@JDelage, from what I see they're similar to SDAs budget-version from a few years ago, the 20-x line. But that's just a speculation, because of the missing back pocket rivets. Or they're supposed to be late 60s/early 70s models, both seems tempting.
Anyways, more info would be greatly appreciated!0 -
@Flash those evisus look great, which denim and how heavy are they approximately? Can I expect a little stretch in the waist?
Thanks0 -
@501XX4EVER Almost forgot about those 700Cs
Sure as hell you only have two legs to wear one pair at a time, and want to see fades developing, but there are so many nice releases!0 -
Stumbled upon that same post @501XX4EVER, I'm even more tempted.
My only problem is that I can't really justify another pair of unworn jeans in my closet. I still have a pair of unworn LVC 501Zs and a pair of SugarCane woolblend 47s in my closet, and am working on two pairs of SDAs and a pair of Pherrows at the moment
Let's see, if I can pull through until they're sold out2 -
Sorry, my mistake @501XX4EVER, I'm thinking about it. Has anyone made experience with ordering from junkystyle to Germany? Thanks!

Anybody thinking about getting the new colab with junkystyle? Saw it on Instagram and looks interesting. Supposed to be a 1001 cut with a zipper, called 1001XXZ I think.

Any chance you can take some post wash measurements? I'm very interested in these and you're my size
Finally got around to washing these, since temperatures dropped under 30°C here in Germany.
They seem to have shrunk quite a bit and seem slim to me, but that's probably just the '47 cut.
Anyways, here you, tag size 30, washed at 40°C, low spin, air dried [cm/inch]:
waist: 76/29,92
front rise: 26,5/10,43
back rise: 37/14,57
upper thigh (measured at the bartack on the inseam): 30/11,81
knee (33cm down the bartack on the inseam): 21/8,27
hem: 19,5/7,68
inseam: 81,5/32,091 -

Very nice! SdA is currently my go-to-brand
The same with me
@Foxy2 seems like the RMCs have the narrowest hem?0 -

Anyone find the hems of SDA jeans too narrow? The hems of my Suvin Gold and G-002 are so narrow, there is nearly no roping effect because of this.
It's still very narrow on the 108 but at least it there is the roping effect.
Sorry to come late to the discussion, just my 2 cents:
I think it's true in some parts and depends on many factors, as has been said.
Seen on the attached images.
https://imgur.com/a/qbSEA0WOn top are a pair of 202s I got off of ebay about a year ago, bottom are the overdyed mystery 102. Both worn and washed about a similar amount, and as one can see the hems on the 102s "want" to develop roping but seem to be too narrow, while the hems on the 202s are just wide enough to develop nice roping.
I saw the same thing on the hems of my Ironhearts. Narrow hem and heavy denim => not enough room to develop roping, I think.
Also, bonus pic of the 202s and 102 in comparison, both worn about 3 months maybe and washed quite frequently.1 -

Hey folks, is it possible to replace a wool cuff on a n1 jacket if it has a hole and have it look exactly the same as original?
Can you darn the holes on the cuff like a pair of jeans?
Thanks
Indigoproof once replaced the cuffs on such a jacket and it came out great, must be a few years ago, I think, but it's definitely possible.
Anyways, do any of you know of unsanforized black-overdyed indigo jeans? Preferably in a 60s cut or something similar.
Or has one of you overdyed your denim black or something similar?
I know about the od versions of Ironheart, but 21oz is too heavy for me atm and only the 634-cut suits my thighs.Thank you very much!

Thanks for the pictures! I just thought the same about the grey cast in the weft. Are those/ have those been scratchy as well?

Fabric looks really interesting—more regular than most of their current lineup w.r.t. yarn thickness, but super hairy / matted. I look forward to seeing how they shrink up, and how the fabric changes.
Yeah the denim reminds me of a scratchy version of Pherrow's 13,5oz denim with a grey weft, so not super slubby or something like that, just overall kind of balanced. I'll try to keep you updated, will probably stash these until october or so, until it cools off a bit at least

Samurai did a cotton/wool blend a couple of years back for one model of the seasonal blend series of their Yamato line - made for a nice winter jeans.
(Should try to dig my pair out for comparison.)for some reason, I think that SDA also did a similar blend, but I am not certain.
Those sound really interesting, do you maybe have any pictures of them available?

Haven't washed these yet, but can give you the raw measurements, all laid flat. Naoki said they wouldn't shrink much, just about an inch, so I should be expecting about 38,5cm in the waist after washing.
waist, single: 41cm
thigh at the crotch seam: 31,5cm
knee: 23cm
leg opening: 21cm
inseam: 92cm
front rise: 29cm
back rise: 41cm0 -
Thanks @JDelage, classic straight fit, not too loose or too slim with enough thigh room.
They're supposed to be the classic 1947 fit, I think. Haven't soaked or washed them, yet.
I got them through Naoki from Pants Shop Avenue, can only recommend the shop to anyone! Great customer service and super fast shipping.https://imgur.com/a/CScsieb Here's a quick fit pic,.for reference: I'm about 1,78cm, about 70kg and these are size 30. I think they'll shrink up just right. Naoki said they wouldn't shrink much because of the sugarcane-fiber content, but let's see.
Need to take some good fit pics sometime...

I'll just call them mystery-jeans from now on Doesn't matter that much, tbh, since they fit, feel and look good, I was just curious.
Thanks guys!

Thanks for the info @Foxy2, I'll look around for it.
Also some pictures of them (https://imgur.com/a/H6lcijL), please excuse the partly bad quality.
Hope the link works, direct upload doesn't seem to work, or I just don't get it.0 -
Thanks for the warm welcome @julian-wolf ! Took some pictures just now.
https://imgur.com/a/8XJZraS (sorry, haven't figured out the uploading-thingy yet)
The weft has quite the grey cast to it and the denim is kinda scratchy, which probably comes from the wool/sugarcane in the fibers.
Overall the denim feels heavier than the stated 12oz, more like a 14/15oz denim.4 -
Hi there!
I got a pair of old SDA 102s off of ebay some time ago, they still have the tab on the right side of the right backpocket, with a blue dot on it, and they are overdyed in yellow.
The seller told me they were some kind of special edition for a store somewhen around 2007 or so. Well anyways, I was wondering, if any of you guys knew more about overdyed SDAs.
Thanks!0 -
Hi!
I'm new around here and recently got a pair of the wool-sugarcane blend denim, but haven't had time to wear them and so on.
Has anybody had experience with the denim and how it fades?
Thanks!0 -
Would be down for both cuts!
Well, actually anything by OOE.0

forgot the pictures...
Figured I'd bump this thread a little with a few pics of my 466s.
A little blurry, but quite accurate representation of where they're at.
Nice denim for summer, reacts quite well to frequent washing, imo.
