    Ok, give me a few hours, I’ll measure it up when I get home. I can’t do much about the price I’m afraid, they were released at an exhibition for rarely seen 1946 goodies from the Toyo vaults, I managed to buy the jeans but all the jackets sold out on opening night so I had to pay a small fortune for one, a few weeks later from Yahoo in o/w condition...

    Yep.. that and being financially privileged enough to consider a £150 mark-up on a pair of £150 jeans a perfectly acceptable price to pay.. it’s just not a retail model which could work in many of the cities across the UK..

    That sounds horrible.. Any good? .. i dunno, good at what? they're just selling overpriced jeans to clueless Londeners with too much money, it's like shooting fish in a barrel I've used their hemming service numerous times and it's acceptable for £20 .. (i think R&H charge £30) our options are fairly limited over here. I don't shop at these kind of places.. i walked right past R&H a few weeks ago.. i just don't see the point in going in to look at jeans which cost 50% less in Japan.

    I'd say run with it.. i've enjoyed the entire journey, i've enjoyed gaining knowledge even though i've forgotten most of what i knew, i'v enjoyed wearing and obsessing over most of the jeans i've owned.. i wouldn't change any of it, just be aware that ther is never an end to this, there is no grail, we're just trying to fill an empty space inside.

    I like this^ Forever chasing the first hit for me.. the feeling i had when i thought.. this is it.. this is what i've been looking for, that emotion is forever stuck in your brain, it can grow to become something more than it ever was. I'v always been mildly hooked on SC-47s because of this^ reason, are they the 'best' jeans i've ever owned, no of course not.. but after a 20+ year quest for the denim grail wearing numerous pairs to rags without ever buying a second pair.. i've come to understand that somthing which can trigger an emotional response is more important than a perfect replication of a 1946 detail. When i look back at my overwhelming feelings of want for past denim acquisitions, hoping they would replicate the feeling only for them to be forgotten and replaced by more current acquisitions.. maybe this one will? .. i'm glad i stepped off that train.

    From who? I’ve got a few pairs of NOS Stars n’Bars which Ryan gave me years ago (ikr.. pretty kind) excuse the cobwebs ..if you flick back through the sneax thread, I’m pretty sure he posted deets.. i’ll have a look through my emails. edit- he gave them to me in 03/21 so work back from there
