I don't think they're Yakuza, dude. I think they're kids who are hired to get girls to come to their club.

Miguel - re: Supersystem - agreed. The album is mediocre but that song is killer.
I can't wait to hear the new Xiu Xiu. I've been a fan ever since "A Promise" came out, and I loved it instantly.

Marcus, what's in the repair kit, if you don't mind me asking?

dude, why don't you just look at them and find out?

all jeans (raw or not) will pretty much shrink back to their original size (or smaller) when washed, and will continue to stretch through wear, until their next wash.

What a post...
superslim, when my magical shop opens up in which I sell records and selvage jeans, I'll make sure to buy some good raw women's jeans Those Iron Heart jeans look pretty good on the bums of those model girls, who don't look like they have much of a bum in the first place.

The 1947 Levis rule, the 1966s are cool, and all the other ones are eh I hate the current 501s, I dont think they have a good fit at all.

Deim23, I've never heard of Diesels with selvage. Are you sure it's real selvage and not just a double-sided seam chain-stitched on the edges? That is what my Zathans have.

APCs really are the *most* elitist of high end denim that I've dealt with. Most companies stick with 34" or so for their inseams. The Hipsters are considerably shorter - mine are only 34". I also find it a little odd that Japanese companies like Studio D'Artisan make jeans with 35" inseams. I can only assume it's to show off the selvage.

My favorite suits are (in order of preference) from:
Jil Sander, Helmut Lang, Martin Margiela, Dior Homme, YSL, Dolce & Gabbana
Take that for what it's worth (if that's anything at all

I like the raw denim look but only for a day or so, then I'm ready for the worn jeans again. Of course, naturally worn is preferred, but sometimes it's a bit out of reach. The problem is sticking with one pair long enough to get them really worn in, and then actually liking the wear you get from them.

Anyone else notice that the guy whose selling these jeans bought a pair of fake 201s?

RL = real life.
I'm a 4th year graphic design student (good god thats scary).
And I agree No one at state wears good jeans. I've seen Nudies on occasion, Paper Denims rarely... although I do see lots of Sevens *puke*. There's another SDSU kid on this forum who wears '47 501s..

pointballer, have you washed them? if so, it sounds like the seams twisted, which is normal and desirable by many people. If not, it could just be the effect of a tapered leg. Quite common, I have some 501XXs where the seams tend to sit near the center of my sneakers, and they've never been washed.

Damn amazing. I can't believe the condition they're in. They look amazing. Yea those people are stupid for wearing and washing them, though. THey market the auction as though the winner is actually going to wear the jeans. Maybe for one hour in their whole life they will...

KYinC, that's a really tough one. I might just go for a 29 in Rescues. See that seems really odd that you can go 28/29 in Diesel, but 29 in Anglaise is too tight! I wish everyone had the opportunity to try them on almost as much as I wish APC would get their damn act together with sizing.

Deim, sick ink dude.
Alex, yea that was me. Damn that makes like 4 people I've met in RL who post here.

Quote: A question I have is - what are people ideas/thoughts on a hot shower or tub soak with the jeans on? Is that a denim no no? Would that make them "form fit"? or should I just leave them be? Anyone?
Go for it. It's a classic method of shrink-to-fit. They won't shrink as much as say.. real shrink-to-fit jeans, but they will get a little shorter and a little more fitted around the thighs.
