I prefer stretch to fit , as my one wash Jeans (2 FC1108, 1 FC1109, 1 SugarCane , 1 Momotaro), which started as 86 or 87cm waist are now 91 or 92cm, I can easily wear them without belts even. Also , my raw OA01-XX started as 91.5 cm, shrunk 5cm less and now stretch back again to raw position, wearable without belt. My Warehouse 1001xx in raw as 94cm , shrunk and now stretched back, though my required waist is 91 or 92cm but I must wear belt with this pair as by sitting and working pressure applies , and these WH1001xx tend to reach to raw position , roughly to 94, beyond waist requirement. So , in my opinion we must target Raw position even buying One Wash pair. Raw measurement is cap, within this tolerence limit , the waist is safe. -

One shop sharing 88cm in size 34 FW 601xx 1951, other shops sharing 85 or 85cm. That's why I opened discusion of using Waist Measurement methods: 1. Relax Method (as shown above by Hoosier) 2. Flat Method (aka Measuring along the top edge) Each of them gives different waist measurement, I prefer 2nd one, used by Okayama Denim, Denimio, Rivet and Hide, etc. https://denimbmc.com/how-to-measure-the-waist-on-jeans-the-two-industry-standard-methods/ -

Golden words by b_f either have to take W34 and "stretch to fit" or W36 and "shrink to fit" -

my actual waist is 91.5 cm or 36inches wide (using flat method). FW 601xx 1951 size 36 one wash is 90 or 91cm already, as with wear the pair's waist will increase so it will become too loose (if the pair becomes 94 or 96, it will be too loose). I bought 36inches / 91.5cm wide OA Yofukaten OA01XX size 36 which got shrunk first and later become 91cm again after use, also WH 1001xx size 34 was 94cm in Raw state after wash shrunk but with use stretchd back to 94cm. -

Guys! Anyone who used FW 601xx 1951 "one wash" can recall, how many centimeters the waist is stretched after using the pair for 10 or 20 days? a shop shared the waist in size 34 is 86cm wide (43 x 3 = 86), I am targeting for 92 or 93cm wide after use. Whetehr FW 601XX 1951 will stretch 5 cm or more? if yes, the pair is having correct waist width for my size. I used one wash in Sugar Cane SC41470 , Momotaro 0105sp streteched 5 cm more and Fullcounts 1108 and 1109 in one wash stretched around 6cm more, making waist width from 86 or 87cm to 91 or 92cm. Please advise. -
SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)
dada mafiosi replied to minya's topic in superdenim
Guys, anyone recently bought Freewheelers 601xx 1951? what is the waist measurement in size 34 or size 36? As this pair is sold "one wash" , I expect that after use the waist will stretch back to raw or near raw position, say waist is 86cm so it will become 91cm or if the waist is 88cm , it will become 93 cm, right? I am used to flat measurement method (A) but most shops using "waist measurment using circumeference" (B) I see using Flat Method the waist is 45 x 2 = 90cm , whereas using 2nd method 44 x 2 = 88, so if a shop is using 2nd method, simply I can add 2cm to reah "Flat Method A" right? elegant pair: OOE Yofukuten OA01XX. , the most elegant denim I have used, fades nicely, stands out tall among any other Japanese denim brand. Perfectly done by Ryo and Hiro, I notice its look and feel creates a difference, though a casual silhouette but looks graceful while comparing with other pairs. My pair produced the best roping I ever witnessed. Fades gracefully , blue shade that uncovers gruadully keeps the elegance intact. Leather patch feels like silk patch. Flawless and sewn with absolute perfection. Usually out of stock quickly. perfect pair: No denim enthusiast can go wrong with Warehouse 1001XX , Flagship model of "WAREHOUSE". A perfect weight to use all year round, look and feel, sturdy and long lasting, fades nicely. The cut is a little bit slimmer than Warehouse other models. Vintage Japanese denim journey cannot be completed without 1001XX. Usually out of stock quickly. the most comfortable pair: I have used two pairs of Fullcount FC1108, the most comfortable among other Japanese denim, due to use of Zimbabwe Cotton and 13.7oz weight, stitiching is true Osaka five, fades in vintage way, giving all opportunities for fading including blowouts , roping, train tracks, honeycombs, whisekrs, etc. My 2019 model pair had greenish threads as well in some parts of the pair, making unforgettable experience. In post 2019 models, they changed the threads color scheme. Each of the model above is meant to buy again without any second thought

WH 1001xx , size 34, fit pics I noticed denim neps (please ignore low quality picture taken using iPhone) Outside surface is rough, even inside I felt rough and scratchy. The silhouette feels lighter on the body.

Warehouse 1001xx Banner Denim , Size 34 I measured the unwashed pair taking pics, thereafter carried out washing , first hot soak for almost 45-60 minutes , thereafter two cycles of machine wash, each of them 30 minutes approximately with 40C temperature and no spin. I measured after wash again and took pics. I wore them for approximately 2 days (8-10 hours every day), measured again after use and took pics. I notice that pair stretches back to original non wash measurements in areas such as waist and back rise, others areas also stretch back to some extent where pressure was given during the use. Here are the measurements in CMs: Unwashed / Washed / After use: Waist: 94 / 88 / 94 Front Rise: 31 / 29.5 / 30 Back Rise: 41 / 38 / 41 Thigh: 33 / 31 / 32.5 Knee: 25 / 23 / 24 Inseam: 84 / 77 / 78 Hem: 23.5 / 22 / 22 Based on feedback from members here and Hinoya/Warehouse websites, I estimated 7cm shrinkage in inseam, so orders OD to hem the pair at 84. After wash I found the pair 77cm exactly what we estimated , after use while sitting on the ground inseam stretches a little bit, I measured and found 78cm inseam , exactly what I was looking for (77-78cm) Also to note that , after wash I noticed roping started to appear in hems (please see the pictures below), Warehouse sizing is not able to understand, I have a pair 800xx , bought in 2019/2020, which is also size 34 one wash, when I received it , it was 83cm only and stretched after use and became 88cm. Whereas 1001xx size 34 in non wash is measured 94cm. my pair of 800xx became unusable due to my waist size now, thanks again to @beautiful_FrEaK who advised to stretch using different techniques , one of them was to "use pants stretchers" , I bought from Amazon and now able to use 800xx that is stretched currently to 92cm by using the tool

Here is an update of purchasing a pair of Warehouse 1001xx from Hinoya, Thanks to Okayama Denim who carried out Chain Stitch Hemming (Hinoya has a policy not to carry out hemming for overseas customers for new pairs), OD claims that they have Union Special 43200G machine. Warehouse 1001xx size 34 non wash is having 94cm waist width, which is more than 36inches, whereas OOE Yofukuten OA01xx-552 non wash in size 36 is having 91.5 cm (i.e. 36 inches) , I always prefer to have actual measurement waist width as per my requirement rather than believing on size tags

Thanks for update, followed up Hinoya and found size 34 Warehouse 1001xx

Almost every brands list the length shrinkage is 6-7cm, but I have used Samurai, Ooe Yufukaten OA01XX-0522, Warehouse 800xx, I notice hardly the inseam shrinks 5-6cm. My Samurai 0500XX shrank from 85cm to 80cm, OA01-0522 5-6cm only, Warehouse 800 5cm only. Maybe someone having experience in banner denim can guide us.

how much inseam length of Warehouse 1001xx shrinks initial hot wash and later on washes? 5cm or 6cm or 7cm possible?
