  2. Cheers, After all this talk about another run for a tcb contest, I figured an extra thread to clear out the details would be the next step. Feel free to share wishes and so on, let's see how it goes
  3. We had 50s, 60s, 20s and 40s contests, wouldn't 30s be next in line?

  7. They also have them with quilted lining can tell from experience that the new blanket lining is rather thin and flimsy, not as warm as it used to be...
  8. I live in southwest germany, the region is called Breisgau. Summers here are hot and dry, winters mild but we get frost for a week or two usually. Sometimes - 12°C, but only for a day or two. Not ideal weather for mediteranean plants, but I guess I have to try
  9. @Hopethisoneisnttaken thanks! Where do you live, if I may ask? Would love to have a tiny orchard myself. If you use the whole fruit it works out fine, imo. Since yuzu peel is s bit sweeter and more aromatic the recipe can be altered like this (at least i tried it and it worked fine). Tbh I only found out about yuzu because they are supposed to be pretty hardy (grafted on trifoliate orange down to -15 °C and on their own roots down to -12 °C) the fruits are great though. I'm on the lookout for other hardy species for our balcony right now, but most are just supposed to taste like bitter grapefruits or trifoliate oranges, which isn't my thing.
  10. Not as scientifically important but still fun: My parents got a yuzu tree a few months back. Fruits and all, in the fruits were lots of seeds (around 20) about 1,3 cm diameter. So huge seeds for a citrus. Since our own yuzu died because it was grafted on a less hardy rootstock, we were on the search for a replacement for a while and behold: We put the seeds in germination containers and nothing happened for a good while. 6 - 8 weeks germination (1 still hasn't put it's head out, even though it is rooting), a bit of water and a warm spot and we got 6 plants, 1 coming. Let's hope they all pull through
  11. Bump on this thread. Got a pair of 811s on ebay for a good price. Thighs a bit slim and rise a bit low, but I'm used to 40s rises. Fit reminds me of Pherrows 466. Pretty good condition albeit a few popped stitches in the crotch, removed leather patch & bit of crotch-fading. They definitely need a hem, being 86 cm long and me recently wearing everything cut-off/hemmed to 74 cm The denim reminds me of the last Evisu No. 1 denim I've handled and the TCB 40s denim, being quite dark and somehow rough and smooth at the same time. Now I just have to make a decision regarding chainstitch-hemming/lockstitch hemming (diy)/cut offs...

  14. @beautiful_FrEaK if you like 'em, get 'em I'm a more casual guy myself, but find myself implementing more fancy stuff on the regular recently (tucking ocbds, wool sweater on top). To be fair, I really like the contrast of aestethics sometimes, can keep things interesting ;)
  15. Are they at least getting sold at some kind of auction? The place I grew up with, had a problem with the bikes being left at the train station, so every year they had a deadline, up until that you had to remove your bike. Else they would take an angle grinder to the lock and auction them off at the auction. At least the young ones and people knowing how to repair the basics could get cheap(-er) bikes that way.
  16. Only thing stopping me are my dry rotted white orrizzontis I got from PSA a few years ago
