  1. @AlientoyWorkmachine On the Full Count chinos, how does sizing compare to the 0105? Is it like for like?
  2. @AlientoyWorkmachine I didn’t even realise they existed! Somehow missed those when filtering by chino at my favourite retailers… Good to hear they’re likely what I’m looking for, thanks! @FurnitureMaker Thanks for the Jelado link, I love their corduroy pants so if those are anything to go by the chinos are probably great too.
  3. Many thanks @FurnitureMaker That was my concern, the rise looks quite low in the photos of the Warehouse. I’m 6’1 and am used to wearing fairly high rise pants so I’m not sure they’ll be right. Any other chinos with a nice high rise but a construction/fabric like that of the Warehouse? I guess what I’m looking for is a Full Count 0105 but in chino.
  4. On chinos, does anyone know how Warehouse 1082 compares to the Buzz 1945? I have the Buzz ones and love the rise and leg, but the fabric has always felt a bit light for my taste. I know they’re repro but I sort of feel like I’m wearing floaty silk pyjamas when I walk and would love something with a very similar fit but slightly weightier fabric.
  5. @willi On glasses, sorry it’s a bit late but check out Julius Tart Optical (the Japanese one). I’ve got two pairs of the Japan made FDR, a brown pair for my daily wear and black for sunglasses. I bought the frames online and had my local optician do the lenses. I’ve worn one pair daily for just over two years now and they look as good as new. Not totally sure on the story behind why there’s a Japanese company which are made in Japan, and a US company that are made in Italy or indeed if they’re anything to do with each other but I can only comment on the quality of the Japanese one. Honestly they’re the best quality frames I’ve had. I’ve had Cutler and Moscot and the Tart are a notch above in terms of quality. That isn’t to say the others aren’t good, but the Tart frames feel weighty and superior. The only downside is they’re not always easy to get hold of. Alternatively I’d also second the Cubitts recommendation. My other half has some and for the price, their range and quality is hard to beat. Edit: I see Julius Tart are already mentioned, apologies! Would definitely recommend though.
  6. Got this ONI coverall jacket listed on eBay UK with a £135 buy it now. Not sure if these are available still but rrp was around £350. Really nice jacket, fabric sort of is a cross between a denim and a super heavy cotton twill. Only selling as I’m too fat to button it up now.
  7. Reluctantly admitted I got too fat for my beloved 0105 so they’re up for sale and I bought a bigger pair. Pocket needs repairing (or not) and a fair bit of twist from the 12 or so washes but still loads of life left. Currently at about £12 and knowing eBay will probably go for a song. Grab a bargain! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276585905466?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=s1tcXJG_Q7W&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=s1tcXJG_Q7W&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  8. Good eye! Canal loafers indeed. I bought these for house shoes but I’m so impressed I’ll get a second pair for wearing outdoors. First pair of Drake’s shoes I’ve had and needless to say they’re as great as their clothing.
  9. Not that it helps with inseam shrink since they’re cuffed but I just started on a new pair of 0105 so can show the overall shrinkage. My experience with the inseam mirrors what @Jared_Lee said. As you can see, they become slightly slimmer with washing but not much. These are probably 10-12 washes in, not sure of settings but I think either 20-30 degrees and low spin. The newer pair just had their initial wash. Both started as raw.
  10. View Advert 7 (yes seven!) Samurai 'Plain' loopwheeled tee - size XL - Mishap batch bargain So I have seven of these white Samurai loopwheeled tees. One for each day of the week. They're my favourite white tee ever, and yeah I've tried all the usual recommendations. Made in Japan, good weight, nice soft hand and they wash really well. EXCEPT, when you accidentally wash them with a black tee... So here's the deal, they're VERY SLIGHTLY faded to a less white-white due to the above mishap. I replaced them, so I'm selling these ones at a bargain price. Here in the UK, these would cost you £560 to buy new. Other than the colour, they're in great condition. Fit fairly small for an XL, probably closer to a L. I'll ship them free to the UK, and have factored in additional costs to send elsewhere in the listing price. Can provide receipts if required. 12. Beautiful jeans there @Jared_Lee! I’m currently sat here in a pair about 6 months behind yours and washing fairly regularly. They’re just such a brilliant denim to wear, the softness and drape is equally as nice as the look of the fabric.
  13. Thanks yeah unfortunately she needs a 34 which is apparently much larger than any Japanese offerings. Might have to be a Western maker like Dawson that caters for bigger sizes.
  14. Nice, thanks all. I might’ve imagined the better choice in LVC but I’m sure I remember going into Cinch in Soho and seeing a decent range of women’s styles somewhere in-line with the styles available to men. This was obviously a number of years ago, still Cone days. TCB Norma look nice but like the Anatomica only seem to go up to about a 30. I actually have a bnwt pair of 0105 sitting in the closet which she tried and with the right waist size might work well. Dawson looks like a good option also!
  15. Does anyone know of a maker with a decent selection of Women’s jeans? My other half wants a pair of regular/wide straights with a high waist in some kind of dry selvedge. I’m sure I remember LVC having a pretty good range at one point but no longer seems to be the case. Anatomica’s 618 Marilyn looks absolutely on the money but sadly only goes up to 30. Ideally she’d want a 34 or 36.
