Some random shiz that played on my ipod this am..

Morning @yung_flynn I can't give you the numbers i'm afraid.. i've owned numerous pairs of these which i bought worn and i own numerous pairs which are still raw but i've never actually washed a raw pair, i'm pretty sure we can figure this out tho.. You look like a slim guy so you only need worry about waist and inseam.. regarding the waist, I would always recommend going up one size if you want to achieve the same fit as a SC47.. they shrink from tagged, the shrinkage is expected / not irregular but bear in mind that the SC47 already has quite a nipped waist compared to a lot of other brands with the same tag size.. if you look back at pg1 there is a photo of the (raw) waists being measured. The inseam is not ungenerous.. from memory, it shrinks to at least 33" but probably closer to 34" (i think SC47s usually end up around 33.5) .. check out the fit comparisons i did on pg2.. all of the inseams on the M41001 are unhemmed.. i'm 5'11" a tailor would probably say i'm a 31-32" inside leg and they're all worn with a double cuff.. i could still make out the (32") tag of the darker pair.. they were all roughly the same size in the waist so i'd say they were all tagged 32" and they were all slightly too small albeit still wearable so again, maybe just go up a single tag size if you're used to a SC47 fit.. those photos were taken around 14yrs ago, all of those jeans have long deceased so i can't measure but i'm sure someone here has a washed / unhemmed M41001 they can measure?

I still buy CDs (and occasionally magazines) from Rakuten shops.. they're a 1/4 of the price of eBay or Discogs but the cost of shipping eliminates any financial gain i might make.. so i just leave them with the proxy service until i buy bike bits or whatevs and add them to th package up to the cost of £135, that way i can avoid UK border charges. -

Absolute beauty from corpse resurrecting, cult leading, sex offending, country singer Tony Alamo If you're in two minds.. just ask yourself, has Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton or Mr T.. ever not looked dope? -
Excellent find! Def unwashed / unworn, they still have the back pocket sticker. Based on your current posting pattern, i don't think that day will be too far off

It'll have to wait.. i'm wearing a M11026, but my WH 506 work jacket is just rags held together with loose threads so at some point it'll have to go in the bin and i'll relegate the M11026 to work duties and start wearing the Silverstone

A new Phlegm piece went up a couple of days ago.. i though i'd leave it till Sunday before riding down there.. less chance of any cars obstructing my photos.. sadly, there was still a stupid metal thing parked in the way! Post industrial, city living.. the clothing / trainers are not drying on washing lines, they're purely decorative .. rode past this'un on my way home -

Someone around the forum asked if i'd do a little fit guide for the old SC47s I've had.. and still have numerous pairs of these but they've all been raw.. this was the first o/w pair i've owned, i wouldn't have chosen to buy o/w but they came to me as a part exchange for other denim goodies more than a decade ago and i've only just got around to wearing them. They're tagged 32" ..A lot of SCs have a notoriously nipped waist but if you can get the waist fastened comfortably (post stretch) .. they tend to drape through the legs, if you measure around my waist where my jeans sit, it measures 34" This is after a few weeks of wear / stretch Worn with vintage 1984-87 Nike blue label, Cascade Run Off Tee.. Wonder how long till Freewheelers 'bootleg' this one And a pair of Nike Elite Vntg repros Measurements as follows... The waist has stretched back to raw (or even a few MMs beyond) measurements

Only photo i can offer is this white pepper Neal from back in 2012 or summat.. ..worn over a Homespun henley i bought from Inventory magazine store -
Here's one for the collectors.. ..bonus Lenny photo ..it's a 35yr old deadstock Silverstone 506xx repro from 1990 ..according to 'denim legend'.. Silverstone (and subsequently Ground-Alls) went out of business because of the exacting standards of the perfectionist owners.. i don't know if this is true or denim-lore but they did go bankrupt producing an incredible repro during the golden age / largest denim-boom on the planet ..the very first cowhorn patch which has been oiled annually so it doesn't crack shirt weight denim as we would expect ..you'll not see another one of these this week, month, year.. probably ever

I was having a dream about @julian-wolf just before i woke up this morning .. I was in the local park and i spotted him throwing a stick for his dog but it wasn't his aussie cattle dog, it was the dog from 'The Dog House' which was on TV after CH4 News.. he said that he'd taken a job at the university and was looking to buy a house around the neighbourhood with his partner (who i think was Patricia Arquette from True Romance) .. next thing i was carrying some wooden step ladders back to someone who i borrowed them off in a previous dream.. my arms were aching and i realised i didn't know his address.. then i'm in the local pharmacy (which was a cafe in my dream) with JW and his partner, i was explaining that the average UK salary is £35k.. the mortgage company will base your loan on 3yrs of your salary but the houses cost £400k so you'll need £300k deposit which you will never save up because rent is more expensive than mortgage repayments.. so his partner says "this is why i keep printing short stories about Vicky Keys" (i've got no clue who Vicky Keys is... i googled it when i woke up.. still non the wiser) .. next thing she had an old manual printing press and she was printing the front covers.. which looked like old Y2K Faile graphics.. then i woke up -
Pfft!.. amateurs, you’re our ‘musician of the year’ .. every year!

Everyday's a school day when you have the memory of a goldfish.. So the only new infos is Ichiro Ueki potentially working for Evisu in the 90s ?
-
Remember those^ RRR's of mine which i sold to @Thanks_M8 I thought i could swing a 31" but they were a bit too snug anywho.. there is a size 32" listed on Mercari for anyone interested https://zenmarket.jp/en/mercariproduct.aspx?itemCode=m68879704515 They're a fantastic old, rare as fk repro from 1998..
-
Nearly right then.. either lost a bit in translation or the Evisu garment factory supervisor from the 90s and the owner of Gardener are the same person..
-
I was reading recently that Gardener were made by Evisu (what we previously suspected) using Evisu denim.. which is why we see the Take5 4 jeans collabs.. (Gardener, Dry Bones, Pherrows, Stormy Blue and such..) but what i didn't know was.. at that time (mid-late 90s) the Evisu factory supervisor's name was Ueki, hence the name on the tab.. it's just a happy accident that it reads Levi's when partially concealed by the pocket..

Easy.. just get within earshot of the bow bells of st. mary's.. dig a big hole, cover it with leaves, carefully place a pair of Ande Whall's in the center and just wait.. once he takes the bait.. don't let him out till he pays up.

..reimbursing a 20% share of the inevitable loss would be more like it
