  1. add spaghetti.

No Mr. Talking Guitar Spaghetti will only compound the problem. Ever look at a plate after it has has spaghetti and meat sauce on it.... still sauce on the plate right?

Rub a piece of garlic toast on the stain that should soak it up.

  2. gonna post the "story" later

i have some tomato sauce on my (prewashed) levi's straight legs..

    what i should do?

(my jeans are now soaking in warm (or warm/cold) water

    what i should do?

Take them to a cleaners, also spot wash before you soak your whole jeans as soaking will spread the stains if there is excess sauce on jeans.

    Soak in cold water.

  3. sorry for the misunderstanding. I have a shop in Portland and I have them on order. I am not sure what the retail will be because I am not sure of the cost (i did not ask when i ordered them) but my understanding is that they are going to be somewhere between 130.00 and 145.00 usd. This is a pretty amazing price considering where they are coming from. The ones that I ordered are in a raw fabric which I think is new for this season. The only bummer is that they only come in a 32 inseam.......

32 inseam? that is poop I hate tiny inseams I am only 6'1" but 32 just won't cut it for me. The reason they were priced so high is that Jasper is a resort town. From what I have seen on about them they are a decent buy at 130 usd. The cut is def'n modern with some modern styling to them kind of skate/surf culture looking to me but coming from Volcom it is to be expected. :D :D There are jeans for everyone.

  4. What is the best way to go about rinsing all of the soap out of the denim before drying it out. I have more or less reached my desired effect of cleanliness with the wash I am doing right now, but when I let them sit for any sustained period of time to dry, soap will start to build up.

Fill tub with cold water, soak jeans, repeat.

  5. Blake are you talking about the volcom white oaks from last year (the ones in the old thread) or is there some new model out this year?

The ones from last year are nice, I think white oaks is really cool I like the name, history, and from what I have heard and seen from some of their responses they have staff that really care.

Saw them at a skate shop in jasper quite a few months ago, they seemed nice decent construction, I don't remeber too much about them, they had felled seems, bottom hem was not chain stitched (I think not 100% sure) I don't remember what colour the selvedge was I really did not pay too much attention to them, they were like 240 CAD and I consider volcom a fashion brands so I barely touched them.

  6. Well I just got my 1945 sugarcane cowboy jeans from mil-mil. I am so stoked about them.

One thing that threw me is that the tag says they are sandfordized, but the description says they are not and I know they are not so I am guessing it is just for the look of the tag.

I am going to soak tonight an start wearing tomorrow, they fit good now except too long, the rise cracks me up a bit they do have a big rise but fit very classy, the waste fits well only a bit snug I think the soak should snug it up more and then they will stretch out to what i need them at. Who knows maybe the soak will even twist the seam a bit (one can only hope :D :D)

  7. The fading looks nice but I would be concerned about the ammount of blow outs you have in them from 6 months of wear.

I also wear my jeans everyday and I work in them as well (construction) the kind of knee and pocket blow outs you have are really gonna shorten the life of your jeans.

They do have some nice fades.

  8. Well if you are really into fit and your in Europe you could try and find some sweet raw Lees. I have some some lee 101b that have a nice fit to them. I am an actual 33 waist and I have full legs (sports etc...) they fit slim but not too slim for me a very classic cut. I also have some bootcut Lees with greenline half selvedge from the euroline which are made of very nice left hand twill denim.

If you could find a 101 cut in the greenline selvedge from the lee euro line that was raw, it would be a fun start I think. I might be blabbering....hmm... nevermind this advice sounds sucky now that i look back at it.

  9. I don't mind the Boss orange label jeans they are nice my current Boss orange label are a really light weight broken twill about 10 oz I guess? They were quite raw and have broken in strangely. Anyway just wash them inside out in cold water (or hand wash) and then hang dry.

Hugo sizing is wacky though mine are a size 35 waist and in most jeans I wear a 32 and my actual measurements are about a 32 33 depending on if it is after Christmas or not.

Where to you live Pappy? Hugo boss orange label retail here all for under 200 CAD at Henry and HS stores.

    My current ones are HB31

As for dry cleaning I am not a huge fan I don't really like the idea of dry cleaning (chemicals = yucky) and I have not had the best experience with dry cleaners in the past (have had a few things wrecked and some how no mater how many times you tell them a suit or dress pant is flat front they don't seem to listen).

  10. Edmonton has almost no Japanese denim. I do my shopping online or during trips. Haven is average at best and gets very little in and what they do get in is super overpriced. Foosh on whyte ave has some OK dunks and very nice staff but they also have trouble getting in stock and most people are on a waiting list to get in their new stock.

I am sorry to say that there is very little decent shopping in edmonton. The Henry store just south of whyte ave and high grade in the west ed have some really good denim sales on right now (nudies for pretty cheap) but other then that not much.

  11. Dry cleaning is fine. What hugo jeans are they? I have some orange labels that I like which do not have a leather label but a stitched orange square in the back.

From what i know about Hugo Boss denim I don't think they have ever put out a selvedge line or really anything to write home about. What is so sweet about these jeans? 270 USD seems like a lot what is your favorite part about them?

  12. I thought the steves no longer frequented super future? :D:D You weiners totally had me on that boat to Japan story I even told other people. I guess I shouldn't believe everything i read.

  13. what would any of you guys suggest for tree sap?. i sat in little bit today pretty pist

Could be a really tough one, talk to a dry cleaners but make sure they are a reputable dry cleaners many dry cleaners can totally screw stuff up because they don't know/care about fabric or how it should be treated.

I think you will need to use a solvent start weak and work your way up.

I have tree sap on some work pants I used for tree planting and it never came out, it is still there and this is 4-5 years later, It looks like a rubbed crazy glue where the tree sap stain is it is a wet looking hard spot on the pants - normal washing won't take it out. I am also assuming this is coniferous tree sap your talking about?

  14. I think I am going to stop looking at this forum. I can't see stuff like this, very nice. I have some sugarcane '45s on there way to me which I will need to devote some time and effort on those red moons look like too sexy of a distraction.

Keep a post going on how those age serge. I am sure I am not the only one interested.

  15. Bought some at a sale for 20 buck CAD. Cut is decent and they are raw. Talked to some of their people on myspace. Only one special edition cut each year is made of deadstock selvedge denim. The rest are made from a denim mill in the US, he would not elaborate. The pockets are all deadstock material.

The stitching is poor, much of it's came out on its own. I am using them as work jeans and for experimenting with distressing and washing. They are ok but don't waste your time wearing them for a year or anything.

I took all the back pocket stitching out makes them look way better!
