  1. Well dkatz I stand corrected. I used to think that Ai wore in kind of flat over time and seemed to lack the same sort of "depth" that is characteristic of other quality raw denims. From what I seen from other denim with a stretch factor I believed it was a property of the stretch in the material causing this lack of depth or character. Your jeans prove my theory quite wrong though. they look great, I especially like the stacks fade.

As for Nole, are you in town this week? Your not still going to Jamaica are you? it blew away.

  2. Develop some will power and do as Tiranis suggested .

On a personal note I went from 188 to 178 lb about 18mths ago by jogging a few miles a week in addition to some weight training and eating a bit more sensibly . I am still at 178lb , 5ft 7 and a 34" waist and not fat .

Not wanting to bore you further with my own experiences but this might just be natural growth dependent on you age . If not change the lifestyle or you will soon be needing a 34 inch waist .

Tough to say what the original posters real situation is. I used to be a 31 waist and in 8 months I went to a 33 waist. The rest of my story is that I am 6'2" and up until that 8 month stretch I had weighed about 170 lbs I am now 190 lbs with a 33 waist.

Maybe it is just this guys time to fill out a bit and he is not a "fatty" but just filling out. No offense to anyone on here but there are many guys on this thread that look unhealthily skinny.

Or...... maybe he need to cool out on the krispy kremes. :D:D:D

  3. It's now looking more like late September or early October.

For photos keep an eye on Vogue magazine.. the women's sized one crept it's way into a photoshoot..

Trust me, it's as odd to me as it is to you..

I am getting fired up for this release hoping to actually be in in SF when you release them but that is more about the stars aligning then anything else.

Any details on which month they might be in vogue so I don't have to look like a creeper reading vogues in Chapters?

  4. Or.... if your really really tough and also secure with your masculinity you are a really good runner and good at running away. You should see how fast I can run away from fights! Plus running away is better for breaking in jeans then brass knucks.

  5. i've seen a guy use those in a bar fight. lets just say if you use them be prepared to move out of the country.

Obviously someone who has seen brass knuckles in action. I concur with this, don't carry knives, knucks, guns, billy clubs etc. Unless you want a criminal record and someone gunning for you.

  6. are you kidding, they are super tight now!, haha, im watching what i eat more now, i just dont like the way i look. but, go back and read my other questions ppl

Maybe the pic you gave us does not really show how super tight these are on you. To me they look super huge on you and you could size down for sure on them.

  7. I'll bump this thread, I have this same pair of jeans with the silver rivets. This is a good deal and some one is going to be very happy with these. They are a bit small then actually tagged, Mine are tagged 34 X 34 and they are a bit tighter than usually 34s and I usually get 33 when I can, so I would say get your actually tag size they will fit very close to your usually except a bit snug an stretch to just about perrrrrrfect.

  8. Yeah i would play it cool for a bit if I were you. Can you just phone him up? is there a contact number listed? Or e-mail and ask to talk over the phone, it seems like you may have trouble working out this whole "buying over the internet thing" I am kidding but seriously just relax for a bit and see what happens.

  9. What the f's up with you, fool.

But just to get this straight; cuffing my jeans wont affect them in a bad way?

Don't cuff your jeans, sand, dirt, and leaves can collect in there and basically destroy your denim. So... don't go there!

  10. Dogfarm - loving them enough to buy them? ;)

2-3 months ago no... but I am getting there.

What do I love about them - for one they are extremely unique - maybe they are gimmicky but at the same time it is a great gimmick. I really like the incorporation of lee and levis detailing. They are a sort of frankenstein jean and I am sure most would find pretty ugly but for me it is almost one of those so ugly they are cute kind of things (like with some dogs ie bulldogs, shar pie, mastiffs) but the main reason is the details, I like the arcs and both tabs, basically you get double of all the good stuff, so as long as they don't get snagged at the border or changed before they are shipped they are really very visually stimulating jeans. Also you would get double leg twist I guess both twisting into the center that would be neat, and also two different selvedge lines. I just really would like to see them modelled in real life or even with some wear on them. but maybe i'll get to be the first we will see.

here are some better pics of all the tasty details:

also the more I have looked into it the more I see my size is hard to come by 33X34

  11. Has anyone bought these:

    http://www.rakuten.co.jp/vintage/720056/756488/780107/

At first I thought they were ridiculous and silly but every couple of weeks I click on them and look at them, and wonder, and I have slowly become enamored with them. Has anyone bought a pair of these or seen some in person or broken in. They look like a regular to slimmish fit but I am not sure.

I think I am falling in love with them.

  12. It was more a response to the "serious inquiries only line" I have a personal rule that when I see that line anywhere I make sure to make some sort of non serious inquiry.

Secondly I should have asked if it was possible to take me seriously, and I guess you guys would have said yes! Wowy wowy "elitist" I guess there is a first time to be called everything.

Anyway think of it as a free bump and a sorry to a_typk... but I am not saying sorry to you guys who take diesel belts so seriously! :P:P:P

  13. I have been thinking of a few different things.

    1. I think cone denim would be cooler than Japanese denim. Just my opinion but I am saying so because we have all seen a wackload of Japanese denim where as for me I see much less talk over cone. I like the blackline but red would be fine as well.

    2. I think the pocketbags should not be straight green but a green patterned fabric maybe a check pattern if you could find it but any pattern would be fine. I have some lees with green pocket bags and they look good but it would be fun to be different from the lee pockets.

    3. Gun metel hardware would be cool and also nippleless rivits would alslo be nice like say the old school lee rivits like of the 45 canes.

    4. This could also become a denim fade contest as we would all be getting the jeans at the same time. Bottom line we NEED to make this at least a little friendly contest when we get the jeans.

  14. are there any really beat-up sexih yet?

I would even settle for some decently beat up regular iron hearts. I have yet to see some good broken in pics, there is that one of some guy on a motor bike but you can't see the jeans too well.

  15. On the bright side any denim you may have acquired pre-lawsuit is now even more rare. So lets say you have some sweet 47 canes with arcurate (my personal favorite) or Iron Hearts with arcs and tab (another fave) now your a pretty big deal and actually have some way to prove that "i liked that way before they became cool/mainstream". :D:D:D
