Glad it wasn't too serious. Scary though...

Bottom half same as the last few posts. Newly acquired John Gluckow shirt (from S&S, first time in the new Berkeley store). RMC undershirt. Vintage hat also recently acquired.

Congrats on the acquisition, MJF9! I'll have to post a denim close-up of mine. Wondering if it's different fabric?

Could this be by design? i.e. When tightened it would pull the gathered part in an upward direction.

SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)
CSL replied to minya's topic in superdenim
I visited the Brogue store a while back when I happened to be in the area. I was able to return a piece despite it being a sale item (they don't officially accept returns on those). I bought a couple of FW items. A rare opportunity to try those things on & look in the mirror. Very few US stores carry FW. Had a shot of single malt scotch. Can't complain... -

SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)

I've worn a lot of vintage frames. They tend to deteriorate over the course of 2-3 years. Hadn't thought much about it but I think the RayBan frames I have now have lasted quite a bit longer than that with no sings of deterioration. -

With my jackets I do turn them inside out, but don't button up. I'm afraid that might cause odd creases/pulling. I could be completely mistaken about that but I don't want to find out the hard way. I use the 'delicates' setting with no spin. -
Reviving the music recording discussion here, in my youth I had a Sony dual cassette player/recorder. You could record a track on one cassette, then bounce it over to the second cassette while adding another live track. After repeating this multiple times the initial track(s) would lose fidelity & get darker & murkier sounding, but it definitely had a vibe.

That one came out a few years back. Same colors I think (khaki version might have been a bit lighter). In any case it's a great piece!

Well phew! I'm relieved I got the 30th anniversary version without the arcs. Narrowly escaping a scenario where some pitbull lawyer chases me down on the street & attempts to rip my pants off...🤣

LazyS, Does that thing agitate, or is it just a soaker & mangle(wringer)?
-
Yes, indeed. Had been looking at them for a while and finally succumbed to the temptation. I also bought the BR Wm Gibson black chambray shirt. Both items are very nice.

At Inspiration he (Andrew) had one (might have been two) jackets constructed in the original Stifel fabric.

I like the double thickness soles on those boots. Don't think I've seen that on a cowboy boot before.

11 inch minimum? I'd say anything under 13 is unacceptable. -

According to convention a true dress shirt does not have pockets. Then again this kind of shirt is intended to go under a suit jacket so pockets would be pointless in that arrangement. Personally I like that kind of shirt but I always wear them with a tie, & usually a jacket. -

I agree re the macbook air. Very decent. The pro I had before that was awful. Buzzy & distorted.
