  1. We have a thread Only semi-active person i can remember with Yamane is @tg76 but it's not very often i tune in here so there will probably be more
  2. In it's essence, it's something we all should support, there have been numerous instances where impressionable children have logged onto fb looking for support with their mental illness and the algorithms have bombarded them with images of self harm and directions to suicide sites which ends with the inevitable.. Zuk ain't going to do shit if it bites into his profits so the government has had to step in.. but being the government, the regulations are poorly thought out and ill conceived.. Tis why you're seeing that c**t Musk's online tirades directed at our PM because his profits margin will slip if people are not given the freedom to convince teenagers to take their own lives. ..and why he's financially supporting that other c**t Farage to spread his hate and division.. Yes @AlientoyWorkmachine 'regulatory capture'.. regulations are introduced which are disproportionate for small players so big players who can meet the costs of protecting themselves control future traffic. Hopefully LFGSS are overreacting and a simple disclaimer "This Site Does Not Tolerate ****, ****, and **** will suffice but it's not looking good at the mo..
  3. The plugs are starting to be pulled on some smaller communities.. https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/401475/
  4. I'm still picking through the bones of it.. but has anyone looked at the implications of the UKs Online Safety Act on superfuture? @Maynard Friedman @beautiful_FrEaK ? https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/online-safety-act-explainer/online-safety-act-explainer Who the Act applies to The Act’s duties apply to search services and services that allow users to post content online or to interact with each other. This includes a range of websites, apps and other services, including social media services, consumer file cloud storage and sharing sites, video sharing platforms, online forums, dating services, and online instant messaging services. The Act applies to services even if the companies providing them are outside the UK should they have links to the UK. This includes if the service has a significant number of UK users, if the UK is a target market or it is capable of being accessed by UK users and there is a material risk of significant harm to such users.
  5. You've got far too much time on your hands.. but well done! It was a great discussion
  6. We had a discussion re- how Levi’s applied painted arcs years ago.. I think, In the blunders thread.. @Duke Mantee dug up some evidence.. I can’t be arsed to search for it because the search bar sucks, maybe someone with mod powers can?
  7. You must’ve missed my recent cheeseburger contribution to this thread.. Some Americans yes.. but ‘Americans’ as a generalisation, I wouldn’t say so.. We can be equally as judgemental about fellow Europeans, one thing I can say with certainty, stupidity is never confined within borders.
  8. You’re allowed to use reasonable force to defend yourself or your property I only remember one case here in the UK which brought the law into question.. there was a guy called Tony Martin, he lived in a remote and rather dilapidated farm house, he was having issues with folks breaking in and steeling his furniture (theft is always a crime, even if you find someone on the street, it doesn’t make it your property) the police had no record of these crimes but if you’ve ever reported theft to the cops, they do fuck all so there is very little point reporting it.. Some dudes broke into his house, I’m pretty sure their intention was to steal his stuff rather than photograph his decay.. he was waiting in the dark with an illegally held shotgun, opened fire shooting at random in the dark and killed one of them.. it went to court, his supporters believed he had every right to defend his property but we have a ‘reasonable force’ law over here.. ie- a burglar breaks into your house.. is it considered reasonable to (let’s say) hit them in the face with a baseball bat, killing them in the process if they are (to quote South Park) coming right for you.. yes indeed it is, is it considered reasonable to stab them in the back if they’re running out your door with your laptop under their arm.. then no, because you’re not under threat.
  9. I was looking at a new photography book last week (Abandoned by Angus McKay) of properties around the highlands.. Some lovely photos https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy8900zp534o
  10. A lot of that^^ Wende Cragg docu is taken from Klunkers the Billy Savage film from 15yrs previous.. It's focuses less on Wende but it's the same crew / story.. almost word for word You can buy the DVD for £40.. or watch it for nowt here.. https://vk.com/video-64941521_167503531 It's a much deeper dive into the culture
  11. I'm glad we're not a nation of crazy gun nuts.. i'd have more holes than a colander Over here.. tresspass is a civil case, if you find an abandoned building, it's up to the owner to keep you out, if you break in / damage someone's property, that's a crime, if you climb in through an open door or window, you've done nothing wrong, if the owner doesn't want you in there, it's up to them to keep you out.. If you are taken to court, they're trying to reclaim costs for the damage you caused while breaking in.. no sign of a break in, no case.
  12. That's right.. Is there no tag in the pocket Martin?
  13. I sold my M65 around a year ago.. it was from the early days before the supply of deadstock zippers ran out.. the amount of questions was exhausting, i got the feeling it was blogers, just using me for infos.. i replied 16 times to one guy's questions then he just cut me dead withot an offer.. great jacket but a hard sale.
  14. If you put this place behind closed doors it would be the final nail in the coffin..
  15. Remember that Chinese mill-repro forum i found?.. they'd copy/pasted photos of us wearing N1s, M65s, A2s.. and so on.. they were discussing each of our waywt pics and that one was always a favourite.. the muscle-man forum, they were all fkin massive with testosterone and HGH.. one of them had stumbled on this place.. they were all laughing at our denim-absurdities, with avatars akin to grindr profiles
  16. They asked me to submit some of my jeans years ago so they could do a feature.. why would i want to do that? I've often seen the M-Series archive quoted in Yahoo sales which i take as a compliment
  17. Not exactly a Type 1.. but if you're looking for somthing similar with a short body and wide shoulders, the LVC 1880s triple pleat is as short as they come.. if i remember rightly @Maynard Friedman has a size 40 for sale which should fit the bill, it was recommended you size up.
  18. You def get more shrinkage with a hot wash than you do with a cold wash and not just jeans, cotton t-shirts too.. i've worn the same jeans and Gildan tees for years in both home and workshop environment, in order to get my work clothing even close to clean, it needs washing at 40°C, the white tees at 60°C.. the tees are tight when i put them on but stretch back with wear.. whereas my clothing worn at home washed at 30°C doesn't shrink as much, the tees hardly shrink at all.. my clothing doesn't dry at room temp, it dries outdoors on the washing line.
  19. Outside work, i hardly ever wear a denim jacket nowadays.. (hence the sale) i'm usually just running around in jeans and a sweatshirt, if it's cold, i'll stick a down jacket / vest over the top.. if it's raining i'll stick a waterproof over the top.. In work, i'm still wearing my trusty, yet very threadbare WH 2001 every day. Beside the WH and the Junky i'v just got a LVC (555) 506xx which i only wear with very worn jeans.. i'm not keen on crispy new dark jeans worn with a well worn, faded denim jacket look..
  20. Sold.. Thx for the interest Here you go lads.. Length is taken at the back from beneath collar to hem Seen here, it's perfectly in proportion for a 506xx It's in o/w condition with the tiniest amount of rub to the cinch strap.. i can photograph it of course but we get very little daylight at this time of year so you'll either have to take my word for it or wait till the weekend.
  21. Ok, give me a few hours, I’ll measure it up when I get home. I can’t do much about the price I’m afraid, they were released at an exhibition for rarely seen 1946 goodies from the Toyo vaults, I managed to buy the jeans but all the jackets sold out on opening night so I had to pay a small fortune for one, a few weeks later from Yahoo in o/w condition...
  22. It’s tagged 40, do you want me to measure it up?
