but I really don't like the way the back pocket comes down past the butt, to a point. That sort of back pocket usually looks really bad on me.

I tried on the Japanese denim regular ralfs on, but the thigh was too narrow, and I didn't think the denim quality was all that great for the price.

As far as the greycast on the LVCs, I only saw them prewash, but I loved the grey tone to them. I tend to not like solid blue blue jeans much.

Those are just the 101z from the one company, check out the edwin, sugarcane, or lee euro of the 101z and 101b they don't have the super drop pocket with the point just the regular sheild style pocket.

  12. OK my first question is on searching. I could maybe use a tutorial on how the search works for this forum. I have been trying to find lee pocket stitching or vintage lee and turned up almost nothing, it makes me believe I am not searching properly/effectively. Anyone have some tips?

Secondly someone posted a one page scanned in guide of lee pocket stitch/tags/zippers/etc.. which I think is from one of the lightening guide (i am not sure) Anyone remember what thread or have it and could post again? Thanks.

  13. I hate to add to the sarcastic statements but did you buy your jeans from the bizzaro dimension where everything reacts the opposite of how it should? If so then wear then jeans lots should shrink the waist back to their regular size. :D:D:D

  14. The money isn't really a big deal. I for sure don't want to spend over $300.

I've heard, and it looks like from the pictures I've seen, that Japanese repo cuts have a shlubby lok to them. They're meant to be sagged, and not meant to be somewhat form fitting. If this isn't true I'll take the risk and buy a pair.

I would buy the LVC 501XXs, but if they get washed, the entire fit is ruined.

Nudies don't fit me in the thigh. The best fit I've ever tried on has been a pair of 33w (my waist size is 32) Capital E 527s. I love the slight bell because it makes me looker taller, and they seem to show off mah booty. I feel like they do for me what skinny jeans do for skinny guys.

Guy you are way too vague. I am a bigger guy 6'1" and 195 lbs, 33 waist. And there are many jeans that fit very well.

    1. Which nudies do you try? I don't like Nudies but I found that the reg ralf fits bigger guys pretty well with no baggy saggy or twiggy legs.

    2. Tonnes of lee cuts fit kick ass on our body type. Heard of the 101? It fits like a dream, very fitted no mega booty and not super slim. And lee cuts are done by alot of people, sugarcane, edwin, etc..

    3. I know it can be tough but it seems like you have not tried on many jeans and are making some pretty broad sweeping statements on "japanese reproduction" denim, if your a guy there are tonnes of cuts that fit you the way you want them too (unlike females who usually have one or two cuts that fit their bodies) Anyway i suggest try some lees and lee cuts.

  15. My cousin told me there is some place in the meat packing district in NYC that does bespoke denim? He does not know much about denim and moved back from NYC right after 911 but does anyone know anything about this. He said it was by some other swank store Jeffry's maybe? I know very little about NYC but I was curious to find out what this store might be.

is there a thread on pin-rolling jeans?i tired searching but either it doesn't exist or im blind(i really do have poor vision)

Do you mean like When you fold the bottom hem to one side and then roll it up to make it super duper tight ala 80s style?

IS it ernest cut and sew?
