Here's my true JNCO fit:
I think the denim draping better once it's not freshly washed will lead to a "slimmer" look:
But to echo Volvo, they really do look slimmer than they feel. Today's outfit feat. suspenders under vest ^^
Oh and yesterday, doing some light construction work

I'd say sizing down is definitely an option with this denim, but not needed, since they're really not enormous in the leg

My 66 are hang drying right now, I'll wear them for a comparable time tomorrow.
66 left, 76 on the right:
There's only minor differences in fit, the lower rise of the 66 is somewhat noticeable but that's it.
A few measurements after 30° wash and 1-2 hours of wear each:
76:
Waist 37cm
Rise 28cm
Thigh 29cm
Hem 19cm66:
Waist 38cm
Rise 26cm
Thigh 28cm
Hem 19cmLength came out at a bit under 32" for both which is perfect for me.

Lounge wear indeed!

Phew, for a moment I regretted just having taken the tags off a pair I got with only 25% off, but that sale isn't on for Germany

Sure, if a dude shows a pic where he wades through a swamp or something I'd be the last to critique his high cuffed pants
To be honest it just baffles me that showing ankles isn't just a "it's hot as balls" thing any longer. When it's 35°C I'm enjoying a breeze around my ankles too. But there's people out and about right now with temps around 5°C in skinny jeans rolled up way over their ankles and they aren't even showing off any interesting socks (because paying as much for one pair as you would for 10 pairs at H&M is inconceivable to them but that's another topic). Girls do it too, fur lined parkas, wool hats and scarfs up top paired with no-show-socks in low top sneakers with a pant roll that shows that off and I just think "which is it, are you cold or hot"?
I'm sorry, this is really more a "I used to be with it, but then they changed what IT was" rant

It took me by surprise how... well, rigid the 76 were after line drying. I put them on for one or two hours while doing the weekly grocery shopping to make sure that they fit (they do). The waist will need a few days of stretching to get closer to pre-wash measurements but crotch and butt are fine already. Thighs I never have problems with anyways. I like them and the denim has a subtle depth to it that I'm quite smitten with. The weft side on the other hand feels really smooth and un-textured.

Ha nothing with high cuffs! I’m prob an inch away from officially owning capris....although i do think it is a little weird when the jeans are really slim and super tapered.
As always, to each their own Personally I just don't get doing the high water look on purpose. As long as I can remember you'd have been ridiculed for it and suddenly a few years ago it becomes fashionable? Get off my lawn

The pose is stupid, yes. But this habit of cuffing so high to practically make capris of your jeans infuriates me even more so hashtag dapper. Hashtag bearded dude. Hashtag everything box fresh never worn.

I'm alternating between Mister Freedom Trooper Boots and Red Wing Beckman in chestnut these days, both haven't been treated yet besides wiping off dust and dirt after use. Few months of wear on the Trooper and a few weeks on the Beckman. It's funny how the left boot shows more creasing on both pairs, perks of manual transmission?

Czech army suspenders high five, no?

Seems I just can't have BNWT jeans sitting around so I gave the 76 a soak followed by a 30° wash. The waist shrunk to 34cm with low spin, I put them on still wet to get an idea of the fit and the waist stretched to 38cm within minutes. I'll be fine Length is perfect for me now, too.
Back into the closet for now.

Yeah, that jacket is so nice. I have too many denim jackets already and I don't even get to wear them that much so I just can't justify getting another. My MF cowboy jacket isn't even remotely broken in yet.

Yeah, that IS really cool. Been some time since I've seen such a cool idea, rider / deck jacket hybrid, nice one.

Good luck with that, Volvo!
Followed your earlier tipps on cheap suspenders and got some Czech army ones, 14€ incl. shipping, can't complain, even if the fake leather feels... fake
I don't think I've ever worn suspenders (at least as an adult) and certainly not with a pair of pants/jeans that's meant for them (i.e. has dedicated buttons). Feeling them over the shoulders takes a bit getting used to but I definitely like that it makes the jeans sit where they're supposed to without a belt digging into my gut (seems like a good excuse to drink more beer, heh). Also, I think the 20s make for a nice butt when they don't sag
All in all a good option under a shirt or vest (not feeling hipster enough to wear them "openly", normally I don't give much of a damn about what other people think but somehow suspenders is pushing it. Even if it's in style and not with rubbish clip-on ones.)
Enjoy shitty pics and a look at my love handles

That sweat is too bulky to be tucked in IMO. I thought the fit you posted a few days ago with a cream shirt tucked in the high rise jeans was great.
Well, this is what I meant... Sure, tucking shirts but tucking a bulky sweat just seems strange to me

Yeah, sure - tucking a sweat would just never have crossed my mind

That MF jacket is so nice. If I wasn't drowning in jackets already I'd be all over it.

Why would you tuck a sweatshirt

Since I got the D1728 in March I've only worn them for 30 days - I just don't like to wear jeans with a strong taper, no matter how much I tried to convince myself otherwise So lovely as they are, they have to go - €130 (plus shipping) for Sufu-members: https://www.ebay.de/itm/162729708914
They're W30.
