  1. I only have one sweatshirt, the 12oz ballpark crew neck, from RMC and it wasn't worth the price. The fit is ok, maybe a little shorter than I'd like, and the construction is top notch, but it isn't warm at all. My trashed, 20-year-old, $25 hoodies provide better protection from the elements - "the elements" in this case being a 96-year-old Chicago bungalow kept at 67 degrees F in the winter.

  2. I managed a truly heroic amount of self-control and refrained from purchasing a size 36 this morning when they went on sale and again this afternoon when a couple pairs of 36 were back in stock after previously showing as sold out. I am exhausted. Nothing to do now but wait for regret to settle in. Congrats to those who copped!

  3. @Broark Do the RT1002 fit comparably to the OA02 cut? It looks like it to my eye, but that could be the camera angle.

More importantly, I'd like to get an ID on the house shoes. Wesco? Lofgren? Rolling Dub Trio? Pretty sure I see a Cat's Paw sole peeking out at the heel. :D

  4. @JDelage

Clutch Cafe ships to the US and has the 3031 in-stock. Their prices are higher than most retailers, though. You can get a first time buyers discount, 15% off I think, if you sign up for their newsletter.

  5. Self Edge IG posted that the long awaited 800xx with longer inseam landed stateside and will be available online starting soon (11/16 perhaps?). Warehouse shipments are starting to show up elsewhere in the States, too, so maybe the glacier is melting and the DSB will be available in the not-too-distant future.

  6. Hey Carl. I think the waist on the size 36 would have worked. Raw waist measurement is 36.25". They may have been a touch tight after a wash, but probably would have stretched to 36" with wear. The hips were a little too tight, though. I think this is something specific to my body type, since the jeans work well for others.

  7. It is "strike two" for me with the Denim Bridge BR05/DB19, so I have a size 36 up for sale in the classifieds. It took two pair to determine the cut doesn't quite work for me which is a shame because the denim and details are exceptional. DM me questions or requests for more details.

  8. Denim Bridge, BR 05/DB 19, BNWT, size 36

Unworn, brand new pair of Denim Bridge BR05/DB19 for sale in size 36. Price includes shipping to CONUS. I'll ship internationally with the shipping cost added to the price of the jeans.

The jeans are unsanforized and have not been soaked or washed. Check out Beautiful Freak’s review (https://www.reddit.com/r/rawdenim/comments/gcd3hg/review_the_stradivari_of_jeans_denimbridge_05db19/) for details. Designed by Shingo-san of Denim Bridge and sewn by Kuniyoshi-san of Double Volante. Shingo-san sews a covering over the patch to protect it until the jeans are ready to wear. Such a cool detail and what I'm considering the "tag" in BNWT. There’s not much more I can say that b_F84 didn’t cover in his review. DM with questions or for additional details.

Measurements taken the Blue in Green method:

Waist-18.125" laid flat, waistband aligned (36.25”)

    Front rise-13”

    Back rise-16.125"

    Thigh at crotch seam-13.75"

    Thigh 2” below crotch seam-13"

    Knee-9.5"

    Hem-8.25"

    Inseam-37.25" (original length)

Josh, did you measure them the same way as Shingo do? The measurements have been spot on on all my 4 pairs from Shingo.

Hey @Bobbo. I took Shingo-san's measuring method into consideration, since he measures the circumference of the waist and doesn't use the "laid flat, waist aligned" method. I made the mistake of not getting actual measurements from him before he shipped the jeans. It's my own fault. I've been buying jeans long enough to have known better.

Additionally, I asked a couple other folks who have the 05/DB19 for waist measurements from their pairs. Theirs all measure roughly an inch over tag size when raw. Mine are a 1/2 inch below tag size raw.

From what I observed regarding this slightly too small pair, Shingo-san developed a great cut, and used an interesting fabric and cool hardware. I'll get a pair that fits at some point.

  10. Hey @JohnM!

I actually love the cut and denim - room in the top block without being baggy, a nice taper down the leg without being overly slim, and a terrific nep to the fabric. Sizing is the issue. I think I got my wires crossed with Shingo-san in determining size. I referenced the size chart on the Denim Bridge website for post-wash measurements. The jeans arrived raw with a smaller waist than the listed one-wash measurement. One look and, sadly, I knew they wouldn't work. I wonder if this pair is an anomaly or if they were all sewn slightly under tag size in the waist?

I'll most likely buy a size (or two) up if I can sell this pair. They really are a great looking pair of jeans.

lemme introduce u guys to a treasure trove of old indonesian pop music at irama nusantara ("rhythms of the archipelago"). this one is a classic cha-cha/amekaji country-hawaiian album (legend has it a hawaiian steel guitarist did a tour of the then dutch east indies, got sucked in by idyllic tempo doeloe life, and decided to stay spreading his gospel of hawaiian pop that combined well with indo keroncong) based on life in pasar baru, a market in central jakarta (still exists). browse around, everything is lovingly archived with photos of the original sleeves and 78s/45s/12s/10s (popular economical format)/7s records.

Ho-lee fuck, @oomslokop, this is, indeed, a treasure trove. Such great stuff! Going to get sucked into this black hole at the weekend.

Lately, I've been listening to classics known and unknown.

  12. I realize this is a long shot, but if anyone has the Roy R01 XX20 in size 36 they're looking to move, drop me a message. I rolled the dice on a size 34 and came up snake eyes, the cut too slim in the waist. They went to a good home and I'd love to replace them with a 36.

Hey everyone. I just struck out on sizing some TCB 50’s and have decided to drown my sorrows by trying a pair of 800xx. I was wondering what anyone’s experiences are with how much thr one rinse XX waist will stretch? I’m trying to size it so after stretch, the waist will sit between 16.5 and 17 inches across. Looks like 33 may be the way to go, but just wanted to confirm with the experts! Appreciate any help!

I have the most recent Warehouse 800xx in size 36 (one wash). They were right around 34.5" (17.25" laid flat, waistband aligned) at the waist before I started wearing them. The waist is at 35.875" after months of wear and fit well (I'm TTS 36). You can expect up to 1.5" of stretch in the waist, in my experience. Going by the measurements listed on the Warehouse website, size 33 or 34 could work for you.

In case anyone is looking for the FW20 anniversary jeans.. Self Edge is having a run of the 1000x made with a longer inseam than the general release version.

Great news! Let the "when do they land stateside?" inquiries begin!

  15. Thanks, @jegr. I got a pair of the xx20 size 34. The waist measures bang on 36" which is TTS for me. I'm worried they'll shrink too much even with a  cold wash. Gotta wait and see how stretchy the denim is before I soak them.
