  1. Yeah I hope that’s the case. It’s just my preference to see kudu and similar in as much whole form as possible. Lovely stuff. For me a brogue cuts better on a leather with a firmer temper. Trickers are worth the money. They are amongst the best of the Northampton makers and in the main a cut above most of the other brands mentioned throughout this discussion. I’m looking forward to seeing your pics instead of the stock images.
  2. Exactly so Refer Kingsman et al 🤨 Anyway, my tuppenceworth - Trickers are as good as it gets at this price point. I’ve went through a pile of different makers in my life and they have never disappointed.
  3. Then it’s a no from me - it’s likely CF Stead kudu which is beautiful, but on a brogue I don’t think you get to appreciate the variation over the leather.

    Belts

Anchor brand buckles are vintage North & Judd started out in the early-mid 1800s and were eventually bought out in the 1970s. Certain styles and materials (especially pressed steel) are highly prized by the Japanese belt manufacturers
  5. well, I don’t know how to use a sewing machine …
  6. Thank you. It’s all by hand - no electricity is harmed during my work (well maybe a bit of lighting) - I got a bit fed up with all these companies saying by hand and what they mean is someone used their hands to operate a machine, so I do it the old fashioned way. Not that I have an issue with someone using machines though, still get great, and sometimes better, results. 250 foot of thread to make these. I know that because the spool got finished.
