Thanks, might take advantage of this Self Edge sale after all.

@julian-wolf Thanks for the clarification, SE has it listed as 70/30 for the Okinawa jeans but other places have it as 50/50. @cusswords I might wait for those, a slimmer fit would be great. I've been trying to avoid sizing up, need to lose weight instead

The waist seemed smaller than the regular pair as well, I'd be around a 36 in that pair. I already have the Oki's in the regular cut, was hoping that a slimmer version of the hawaii jean would come up too. Do you know if the Hawaii and the Okinawa are vastly different in terms of feel and fades? I know the ratio between cotton and sugar cane is different.

Their Blackie Jacket looked really nice. Curious to see if they will carry a similar style next year.

Anyone happen to have experience with the 1108SL? Seems like they run smaller than the usual 1108 based off of Okayama Denim’s size chart however the Fullcount page shows usual sizing for a 34.

@JDelage Dawson has some really great fit pics on their IG, really like how they seem to drape. I might be contacting you next week once I reorganize my denim. Does the denim have some give to it?

@Tiro Hey I’ll keep you updated on whether I keep mine or not. I’ve taken up a diet to lose some of that Covid gain, but if they end up not feeling right after two weeks, then I’ll let these go

@garden gnomes in space I'm in the same in terms of the buttoning. The second to the top bottom seems perfect and the fit from that 2nd button down is perfect. The top button is doable, but very tight. If you have added some extra pounds during covid, maybe they can easily be lost later on? I'd say give it a shot, i'll join you on the weight loss side.

Was able to get some stretch in on my size 34 rather easily, from a 32" to almost a 34", albeit still a bit too tight. Everything fits great except for the waist (Team Blueberry Muffin Top) so I'll see if I can get a bit more stretch before trying to go for a trade. I have a couple of tougher hiking trips planned late September and I tend to lose some weight for those. Just for interest sake, did anyone end going up to a 36 and needed a 34?

Yeah I love it. It matches one of my face masks too

Just got my Tracking for delivery to California. Also began Running more this week just in case sizing is not in my favor.

@Tangem2 I see, thanks for the heads up. I think going TTS would be fine for me then. The measurements look very appealing: not too loose not too slim.

@Tangem2 How was the shrinkage for you? The denim looked interesting, especially the fact that some of their homemade denim is mixed in .

Welp, seems like I might have made a mistake when ordering from Zenmarket. I thought I had ordered a 34 but instead received a 30. Just messaged Zenmarket to see what I had actually ordered just to make sure. If anyone stateside is interested in the S1001XX in Size 30, let me know.

My anniversary pair just arrived, on a Sunday no less. Cannot wait to give them a soak when I get home.

Shoot, probably should have gone for a 36 after reading these comments. I went one wash , so I won't know forsure how the denim will fit me. I do remember Ryo saying that this denim stretches a lot more than other TCB Denim when I asked him for sizing help. This only really helps for waist issues, not sure how much stretch you will be able to get in the thigh.

One of packages went from being "not in the system yet" for a week and a half to "delivered" automatically. Quite a pleasant surprise.
If you're selling, do beware of scammers! Especially with recent slow downs. Recently had someone try to tell me that their package said delivered but that they received nothing and that they wanted a refund / filed a claim with PayPal. As soon as I told him that the scanners have trackers and they should be able to trace where the package last was, he started asking if they really track it. Then to my surprise at 4 AM, he messaged me that the package had just been delivered. He could have been telling the truth, but it didn't seem that way.

@Broark ahh good to know! I’ll try to be a bit gentle with the first wash then.

@Broark I hope you are able to get it fixed quick! I ordered the same pair last week so hopefully there aren't any issues with them.

Pandemic Masks
in superdenim

@dudewuttheheck Although Bandana's are not as effective as surgical masks, the presence of a face covering is better than no covering. Surgical masks are able to prevent the release of aerosols/droplets more effectively than bandana's mainly due to the type of material used. These aerosols/droplets get trapped in the covering and can help prevent a person from spreading it if they are infected. These studies go a bit more in depth: Masks and Respiratory diseases and Types of Mask and their effectiveness. I don't work in researching this disease, but I do spend most of my work days fully gowned up in a lab. I find it rather odd that people are so against a prevention measure that has no adverse effect to them aside from maybe making their faces a bit hotter. Those biological warfare references also lets me know that that person does not understand the difference between the blocking a droplet coming out of your mouth and the dispersal of a chemical gas within a confined space.
