Sadly, I don't think that we are really their target group anymore.
I’m not sure ‘we’ ever were.
’We’ are just a tiny ethnic minority with delusions of grandeur ... ‘we’ are the rugged primus (primi?) inter pares

It’s sad that Levi’s can’t make their own jeans

Do they have a website besides their blog?
No - just speak to Seiichiro via e-Mail or LiNE

That's what I wanted to hear
never bought a piece of clothing that I didn’t want to, and then did, wear
I might call what I have a ‘collection’ but they’re not museum pieces to be kept under glass

You gonna keep these deadstock ?
Nah - that’d be a waste. Naturally they might stay ‘dead stock’ for a while ... but only until I’ve got some wear out of my other gear.

They really are. The arcs especially are such a beautiful shape.

My favorite is the period between the war years
Yeah, I think it’s the best of times in that context ... and I guess in my particular case quite a lot of my other gear is based on styles from that era.

Ok you lot - simmer down
That isn’t my gear, that’s what FW will be issuing in the next collection. At this stage I feel merely ‘whelmed’ ... I’m getting a bit sick of the WWII fad. I do agree with @Flash , @Dr_Heech and @JMS and their individual and collective viewpoints about all the good stuff that can be enjoyed from that period of jeans making, but I’ve seen enough of it. I’m sure FW will probably recreate the designs really well but I just can’t get enthused.
Come the time of issue I’ll probably need to search this post out again and delete it ...

Another nice cardigan. Is that a cotton or a wool garment?

“What shall we call a thing anyhow? It seems quite arbitrary, for we carve out everything, just as we carve out constellations, to suit our human purposes”
People love to get offended don’t they?

I’ve not found the soles to be any less durable but don’t go thinking they’ve magical qualities. They’re well made - probably no better or no worse than most others - but I love them primarily for the design. For me they just tick every box

Did the sizing work out?
Those are Mill Reef - not Warehouse. After we chatted and I was going to get the Warehouse model, by pure chance, my friend found these ... so these it is. Still very grateful to you though.
1 hour ago, julian-wolf said:Really like the look of those—are the products shown on their web shop no longer of the same quality? Poking around, I saw some reference to them closing down operations around 2014, but their shop is still showing stock for most models…
Always on the hunt for that style of sneakers…really happy with my Nigel Cabourn / Lofgren version, but not enough so to consider paying full price
AFAIK the business is closed but there was some chat about resurrection via Chinese made shoes - that wasn’t received well allegedly and I’m not sure what’s happening now. The few that are left on the webshop look to be the original models but I’m not touching their payment process with a long barge pole
