APC Hemming rundown: Shrink them first, then hem them - OR hem them but leave 1.5" so that when you do wash them they wont shrink too much

Supply and demand, dude. Nudie is probably just getting mroe serious about the American market. They probably want to be thought of on the same line as Blue Blood, Rogan, etc. and if they price them the same, people will equate them as being the best quality.

You're gonna have to tie some fucking cinderblocks to the legs to get them from shrinking less than 1cm. Sorry dude, but just the moisture in the air is going to cause them to shrink up to an inch. It's not avoidable.

Wow, $265... Jesus. I got mine for $180

Is doing anything to dry denim any more extreme than going on a website and posting about it?
You may want the indigo to bleed, so you can skip the towel phase. I, personally, like it when the indigo bleeds unevenly down teh legs.

Just find a friend in the UK or Japan, have them ship to you, it'll be only like $60.

265? Which model were they, the Veggie indigo?

Quote: True, but the AA ads seem to cross a line that a lot of others don't (outside of a Terry Richardson shot campaign / magazine spread maybe). Stuff looks like professionally shot porn pretending to be amature porn. Def. seems to work when it comes to shifting shitty overpriced t-shirts.
I'm going to respectfully disagree with you here. Have you ever seen an Abercrombie & Fitch ad, or Guess? Open up an issue of the FADER and you'll see 100 ads that are more sexualized than the AA ads. I also approve of the lifestyle being sold with AA. Instead of "I'm rich, slutty and I'm miserable, look at me pout with all my ambiguously gay male friends in the rain in some exotic location that you'll never see reproduced in your life," AA goes with women who could very well look like girls you've actually dated and seen what they look like the morning after with no make up on. They're on beds and couches and other places where you and your girlfriend would put those panties to good use. I dig.
Also, I disagree that AA shirts are bad for the price. They're my favorite blank T-Shirts, although Spruce is very nice as well.

They're definitely authentic. I've heard at least once or twice of English jeans that don't have the "Anglaise" label.

I love how sleazy he is. And I agree, the AA ads are pretty porny. No complaints here though. The girls actually look real, and that's cool. I prefer it to the model physique that they could be going with.

Quote: Does anyone have experience with julian red jeans? They looked interesting and I might want to try on a pair. How do they cost, what's the fit like, and where I can pick up a pair when I visit NYC?
I have some. They're cool but I don't wear em much.
As for the rest, just go to the website www.julianredjeans.com

You may have sold out, but '94 never will.

• Bootcut.
• Sits low on waist.
uhhh.. lmao? Those things are 1) ultra-tapered and 2) very high-waisted

Okay I see it. No idea. Shoes look kind of like oldschool Vans though.

Forge01, it will take about a day of wear for them to soften up, but when you first put them on they will be so uncomfortable, it will be almost unwearable.

So many women's jeans threads have been popping up! Very few people (myself excluded) really know the answers though. I would say to look at APC Hipsters, the inseam is at least 34, they're a dark raw denim (you could just rinse them once yourself), they're a pure straight leg - no flare, no taper. They're available online (labelled as "Women's jeans" on the site) and the stockists are listed on their website: www.apc.fr

According to the FADER, Fred Segal is the only place you can get them in the country at the moment. (Red Monkey).

Just to add, I would say that if you should them dry on you, its perfectly okay to let the waistband get wet. It will not shrink past your waist size .. I think cotton shrinking is a bit weaker than your hip bones.

Spray starch is available in every grocery store I've ever been to.. right by the detergents and stuff.

Thanks all... No I don't have larger pics.. I got the camera at work because I was the only one in the office on friday
I'm gonna wear em for awhile without washing and then wash them again probably at 7 months or so total... I'm pretty satisfied with how they turned out at this point so I'm not relaly intent on getting crazy wear.

They looked almost identical before and after the first wash. It was more like 2 weeks after the 2nd wash that they REALLY started to develop the hi/low areas.

They shrank about an .25" on the waist and 1.5" on the length. I washed them inside out on hot with hang drying. I also starch them twice a week or so to keep the hige and honeycomb areas stiff. No rubbing though except for my palms. Oh I should add that I wear them every day for about 10-12 hours a day, and ride them when I'm biking, drinking, whatever. The butt area is worn down pretty heavy because I go to the beach a couple times a week and sit on the rocks.

I like the recent article about how speed makes your dick limp. I agree though, most of it is shit. It's free though. I like Anthem, XLR8R and FADER, although I don't read any of them too often. I'd rather just read books.
