Return them. Get a size 29. They may stretch but they will shrink back down when you wash em.

Aotearoa, are you sure the 501 fit is too slim for you as it is? You could go up a size or two and it wouldn't be that horrible. For instance, I can comfortably fit 29, 30, and 31 in Levis. However, I like the slimmest fit possible so I go 29. You could always do the opposite. I suggest trying them on and seeing for yourself.

They look brand new to me.

They look like they're pretty low rise from the pictures, but it could just be really long inseams giving it that effect. Anyway, I agree that they look really sick.
And Geowu, I know. That's the problem with women (as if its the only one..) My lady friend has some PDCs, and I was like "nice denim," and then tried to explain what ring-ring is. Anyway, yea. I had to shut up real quick. By the time I'm done with her, she'll be wearin Nomad Tribe or some other approvable (by me) and exclusive brand, and she'll know why they're good!

OKay 1) Brooks Bros slim fit is NOT a slim fit. Nothing Brooks Bros makes is slim. 2) Thomas Pink is about as unslim as you can get.
Jil Sander, Helmut Lang, both good choices.

My problem with D-Homme is that their shit falls apart. I have a couple Hedi Slimane pieces and all of them have been pretty shoddy as far as durability. I don't know if I'd buy dry jeans, an item you'd ideally be wearing for years, from a designer that produces only subpar durable items.

Dude there's an 8 page thread on APC. In fact, Im done here refer to the other post

alex, no. The hipster is a straight-legged jean, while bootcut ola has a small flare. the hipster is also a little less slim than the unisex, but if youre a dude, you'd need to order a size down (unless you have huge hips), so they may be just about the same. the unisex has a little tapering on the inside leg (although not much). APC doesn't make any jeans that resemble the bootcut ola.

Yea, they have different names for some things off the website. The "Women's jeans" are the Hipsters, and the "Tight jeans" are the Cures.

Talked to them today. They *are* the hipsters. Selvage, yes.

Good point. They must just be lazy then. Those punks.
I decided on women's (aka hipster) jeans, just waiting to hear back from Serge on a couple of things.

Talked to APC today to make sure before I order my tight jeans. They are *not* selvage. She said that the outseam is tapered in and therefore could not have selvage. Duhh.. can't believe we never thought of this before. They taper on both sides all the way to the bottom, therefore it is impossible to have selvage on them.
I'm thinking about getting them anyway, athough one of my favorite things about selvage jeans is how the seams look on the outside after they've been worn/washed. Ahh.. the trauma...

The Slim Jim Dry Black are not overdyed, they're raw. That's the only one that I know of, although Nudie may have other styles in dry black now.

Saw them in the Y-3 store in San Francisco. They were like $325.

hahaha... its not just this thread. here and another forum I'm on *everyone* has a pair of APCs, and they all heard about it online. A lot of us have Nudies too. To maintain cool, I have to find something not many others have. I'm thinking Julian Red Californias...14.5oz Japanese, slim straight, selvage, also Swedish

Last I recall, sanforizing is what any label is talking about when they say "pre-shrunk."

Supertrash, I love "The Mariner's Revenge Song," but the other two you called out are actually my other two favorites from the album. I agree, I was pretty pessimistic at first because of the Neutral Milk Hotel similarity but I got over it.
To the above poster whose name I forgot - I'm with you. The Undertones, Real Kids, X (Australian), Stranglers, Tweezers... fucking love it.

Heh. The Gang of Four thing was over as soon as the Rapture released Echoes and every damn band on the planet started callin out GOF as their prime influence.
Also, to the guy whose talkin about Manitoba.. yes, I have all of Dan Snaith's albums. Up In Flames especially is the tits. My favorite is "Kid You'll Move Mountains."
